Pony Land: Pony Rides & Petting Zoo

Had an absolute BLAST here and had no idea it even existed until we decided on a whim to go check out the US/​Mexico ocean border (this area is an actual state park). On our way to the park, we saw this ranch and decided to check it out. (Of note, it is only open on Saturdays and Sundays).
We have a toddler, and she went crazy around the animals. This is no standard petting zoo! All of the animals were super friendly, especially the cow, who rubbed her head on my leg like I was a scratching post. Other friends in this pen were goats, an alpaca, giant turtle, and several hilarious pigs. Outside, there was a rooster pen and rabbits with lots of nearby horses.
We also sent our daughter on her first pony ride, which went about how you’d expect. The staff here were so friendly I don’t even remember them asking for payment. I paid $ 20 and I still don’t know how much it was supposed to cost. I do remember seeing a «cash only» sign though.
If you have kids who love animals, I can’t recommend this place enough. Make it part of a day trip to San Ysidro!

Awesome place open for pony rides and petting farm. Also offers birthday party venue on site as well as off site activities. Animals look extremely healthy and cared for! Staff was really friendly and helpful. They have a great set up. Parking was on the street right in front of the place. Shaded picnic area for hanging out while your kids ride ponies and see the animals!
