I decided to use Chris at Qwik automotive because the spell the word Qwik so quickly, so you know they are good :-) I have to say, I was very impressed with his timelines, professionalism and his ability to work within my budget. Basically he told me everything that was wrong with the car, but I could only afford some of the work at the time, so he prioritized repairs from a safety standpoint and we took care of the essentials first. I will definitely be going back to finish up the rest. Highly recommended.

Qwik Auto was: 1) QUICK! 2) Super friendly 3) Very reasonably priced. I got the tint taken off my windows after receiving a ticket, but they made an aggravating situation into a positive resolution that was quick and painless. Great auto shop!

I had a stereo removed from one car, and put in my new car. Also got these guys to tint the windows in my new ride. They did a great job and were pretty helpful with everything. I’ll definitely be a return customer!
I see some negative reviews here on Unilocal for them, and seems to be from all the cheap skate Groupon people… You get what you pay for people. Why would you ever want to go somewhere just because they have the cheapest prices. Plus, these guys have a business to run. Businesses cost money. If they did $ 10 oil changes all day they wouldn’t last very long.
Anyways, they were pretty upfront with me and I feel like I got a good service for a good price. Cheers guys!

Chris and Andrew are the most honest, informative, and knowledgeable mechanics I have ever met. I came in for an oil change and tune up on a used car I recently purchased and they took the time to sit down with me and explain that my radiator was cracked and explained the dangers of driving around with this, especially in this hot weather. There were several other minor issues that they had caught and without their professionalism and attention to detail would have been missed and potentially ruined my car. They were honest and worked with me to give a reasonable price and even gave me a ride home so that I would not miss important appointments I had scheduled for the day. I highly recommend Qwik auto center, their timeliness and professionalism cannot be matched anywhere else.

They are not only friendly and professional but they go over all your options, show you whats wrong (only if something truly is) and provide insight on how to keep up before other problems arise. I would recommend Qwik Auto to anyone.

Not super crazy about these guys.
The people at the shop were really nice but their sales tactics are painfully obvious. They mark everything up so they can pretend to give you discounts and they make a big deal about these «discounts»
I went there for a $ 10 Groupon oil-​change. It says right on the Groupon that there’s a disposal fee, so fine. They said I needed new air filters so yeah fine, but I know I could go to buy air filters for less than $ 20…do I feel like I should have to pay $ 40 on top of the filters for labor because I don’t know how it install them myself? No. Do I feel better about it because you’re telling me you’ll give me a 10% discount? No.
They also told me I had a small seal leak in my transmission. I was quoted labor well over $ 200 and $ 15 for the part. Then I listened to this big song and dance about how it would take hours and hours to seal the leak, but they would only charge me 3 hours of labor and face-​value for the part. Never mentioning that you can buy a $ 10 bottle of Lucas Oil to seal transmission leaks. They also took 2 hours finish my oil change…
I don’t know, I understand that they gotta make money, but I also work for a small business that provides a service and my boss NEVER upsells, or pretends to give discounts, and she always makes sure that people know ALL of their options.

I had an expensive electrical issue on my Jeep Wrangler. I was then recommended to Chris by a good friend. Chris worked with me on the price and made the experience an awesome one. Ill be going back to Chris next time I need anything repaired on my jeep. Thanks Chris!

Great work and at a fair price ! The staff is always friendly and very knowledgable of their trade, I will always be going back to them for any auto need I might have ! Hope they are ready for this tranny swap !

I feel bad giving this a 1 star because the people who helped me seemed really nice, i got my groupon price paid the oil change fees changed my drain plug for $ 25 but they forgot to put my engine oil cap back on. Oil splattered all over my engine i have to wash it down and they didnt change my oil filter. My engine couldve blown up if i hadnt smelled the burning oil. Sorry but i cant go there again.

I worked with a fantastic mechanic here named Chris. Very personable, easy to talk with and trouble shoot. My Acura had a major A/​C failure and had to stay with him for 2 days. I got it back for less than half what the dealer was going to charge me and I have a working air conditioning unit again. I’ve already recommended these guys to my co-​workers and I would continue to go with them over the over priced shops.

Bought the $ 10 Groupon ended up costing a EXTRA $ 13.15 for a regular oil change because of tax on regular price oil change rate of labor and «parts» + oil disposal fee + extra oil fee (my car needed 6 quarts instead of 5). Chris said my car had all these problems and I asked him what was wrong and he said when your ready to pay then I will talk to you about them. Fast oil change only took a hour but SHADY business and mechanics.

Bought my new tires and a new audio deck here back in May for my Hyundai Tiburon and had an awesome experience. I’m still very much in love with my radio til this day! They even installed my front license plate for free (and I didn’t even ask).
Anyway, I had to come back again today to get my radiator fixed (an emergency) and received just as great of service as I did the first time I visited. Not only was Chris straightforward, he worked with me on price and was able to do the repair today, despite me not having an appointment.
I’m very grateful for all the help I’ve gotten from this place, I recommend it to my friends, and I’ll be back here again to get the rest of my repairs done soon.

It seems that a lot of the bad reviews are from people using the $ 10 groupon. I just went there for my $ 10 oil change today so let me explain how the situation works. You show up to get your oil change, the mechanic will ask you how many miles you have, pretty typical. If you have over 100,000, they will recommend high milage oil, it’s $ 10 more expensive and probably worth it. He will write the ticket up at the original $ 29 (basic) or $ 39 (high milage). You’ll apply your $ 10 groupon at the office next door when you pay. They’re not trying to be shady, this is just how they do it.
Once they are in the process of changing your oil, one of the mechanics will come out an offer to fix any other problems they see… usually your air filter ($ 29). Yes, they are trying to get more business from you. Just like when a restaurant offer $ 1 tacos and their margaritas are $ 15 each. It’s bait to get you in and spend money. This shouldn’t be a surprise to you. Welcome to America.
When they come back to push the sale of your new air filter you can say, «Yes! I would love a new air filter, thank you.» Or, «No thanks, I have an expensive weed habit and it’s almost the first of the month.» Either way, you are in control of your own destiny. Just be yourself.
The employees seemed cool, was in and out in an hour. Hope this helps.

These guys are awesome! So helpful and actually really straight forward. Not too often you find a straight shooter mechanic shop.
We were getting ready to drive from San Diego to Seattle and Chris quoted us a really great price for ALOT of work. They worked with us on prices and made it a really great experience.

This place is AMAZING. I JUST left here with my 2000 oldsmobile, and it feels like a new car. Im a woman, so most car places will tell me i need somethibg done, not show me, and not explain it to me. These guys showed me exactly what i needed done, AND explained it and answered all of my dumb questions without hesitation. Not only that, but we can get my husbands 2007 v10 audi done here. Most places dont work on german cars, but these guys do! Chris, aka the manager of the garage, is freaking amazing. He helped me out so much, and i will 100% be coming back here becaue of him. I recommend this place, to anyone and everyone, and specifically chris. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job on my car guys! I will be back!!!
Ps: the will fix anything, and everything, including windshields!!! Amazing people, amazing atmosphere, and everyone was just such a pleasure. You can tell these guys LOVE their jobs, and love what they do.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I bought a $ 10 Groupon for an oil change. I have used a Groupon here in the past with my older car and had an OK experience. They do charge an extra $ 7 for the disposal fee + tax which is not included in the Groupon. That seemed a little shady to me but I decided to go back with my new car because it’s still a pretty cheap oil change.
I made an appointment and took my car in. The mechanic was very pushy and kept telling me I needed to spend an additional $ 70 for a special oil. I was confused and told him I haven’t had to use any special oil with this car before but he wouldn’t explain it to me and he finally said, «Well it’s your car so you can do what you want.» I said, «Ok then I just want the basic oil change that’s covered with this Groupon.» But he then kept insisting I spend another $ 39 dollars plus disposal fee. As he kept talking, the amount I would owe in addition to the Groupon kept increasing! I was getting more and more confused and frustrated. Then his phone rang and he remained on the phone with someone laughing and cussing for the next 5 minutes. I got fed up so I went into the office and asked for a refund of my Groupon and they informed me that I need to contact Groupon for my money back.
That mechanic was so sketchy and rude! I felt like he was definitely trying to take advantage of a customer. And making me wait while he chatted on the phone with his buddy?!! What the hell??! I already complained to Groupon and am sure I’m not the first person to do so. Do yourself a favor and avoid this «$ 10» nightmare!

Asked for a card with name of gentleman that was so non helpful, he could not even do that correct. After breaking my door lock and refusing to fix it with out payment.
I had a car alarm installed. I don’t use my back door all that often so I did not realize it was no longer locking after alarm was installed. So I have an alarm but my back door does not lock, huh… this makes no sense? So I took the car to the VW dealer in southbay where I was told I should bring it back to the company that originally installed the alarm this one as it has been less the 90days. I did and was told they were not at fault. How they are not I have no clue. I know my door locked before the alarm I know it does not now. I would not waste your time or money with this extremely unreliable place of business. They will end up costing you more in the long run

I came here to get my windows tinted on President’s Day and came here right at the time they opened without an appointment and was able to get it done within a couple hours. I chose the lifetime guarantee with the 15% tint on the back 5 windows and it cost about $ 145. They did an excellent job!

This place is awesome! I got my window tint here and had a couple issues I came back and they never said a word about it. They fixed the problem immediately. Now it’s perfect. I’m going to do my stereo and my other cars tint there because every time I have an issue these guys don’t complain like most businesses or blame it on me.
They take responsibility and take care of the problem like it should be. Im thoroughly impressed considering the places I’ve reviewed so far. I definitely will keep coming back and suggest you bring your business here for window tint and stereo.
