Robert’s Men’s Suits

I ordered a nice suit online… great quality, nice fabric, awesome charcoal color… The only problem was that the sizing was WAY off. After frantically looking for a reasonably priced tailor, I found Robert’s Men’s suits here on Unilocal.I drove from my apartment downtown, passing at least 3 other competent, but more expensive places that could’ve saved me time. I’m glad I didn’t stop at one of those.
Robert sized me in both the pants and suit jackets. I got two suit jackets shortened and made into a slimmer fit, and also pants shortened, hemmed, and slimmed for around $ 100. It was well worth looking good in both my old and my new suits the following week. Working in sales, I know appearance is everything… so thank you Robert for making my suits look good on me.

These guys are a class act. Gave awesome choices and recommendations to fit my body type. If you buy a suit you get it tailored right then and there and receive it about a week later. These guys are amazing. Had my suit ready to go by New Years Eve. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a suit that wont break the bank.
My only complaint is that they dont sell vests (suit separates) but I still give them 5 stars!

Well there were quite a few positive reviews, specifically about Isaac; so I thought I would give it a shot here for a new suit I needed for an interview. Everything was as advertised by the Unilocal community, Isaac was awesome, my suit was great, went in Saturday, ready by today (Sunday) if you go anywhere else but here; you really aren’t doing yourself a favor! I would give this business 10 Stars.

Today was my first time going to Robert’s Men’s Suits and I was met by a very professional, friendly, knowledge tailor and suit expert by the name of Isaac. Isaac helped me find the exact suit I was looking for and answered all my questions throughout the process. I was very impressed with his customer service along with the suits this store has to offer. I highly recommend buying a suit here and I also highly recommend Isaac to help you find and tailor a suit for you! 5 star service.

This spot has a large collection of suits and ties. The hemming on my pants was done in less than 15 minutes! Plus the staff is awesome. Thank you Robert!

Everyone is praising my suits. Already some of my friends asked me where to find this place. When I told them the price their jaw dropped. High quality suits, at a very modest price, shirts were great too. They also taylor it for free with your purchase. Very satisfied with the results. Everything you need for men’s formal dress except shoes you can find there. Robert the owner took care of me personally.

Best in the city. Isaac got me the slacks I needed to match my jacket tailored in under 2 hours for my dinner. I didn’t expect, and couldn’t have anticipated service like that. ⁶⁄₅ stars.

From the moment I walked in, I knew something was different. It’s just you and Isaac, (who is Tailor & Owner). The space is beautifully appointed, no gaudy décor, no flaunting of brands. Just essentials to get things done and make you feel at home. Which is also what you get from your time with him. He is super friendly, bright, and knows what you need before you even know it. It’s just so easy here. It just feels like stopping by a friend’s place for a chat and you’re on your way. definitely looking for my next visit.

As they say about service, «you get what you pay for.» In my case it even goes beyond that. My first time in Robert’s Tailor Shop was a few weeks ago because I needed a new suit. Julio waited on me and was great … extremely helpful, courteous and he found me a perfect suit. Cuff links on the pants were the only alterations needed. With the pants and my dress shoes on, Julio measured me for the exact length and cuff links. I paid for everything and was told to come back the next day, which I did. When my wife and I returned the next day, I tried on the altered pants along with my dress shoes to check the length. I was surprised to find that both pant legs were 2 or 3 inches short and one leg was even shorter than the other. Even Julio was surprised and he went to the back of the store to talk to the woman that did the alterations. She came out and measured me again and I was told that she would do them over again right now and to wait. When she returned, the length was good but no cuff links. She said she thought I didn’t want cuff links. Julio and I just looked at each other and almost started laughing, but it wasn’t funny. Now she can’t add cuff links because she cut off to much material. I was bummed but Julio came through and found another exact pair of pants and thankfully cuff links were added, the length was correct and I was happy. While all this was happening, my wife ask Julio if they could or would replace a sticking zipper she had on one of her dresses. He asked the seamstress and she said they would replace the zipper for $ 20 but my wife had to provide the new zipper. My wife agreed and went out to find a zipper. A 10″ navy blue invisible zipper was needed but the store was out of navy so she purchased a 10″ black invisible zipper instead. My wife said that the color didn’t really matter because when the dress is on, you can’t really see the invisible zipper. When my wife returned to Robert’s to give them the dress and the new black zipper, she was told that even though they took her cell phone number to call her when it was done, they wanted her to just come back in 2 or 3 days and it would be finished. She thought that was a bit strange, but she agreed.
When she returned to pick up the dress, she noticed that it still had a navy blue zipper and not the new black zipper she gave them. When asked why, she was told that they replaced it with a matching navy blue zipper they had in stock. She reminded them that they told her that they didn’t stock zippers and that she had to provide them with the replacement zipper. The seamstress was speechless. When my wife tested the replaced navy blue zipper that the seamstress claimed was brand new, she noticed that it still would get stuck in the same place as before. My wife then realized that I was being «had» so I asked to speak to Robert, the owner of the store. My wife told him the story, showed him the sticking zipper and he basically told her that my wife was wrong and the seamstress was right. Now that pissed my off. She told Robert, the owner, that she didn’t want the 20 dollars back that she was charged for labor, but she wanted the to return the $ 5 black zipper she provided and that they never installed.
Robert told her that she’s not getting anything back as he walked into his office and closed the door. What a guy.
The bottom line is that they might have inexpensive suits with free alterations, but the alteration side of the business really sucks. Although Julio treated us well and provided excellent service, we will never return to this establishment ever … ever again. IMO … Neither should you.

Not a bad suit for my son but when we came to pick it up (and I called ahead to ask the to have it ready and was told it they had it and would bring it to the front) they could not find it. Waited nearly one hour and missed an appointment. Without this glitch they would have gotten four stars.

Even though this is a Men’s Suit Shop… I still come here to get my pants hemmed Lol (They’re located close to my office) :)
The service here is Excellent, Fast and Friendly. On a few occasions, they have done next day service when I had an emergency and needed alterations done before a business trip.
Highly recommend to come here for your alteration needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Issac.
I bought a new suit at one of the big name department stores after losing some weight. They sent me to this shop for tailoring and that’s where I met issac. He listened to what I was looking for and suggested I go back and exchange my suit for a different size. Doing so saved me extra tailoring costs and made it look 1000% better. I enjoyed my experience so much I bought 2 more suits and had him tailor them too.
What I appreciated even more was his commitment to making sure I was 100% happy with the fit and look. I wanted a slimmer fitting suit since my weight loss and wasn’t sure how it would look. He ended up doing 3 fittings after it was all said and done because I didn’t like the way the change I asked for looked on me. Most shops probably would have been frustrated with me and charged me again because I got exactly what I asked for. Not Issac. He insisted on making sure I was comfortable. Not only that, he did the last alteration overnight to make sure I had my suit ready for Vegas with the fellas.
I’d recommend this man to anyone. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience and result. I have 3 new suits that fit me like they were made for me alone thanks to Issac. Don’t see anyone else.

I got hired at both of the banks I applied to and both of the branch managers complimented me on my tailored suit! I don’t want to give all of the credit to Robert’s Suits but I strongly feel it helped!
I had just happened to see this place while going to Phil’s BBQ. I was in the market for a new suit as I had a couple of interviews lined up. I checked out a few places before Robert’s Suits and all of the other places were horrible. The other places were too pushy with suits made for old dudes, and one place (Jos.A.Bank) had the snobbiest dudes working there, being both condescending and rude, as if my presence was destroying their hope of not doing anything at work. Not Robert’s Suits.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young gentleman. He was super friendly and super knowledgeable! I had an idea of what I wanted and even though I didn’t know any of the correct terminology, I did my best to explain what I was after and this guy knew exactly what I wanted! Told him the position I was interviewing for and he knew just the cut for the profession while keeping my age in mind. He set me up with something that perfectly defined the young professional look. He then explained every detail of a suit, way more than I could ever imagine, and gave me the reasons behind every detail! I told him I needed it a bit sooner than the standard time it takes to deliver a tailored suit and he made it happen for me!
Holy shit this guy rocks!
A few days later when I went to pick up the suit, he wanted me to make sure the fit was perfect before I walked out. Can you say accountability? And yes the suit looked/​felt great and gave me the confidence to stay cool through out the interviews! Nailed it!
I have had this suit for just about a year now, wear it once a week (amongst other suits I have bought from them) and it’s just as good as the day I bought it! Good job Guys!

5 stars will never be enough for this shop… best price, best service and the best people to handle your needs.
Roberto is a master in tayloring and his son Izac is no different. I could not be more satisfied.

I called them and asked if they could do an alteration on short notice. The fellow working waiting there at the store for me until I came in. he got me all sorted out and on my way in no time.

I went here a few weeks back to get some of my pants altered. I didn’t know what I was doing but just told the man what I wanted. The pants were done on time and with great care. I paid $ 10 per pants and they still fit perfectly! Will definitely return if I need more adjustments on other pants.

I showed up at Robert’s on a Wednesday, on Friday I needed to be on a flight to Atlanta for a funeral. Ernesto assured me the suit I chose would be ready Friday morning. I am a difficult size to find and was impressed by their selection. Robert came out and chalked the suit, plus a dress shirt I picked out that needed a slight adjustment at the collar. I left hoping that all would be ready as promised. I had shopped at other stores but they could not work within the timeframe I was in. Friday morning we showed up at 10, and everything was ready and perfect. I mentioned to Robert that I didn’t have an garment bag and asked him the best way to pack the suit. He brought out a garment bag left by a customer and told me to take it.
It’s not very often I’m impressed by customer service anymore, but Robert and Ernesto did it. I will be a customer for as long as they are open. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was a little apprehensive about coming here because I had a bad experience at the Men’s Fashion Depot (overpriced baggy suits). But as soon as I got here, Robert was very attentive and catered to me. He listened to everything I said, and found the right suit for me. I honestly never had a suit I liked until I got here. The price was also VERY reasonable. $ 215 after tax for a suit, dress shirt, dress pants, tie, and a vest, and not to mention Robert is also going to tailor it! Will definitely be coming here from now on.

Dateline: San Diego. I’m 24 hours due from appearing in a wedding, as the best man. I have just now picked out & purchased my suit from nearby and now need alterations to make sure it’s perfect. I’m handed a business card that leads me to Robert’s Tailor Shop. I explain that I need my pants hemmed and the sleeves taken down on my jacket. I also explain that I need them by 11AM the next day.
Without blinking an eye, the tailor said «You’re cutting it pretty close… but no problem. Can you be here by 10?» I pay for the alterations and I’m on my way, my fate now in his hands.
Fast forward to the following morning. I’ve already got my shirt & tie on. I arrive and the tailor is helping out a group of gents, fitting them for suits. He quickly turns to me and tells me my suit is ready. Once he finishes up with his customers, he runs to the back and gets my suit, asking if I need it bagged it. «Nah, it’s cool,» I say. «I’ll just get dressed here». He lets me duck into one of the dressing rooms so I can put on my pants & blazer. I check the quality of the work and it’s top-​notch. I come out, give myself a once-​over in the mirror, straighten my tie, heartily shake the tailor’s hand and get going to a photo shoot w/​the groomsmen.
In short, Robert’s Tailor Shop performs miracles. Don’t be like me and wait until the last minute… but if you do, this place has your back.
