A great little neighborhood liquor store with a large variety domestic, foreign and local beer. I love that they have Not Your Father’s Root Beer in the cold case. They also have your basic snack foods like candies and chips. If you run out of milk, pop on down and grab some.

they are not dog friendly and just not friendly at all. I don’t trust anybody that doesn’t like dogs. I didn’t stop in to shop– I stopped in for 20 seconds to buy a bag of ice. in and out– and they told me to get out. me and my pooch never have that problem at Jimbos!

In my experience, this little local business is a gem in our neighborhood. The owners and employees are friendly, helpful, and caring. Excellent wine selection at reasonable prices. Good selection of basics(milk, cheese, pasta sauce, snacks, sweets, etc.) — the stuff you forget at the supermarket … or have a craving for midweek. I hope these lovely shop-owners stay with us for a long, long time.

You can read my other reviews. I am very fair. This liquor store is in business because they are the only local option and that’s it. Today was Saturday and I wanted to have some drinks with my friends; period. My hope was to get intoxicated. I am well over 21 years old, live right next door, and wasn’t driving. I had three vodka Red Bulls watching the game and then went to RJs to get a couple of tall cans to continue enjoying my Saturday. I was denied the purchase because I «smelled like alcohol.» No shit guy; that’s the whole deal. I caused no scene, spoke to no one, showed my ID before I was prompted and, like I said, was neither driving nor overly intoxicated(3 drinks I’m serious). How embarrassing; they ruined my Saturday. I will, FOREVER, drive with a greater than .08 alcohol level to Vons before I go into RJs and give them a dollar of my money. Everyone will still go there because it is the only place in town but I never will. What rude people. I’ve watched these guys sell to obviously drunk tweekers and they denied me two tall cans on a Saturday when I literally did nothing wrong. They will never get one more dollar of my money… I’m so hammered that I don’t need spell or grammar check!!!

R J is a solid little neighborhood liquor store. They have a bunch of decent bottles of wine and a fantastic beer selection, including a great variety of craft brews. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The prices are definitely reasonable… I think I paid around $ 8 for a six pack of Bear Republic Red Rocket. Yay, I’m definitely a fan!

RJ is a great neighborhood liquor store. Their beer selection will satisfy most, leaving the nerdiest of beer nerds wanting more obscure bottles to choose from. Beer nerd heaven in a liquor store is a place like Clem’s in Kensington. RJ’s got all of the big national bottles, some of the more prolific local offerings on and delves a bit into the craft beer. On the wine side, they’ve got everyday to special occasion stuff. If you buy six bottles, there’s a discount. Cold boxes cover pretty all of three of the the four walls of the store. The counter guy was nice. There’s a dollar fee for getting cash back.
