«Yoga isn’t just exercise for me, it’s a chance to let go of the days worries, focus on my breath and get centered again. That’s what Pilgrimage offers me, a calm, gentle environment where I can just be who I am or where I am (physical flexibility NOT required) with staff that cares about their clients. A nurturing, fun place to do my practice.» — CT, student

History

Established in 2007.

Sujantra McKeever opened a spiritual book and gift store back in 2002, taking the first steps in creating Pilgrimage of the Heart. Over the years, Sujantra would offer a few yoga and meditation classes in the store, and eventually dedicated an entire room to the practice. With time the classes grew, and the store transformed into the yoga studio we have today.

Pilgrimage of the Heart now includes studios (one in Normal Heights, the other in North Park) and over 70 classes per week including four free meditation classes, one free yoga philosophy class, and two free music meditation class. Yoga styles offered include: Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, and Hot Yoga.
