Good food but a homeless hangout where there is a guy(who is there EVERY time that I go) asking for money in the drive thru right next to where you pay. AWKWARD!

Always get the bacon egg burrito, it never disappoints. only reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because of the damn drive thru lady. the one that looks like a man, she always has a freaking attitude. she either needs to get checked by management or get fired… I hope the taco shop reads this so they can fix the problem. they will lose customers if that lady continues to have that bitchass attitude

This is the 2nd and last time I’ll be disappointed by this place. Last time, my rolled tacos were stale. This time, my carnitas burrito was full of chunks of fat. Gross. If I’m going to pay $ 6.75 for a burrito, it shouldn’t be 1⁄3 of fat.

How the hell is the extra amount of tortilla bigger than my actual burrito. Not even mentioning that I paid $ 6 bucks for a burrito as skinny as my Mexican squirt. ELTIOALBERTOSALLTHEWAY!

The Carne asada fries were GREAT, and the fish tacos were okay. Place smells really good and food was done quickly.

The service is horrible and I pay extra money to a third party delivery service just to avoid the lady with the short hair(salsa nazi). The mgmt is non existent and damnit, if the food(salsa) wasn’t so good, I would quit this place so quick.

Love coming here for their breakfast burrito eggs, bacon, cheese and potatoes. The burrito is nearly as big as your forearm for under $ 10. Definitely shareable. Parking lot is on the smaller side. I usually park on the the street to get in and out quicker

Their potato rolled tacos are gluten-free vegetarian carbohydrate heaven. Seriously the best in all of San Diego, I’ve never ordered anything else cause I love them so much! Be pushy about how much hot sauce you want though, they can occasionally be stingy!

As a resident of Los Angeles I was looking for a good taco spot in the area after visiting the San Diego zoo, we decided to stop at this drive thru place feeling skeptical, but to our surprise the carne asada chips, tacos, and taquitos plate was delicious! Will definitely come back for the carne asada chips the next time we visit the zoo

Hands down the worst burrito I’ve ever had! Only way it could have been worse is if they spit in it and who knows they may have. I’m pretty sure they gave me a left over burrito that was made hours earlier. Who does that? The burrito was cold and mostly tortilla which was hard like leather. I would have said something to them if I hadn’t driven home already. Don’t let this happen to you.

This place sucks I went to order a Cali burrito with chicken instead and the lady couldn’t understand my order several times and I kept answering her question with yes Cali burrito with chicken… she wanted to charge me 2 $ for switching from carne to pollo… I know hella taco spots around town that will double wrap with no extra charge. talk about shitty customer service

One of my favorite taco shops! Some of our favorites(husband and I) are the California burrito, the rolled tacos, bean and cheese burrito and chimichangas. The portions are big and the price is reasonable. One of the reasons why we come here is also because of the salsa! Only down fall is when the older lady with the short hair works. She doesn’t listen at all. You can say can i have shredded beef burrito and she will say do you chicken. What no?!? She does all the time, she doesn’t pay attention at all! She is kind of a mess and super rude. Other then the grumpy lady who can’t get the order right… this is my favorite taco shop in Normal Heights.

Had my regular carnitas craving and tried a different local spot. Much like all fast food joints on El Cajon, there was quite a drive-thru line. Service was curt but fast, and the seemingly broken intercom produced a garbled semi-intelligible voice. My late night craving was partially satisfied with a burrito. The meat should have been juicier and was too salty. Will I come back for some more late night munchies? Only if the drive-thru line at Taco Bell is too long.

SUPERB. I had a craving for Carne Asada Fries and wanted to try a place I’ve never tried before. I am so Impressed with this place. The portion size was fabulous. the combination of French fries with the Guacamole, pico de gallo, Queso Cotija & carne Asada was Phenomenal. I do have to warn the carne Asada was a tad salty, could be in large part to how long the meat is left in the marinade, but all in all, it does not ruin the dish. I was shocked that Queso Cotija was used as their cheese topping, a lot of places around here use shredded cheese which I personally don’t like, so A+++ on Authenticity. These carne Asada fries including tax will run you close to $ 7.00. Well worth it. Take a chance on this place, you will not regret it.

I was in a bad place one afternoon and was about to head to Taco Bell, but bumped into this place along the way. I quickly Unilocaled it and saw that they had some carne asada fries, so I knew that had already stole my business. This is mostly meant to be a drive through but there are a few benches outside this tiny, but quaint, little shop. I ordered carne asada fries and the order came out pretty quickly. I didn’t even have time to download and start one of my podcasts. They were pretty generous with the portions(this should not be eaten by just one person, and I didn’t, but I tried). On top of a bed of fries, there is guac, queso fresco, beef, and sour cream. The fries were crispy and pretty good actually. The queso fresco made the meal and kept me going. My two complaints would be that the meat was dry and the fries as a whole felt a tad bit dry too. More guac could’ve helped. In the end, it was pretty good and I had plenty for leftovers later. As my first experience with carne asada, I was happy.

Really good mexican food. Not open late like other taco shops in the area and no indoor seating. It’s great for takeout and really easy to get in and out of. The rolled tacos are really good.

Conveniently located close to home and work. I like their breakfast burritos, I always ask for NO yellow cheese on mine. I do like their plain rolled tacos, they are simple and that’s why I like them, they come with sour cream and cotija cheese. I always ask for extra salsas, my husband likes to drink them… Yep you read right, he drinks the salsa and I can’t blame him, they are pretty good(for a taco shop). A huge plus is that they don’t skimp on the salsas, if you ask for more they will happily give you more. Service is always good, they run the drive-thru very fast. 3.5 stars overall. I would like for them to update the intercom in the drive– thru because it’s hard to understand them with all that noise and they have the same problem hearing us.
