I arrived to this Rubio’s location to go and pick up a takeout order that my coworker had placed. I have been to this location several times and have thoroughly enjoyed eating from this location as well as ordering for an entire office. This time however, I was very disappointed. I should add that in the past, this is not their first offense. First off, I go in pay for my food and proceed to wait. I am handed my food and inspect it to make sure everything was correct, but it was not. The Cali Bowl that I had ordered with grilled shrimp had BOTH the salsa verde as well as the roasted chipotle salsa. I let them know the mistake they’ve made and they fix it. I then see that they have made the correction and assume everything else was correct in the bowl because they had«re-done» the bowl. As I arrive to my office and sit at my desk I open my food and realize that not only is it not correct, it seems they maybe just scooped up the shrimp(around 5 measly shrimp) and hastily placed it with the other condiments in the bowl MISSING the guacamole. The bowl looked nothing at all like the picture placed on the website. Granted I know it won’t look EXACTLY like the picture but I hoped that it would at least resemble it in some way; it did not. This bowl was a poor and sad representation of what I had anticipated. Not wanting to go back because I only had certain amount of time left on my lunch, I proceed to eat what I can out of sheer hunger. I can’t say I will be going back to this location or rather any Rubio’s in the future. As a «Test Kitchen» I had anticipated quality ingredients as well as being able to rectify a mistake correctly. I do not think I will be back.

Ah, how I miss Rubio’s. Their fried fish tacos has a nice crispy, yet thin batter. Fish is never dry. Even though I’m not a shrimp fan, their grilled shrimp tacos are delish, especially the sauce in it(it has a little bit of kick)! I keep forgetting to ask for flour instead of corn tortillas each time. Their salsa bar is good — with even habanero options! This location has mango and strawberry lemonade. I still like the La Jolla location the best though. Until next time, Rubio’s!

This is a really nice Rubio’s, and is a Test Kitchen location. You get unusual items sometimes, as they try out the new combos and preview food.(What happened to Tortilla Soup, didn’t that make the cut?) The fish tacos are good, but my favorite is probably the bacon & cheese shrimp tacos. They’ve changed it so you can order the seafood any way you want, but the shrimp goes best with the bacon cheese, more so than Mahi(which is best as a bowl). I’ve never had a problem with any of my orders, most of which are to go. Just remember to get napkins and utensils if you need them, because they don’t give them to you automatically to conserve. This shopping center, due to the large amount of restaurants in it, can be a parking nightmare. Try to get there before 11:30, or after 1:00 to make it easier. There are some short-time parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but those fill up quickly.

Now serving fish taco especial for 2 bucks after 2:30 pm on Tuesdays. What a great deal! If you like seafood then Rubio’s does a good job preparing a good meal. I come here on Tuesdays for the fish taco deal but this time someone gave me a coupon for a free meal up to 10 dollars worth so i got the shrimp burrito meal that came with chips. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the burrito was delicious. I would like it if they had more variety for their salsa bars like pickled carrots or avocado salsa. If you haven’t had a fish taco then you need to come to Rubio’s for the experience. I only get fish tacos from here, i have tried other places and it doesn’t taste the same. Until the next Tuesday when i want my fish taco fix.

Fast service, clean, scrumptuous original fish tacos, and great customer service! Servers and cashiers were constantly checking the salsa bar refilling the condiments every 5 minutes or so. Love this location!

Went there for lunch last Friday as I wanted to have something that was not too big — but a good amount. Sadly next door did not have what I been craving to eat. I was feeling at a 5 to 6 on the scale of 1 – 10 on how hungry I was. Walking in, there was already a couple of people in front of me in line. Gave me enough time to glance over the décor and listen to the music. The fish tacos — if you never had them, were really good! Plus, right after I sat down, it came within 5 – 10 minutes. That was quick! The creamy original white sauce made all the difference when taking a bite of the taco. The combination of flavor was enough to make me go «Mmmm, I could totally eat this again.» Drinks were pretty simple — had a good selection to choose from. Would drop by again, quick and light!

You will never hear me complain when Rubio’s is provided to us for our free lunch on Saturdays. The fish tacos are excellent and the rice and beans are up to par. Great place to get food to go from, always well packaged and separated for easy transportation and reheating.

Rubios has really stepped their selection up a notch! I’ve started coming here much more often on my lunch breaks. I usually go for one of their salads, they all taste great! I get mine with the dressing on the side and Tilapia, if not the chicken or shrimp. The portion is a bit larger so if I’m going for a lighter lunch I take half home for dinner. They also started serving beer… How fun!

Rubio’s has the freshest food served within very reasonable time frames. Friendly staff greeted me at the door right as I walked in. Also very reasonable in price and very, very fresh!!! Don’t go to Taco Bell, or anywhere else, come here!!!

I like this location because it’s very clean, the staff is nice, the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing. I ordered a steak burrito and while it wasn’t as thick and juicy as Chipotle’s burritos(which is why I took away a star), it was still very filling and good tasting. I showed the manager the e-coupon for the tote bag and he honored it. My vegan friend has a vegan burrito, so it’s nice that they have this option for those animal friendly friends in our lives. I’ve come here a few times and will come back and try something else. I recommend this location and I’m glad I tried it because I was always hesitant before.

This is the best, fast-food, Mexican place around! I love that they have been recycling since way before it was popular — ever since they opened! I am also impressed that for years they have had healthy choices. You are always greeted when you come in to order. The counter people are friendly and helpful, and very attentive. They bus their tables quite regularly, which many fast-food places don’t.l The menu is more limited than some Mexican fast-food places, but what they do, they do very, very well. One of my favorites is their steak«street taco» plate. I like that they have three choices for salsas, and they keep the bar of accompaniments well-stocked. Certainly not a fine-dining experience, but they’re really good for what they are!

Every time I come here it’s always empty. But I gave this place such a high rating because on me day I walked in with my boyfriend and we were getting a small meal. Or at least I thought it was small and he ends up getting two whole meals for himself. All I wanted was a bag of chips since they have like the crunchiest chips around and that aren’t covered in grease and side of Guac. He ordered like 5 tacos and forgot to order my dang chips. The cashier was kind enough to throw some in there for me anyway :) she also gave us a heads up on what sauces were good and not so good. Excellent service.

Why? Why? WHY? WHYCANWENOTGET A RUBIO’s ONTHEEASTCOAST??? Was collected from the airport and immediately deposited here to get my fix. Seriously, not even a «let’s swing by home to drop off your luggage» or a, «it’s getting late, we can always go tomorrow.» Nope, no questions asked. Straight to Rubio’s for fish tacos. Fish tacos the way fish tacos were intended. There is nothing else to say… go forth and eat fish tacos. Oh, well one more thing… FORTHELOVEOFALLTHINGSHOLYOPEN A CHAININALEXANDRIA!!!

Came here for the first time today because everyone was craving some fish tacos. SETTING: Big parking lot. Tables inside and outside. Very bright and very clean. SERVICE: Everyone seemed friendly and service was great because i had a large order and they were able to split it for me. One of the guys also offered to watch my bags of food while i grabbed the hot sauces. They also did not forget to ask me if i needed napkins or utensils. FOOD: Fish Taco Especial $ 2.99 each These tacos were absolutely stuffed with cabbage and sauce to the point it was ripping the tortilla when trying to bite into it. It was actually pretty good but the fried fish had become soggy and not a crispy texture. It’s cool that they offer combos but i wish they had more variety then just beans and chips because i hate beans. The steak street tacos are $ 1.89 each but are super small. But the burritos sound pretty good, might try that next time.

I always get the fish tacos. After 230 on tues, they are 1.50. I also used to always get their lobster tacos, lobster burritos and shrimp tacos and douse them with salsa verde, lime and lemon. They have new items occasionally and I order them when they come out. This week they have these bowls and I tried it with shrimp bowl and it was just really good. I’m a repeat customer

Absolutely delicious! Chipotle and Qdoba move over, Moe’s need not apply, Rubio’s is friggin deeeeeelicoous! Came here with my fiancé for lunch. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly by a few people behind the counter. After looking over the regular and test kitchen menu I decided on the burrito especial with chicken, guac, rice and beans, salsa, and chipotle sauce. It was deeeeeelicious. Not too much, not too little. The right amount of everything. There was a salsa bar with lots of different options. They also served beer and sangria. All in all a great experience. I can’t wait to go back.
