Richard J Mercado, DMD

Dr. Mercado is the most ethical and professional dentist I have had. He is upfront about pros and cons of each treatment option and does not try to market you every time you sit in his chair. We need more doctors like Richard Mercado. Keep it up!

Dr. Mercado is the best dentist I’ve ever had. First time I went I was really afraid… past dental trauma haunted me… he was gentle and reassuring and soon made me feel very comfortable. He understood my fear and guided me through it. That was more than 15 years ago, and I’ve been his loyal patient ever since. I’ve had a lot of work done over the years and have never been afraid. He has been honest and kind in his evaluations and has never let me down. I have no reservations in giving Dr. Mercado and his entire staff the highest ratings and recommendations!

I do not recommend going here. Dr Mercado claimed I had 5 cavities that he wanted to fill. I let him fill two of them, three months later one of the fillins was still hurting and sensitive to cold. Just went to get a second opinion. After looking at the x-​rays, my new dentist saw only one tooth to keep an eye on. So much for those other three cavities Mercado claimed I had. Horrible bedside manner and did not seem confident in anything he said. I’d avoid going here.

Dr. Mercado is pretty much the best dentist I have ever had. I had skipped going to the dentist for a very long stretch of time when I happened into his office. Needless to say, my mouth was a mess. He did all that he could to get me back into proper working order. I have been going for about 15 years or so.
He will never do any work until he has been assured that you can’t feel what is going on. Super gentle, never a slip. Talks in a nice soothing voice which helps to relax the mood.
They make sure to work in all of their stuff within the parameters of my insurance.
I can’t say enough good things about him. I have recommended him to anyone that will listen. Many of my co-​workers have followed my advice and love him as well. Some are driving over 45 minutes to partake in his services.
Everyone in the office is great. You really can’t go wrong.

I’ve been going to Dr. Mercado for over 5 years, and with each visit I leave feeling like he and his team are really looking out for my best interests (not just getting the job done) — something that’s hard to find! I really like the fact that he explains everything he’s doing, why, and backs it up with live camera shots, digital x-​rays, etc.
Recently went in for a crown replacement, which used to take at least two visits, but was in and out in just over 2 hours, they made it right there on the spot — no pain, no issues, just back to life — now if only I could remember to floss more :-)
