Rick & Rick Jr. as well as everyone else at Rick’s RB Auto Center are Awesome! They always works with us and helps us get great deals. My girlfriend has been using this shop for the last 10 years and has had nothing but good experiences, so I decided to give him a try. He gave me a great deal, quality work, and even threw in a Free Oil Change! From now on, I’m sticking with Rick’s, and I highly recommend them as honest, reliable, mechanics. Thank you Rick and all the amazing guys that work at Rick’s RB Auto Center. I have a place I know I can trust and feel good about when I need work on my car, it gets done promptly, and I’m treated like a friend.

He is horrible we have had so many problems with this guy he is a scrub all he is scrub he breaks the parts we buy for him he in the 15 years of working on cars i have never seen incompetent mechanic.

I have been handling the maintenance on my 65 Mustang GT myself for years, which explains why i trashed the block! I refused to take it to a local shop as none mentioned experience working with classic cars. As i drive home past Rick’s i saw him parking his Camaro one day, and heard that amazing engine. I figured if Rick’s classic cars are that sweet, i could trust them with my baby.
The guys at Rick’s quickly diagnosed the problem (low oil pressure hosed the block) and talked me through all the options. As the tired old 289 was barely pumping out 200 horses we decided to replace it with a crate 302. The guys helped me determine every part that would be needed for the swap and did an amazing job getting the new motor installed.
What really sets them apart is the fact that every day when i dropped by with a million questions they talked me through each, and helped me choose a combination of other upgrades, such as a sport shifter, gauge cluster, carburetor, exhaust and tail lights. I am sure they were annoyed with me, yet always took the time to talk out my concerns and help me finish building my dram car.
I am still breaking in the motor, and every time i hear a squeek or rattle, or see a guage flutter, i swing by and the guys talk me down off the ledge. These guys LOVE cars, and they treated my car like it was their own. That is why i will be a customer for life.

We have always known of your great reputation in our zip code, but never had a need as of yet to avail ourselves of your services until now! I work near Rick’s shop and had to get my car towed there during my lunch break for an emergency broken radiator. He told me exactly what was wrong and had my car finished within the following day which was awesome. Since that first time I’ve been back to his shop for various other car problems, and he has always shown me exactly what was wrong, given his honest opinion on the damages and repair quotes, and always gives me a good deal price-​wise. I bring my car in on my lunch break, and it’s done by the time I have to drive home, so convenient for a work schedule. Overall I love this shop and the service, definitely recommend to everyone!

Rick and his crew are awesome. Never tried to up sell me on anything I didn’t need and hooked it up with what I did need. Super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this place. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust but here that’s no problem. Ricks the man!

I visited another shop before this one. I decided to try Ricks since the other shop before them recommended many repairs. Rick and his team were very professional and friendly.
Rick advised me of the repairs that needed to be done and which of those repairs were not an emergency (without pressuring me to do repairs with him). Found this experience very helpful and professional. From now on my cars are being serviced by Ricks !

I got a smog test for my vehicles here. The service was friendly and professional. They gave me a discount since they were unable to do the smog check in the morning. I came back in the afternoon and the gave me $ 10 off each car. The wait time was short. I would come back here for further car service in the future.

Really like this place. My van was pretty horrible (dirty, falling apart literally), but they didn’t make me feel judged. Wonderful, friendly mechanics. My repairs came with a warranty, which they’ve honored twice – no hassles, no extra charges.

Once again, I took my car to Rick for car maintenence. Rick showed me and explained to me what needed to be done along with the cost for his service. He and his team were very informative and professional throughout the whole process. My car was fixed at a reasonable price and is running great again!

My hero today is Rick’s Auto at Shell. My car died at the middle school with 30 minutes to get a jump and get a new battery in before I had to pick up my daughter at her school. They had me out the door in 15 minutes. Thank you so much!

I have used Rick’s RB Auto Center twice and been very happy.
The first time to fix the actuator in my power window, and Rick gave me an estimate, turned out he didn’t have the part, had to go get it from Ford, and it was still the same price as the estimate which was still cheaper than the other window I had done at Ford.
And they also serviced my AC.
Friendly folks, you can tell they get a lot of repeat business, which to me speaks volumes.
And I can drop my car off and walk home which is a big bonus.

I was really happy with they brake job they did for my Mazda CX 5. They offer an 18 month warranty which is something other places didn’t offer — plus the service was friendly. We’ll be back

He is a pig, he was undressing my wife with his eyes cause she was asking to check her prius tire pressure. Very unprofessional.

Rick’s Auto Center is wonderful. My husband has taken both of our cars in to get news brakes, rotors and belts. We also get our cars smog checked as well.
Rick and Rick Jr. have fair pricing and are super reasonable. My father recently took in his car as well to get brakes, rotors and more work that was unexpected. Rick actually took video of the issue and sent it to my dad. My father really appreciated this and was also super pleased with the work done.
We will definitely continue to use Rick for all of our auto needs.

When looking for an auto mechanic, you just wanna know the guy is honest. That’s what you get with Rick and his staff. I found him over 10 years ago, and as evidenced by how busy they always are, I’m not the only repeat customers. People will return to a place where they’re treated fairly and honestly.
On a couple occasions, he’s mentioned things to keep an eye on, but that he does NOT feel need to be done now. We all know mechanics who will find a laundry list of things that supposedly need to be done ASAP, but you don’t have to worry about that at Rick’s. There’s even a Starbuck’s in the shopping center across the street, so there’s a comfortable place to wait for short repairs. For quality work and peace of mind, don’t hesitate to use Rick’s.

One of my brake light was not turning on and I called Rick’s to see if I could get it replaced during lunch. I called and told them the problem and asked if it was a quick in-​n-​out job. The person said that I would need to drop the car off for 2 – 3 hours for a diagnostic job that would cost me $ 150 which would be rolled over to my repair depending on the issue.
I am not very handy with cars but I’ve had a few auto repairs and this one didn’t seem like that big of an issue so I said no thanks. Later, my buddy who was more handy with cars checked my bulb for me and replaced it in 2 mins.
I obviously don’t expect everyone to have a handy friend and I understand there might have been other potential issues, but I feel like the honest thing would be to tell me that it could be a job that takes 5 mins or something that could take longer.

Rick is relaxed, honest, and direct. He’s also a very busy guy with lots if repeat customers so he doesn’t need to cut corners. If you’re a fan of fair prices and honest dealings this is the place you’ve been looking for.
My husband and I had driven from Berkeley to San Diego for a wedding and the required maintenance light came on. It was 9am Saturday morning and we needed to get to the wedding by 2. Freaked out, broke, and far from home thank god we found Ricks. Turned out we were due for our 30,000 mile service. He patiently explained it all to me with zero pressure. When I told him about our situation he promised to get it done in 2 hours and offered me a ride to and from our hotel. Plus he discounted our quote because we had done a recent oil change at a different location. To top it all off it’s a family business with his very courteous son Rick jr. working the counter along side his dad.
There aren’t enough businesses like Rick’s out there nowadays. Do us all a favor and support this one.
