This is a «true» FLOP House Hotel. Filthy, full of bed bugs, roaches, rats broken plumbing tenants that defaecate in the shower. Theft. loud out of control drunken behavior is exhibited by all staff and owner. Sobriety is not a requirement to work here. Staff puts the main phone on mute so guests cannot receive calls or call front desk for an emergency. Staff dumps guests belongings in the trash or steals items. Police and paramedics here daily. Noël Manager is fat and suicidal viciously cruel drunk daily. Guests are found dead in their rooms after weeks of ignoring them. No elevator steep stairs. Oven for cooking is filthy full of roaches. Microwave filthy and broken. Prostitutes work as maids in men’s rooms.

At least there’s no bedbugs! Rooms are decent sized, some are bigger and much more liveable. The size of the room you end up with depends on luck of the draw and availability. I felt safe there, when I was there before. I’d use them again for. sure, in. the future. It’s safe because Management keeps a watchful eye on who comes and goes. This place is. a winner overall. Nice big tv’s with free cable tv with CLEARRECEPTION and a desk and a large sink area in each. room that you can actually utilize for coffee making and dishes etc. The hallways and bathrooms and showers are kept VERY clean. Plenty.of.hot water. You can cook or microwave downstairs or do coin operated laundry. I love the smell of the rooms here. I think it’s the blue hotel looking blanket they put. on every bed. I find the smell is refreshing. By the way, it Helps if you have your own vacuum. Enjoy folks.

Rooms are Infested with cockroaches, dirty and worn out. It’s true all one needs to do is show an ID and your in, the staff is fine. There is restaurant right next door and a liquor store complete with a deli. Location is right across the street from the Social Security office. Use only in a emergency…

If you’re ever in need of a short-term lodging situation in a decent locale, the Reiss Hotel might be for you. A $ 50 deposit and a copy of your ID gets you into an outdated room complete with your own mini-fridge, bed, dresser, nightstand, and handsink. The bathrooms/showers are shared among your floormates but for the price of $ 160/week just south of Little Italy, I feel it’s competitive. The tenants(other than myself) appear to be transients living off disability checks, but it’s mostly quiet. There’s a convenient store across the street for liquor and simple foodstuffs as well as a 7 – 112 blocks away. Management is competent and friendly.
