The bowl was not 9.00 $ Great at all. Fruits are frozen. Coconut was like 70cents extra. Music was terrible. Got a mean brainfreeze as i reached the bottom and it was fruitless as i was typing this lol

I’d rate this a 4.5… for $ 3.99 on Wednesdays the Acai bowls are great! A little icy if you eat them right away but just wait a few minutes and they are very tasty.

I ordered the Razzledazzle smoothie. It had mixed berries, strawberries, and bananas. I got a 24oz for $ 5.99. It was pretty good, refreshing, and decently priced. I didn’t buy anything in the market because of the prices. The prices in this market are ridiculously expensive: $ 5.99 for a $ 2 Simply Fruit Punch juice? Not worth it. For placing it in a college area, the owners should cater to college student prices.

Do not recommend for acai bowls. They’re expensive($ 6.95– deals only on Wednesdays), and the fruit wasn’t fresh(blueberries were frozen). The acai was a brownish color and they charge extra for substitutions. The rest of the store is convenient for students, but is no different than the inside of any other convenience store or gas station.

Not a bad place. But if you’re looking for healthy juices/smoothies, this is not the place for you. It’s a juice bar, without natural ingredients and a lot of sugar. But, they do taste good. So if you are looking for taste, without the emphasis on Health, this is your place.

$ 3.99 acai bowl on Wednesdays is great. Had it a couple of times now, and it was just as good the second time as it was the first. Other than that, Samba has a pretty good selection of all the other things college students need: condoms, No-Doz, ping pong balls, and Hot Pockets.

Best açai bowls in town, the way is made in Brazil where is the ACai grow. made with pure Acia. is topped with fresh fruits and frozen blueberry and honey. And also they sell snacks some groceries and little bit of everything, It is so convenient to the students at SDSU. And you can order on line for delivery by ORDERUP. They deserved five stars.

Not impressed… At all. Living in San Diego you KNOW good acai bowls. This was just not one of them. I’m surprised about the good reviews that they have, but I also am assuming that everyone is from out of state and a new college student at SDSU. NONE of the fruit is fresh! It is totally frozen. The acai is basically frozen purée which they thaw out and then seconds after leaving it becomes straight liquid with frozen fruit chunks. I paid $ 8… Really really overpriced for the quality of the acai bowl. If I wanted overpriced I’d go to Little Italy and actually get a $ 12 dollar fresh acai bowl. Señor Mangoes and San Diego Blenders is right down the street, both only 5 dollars with fresh fruit all around. This place is not impressive.

Didn’t even know this place existed until we randomly passed by it today. Seemed like the typical college market, with an alright selection of chips, drinks, and snacks. The thing that caught my attention was their Wednesday special, an 16 oz acai bowl for $ 3.99. Service was fast, they accept card, and the bowl was decent for the price. It came with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, acai base with a good amount of honey. The blueberries were still pretty frozen, but good on this hot summer day nonetheless. 4 stars cause the cashiers didn’t smile. Once.

Great Acaí! I got a large bowl and it was plenty. The price was $ 8 and it was fair compared to other places I’ve tried, which are usually $ 10+ per bowl. I’d recommend this place to friends.

I’ve been coming to this place since the week it opened. Very friendly staff, amazing acai bowls and smoothies, and extremely convenient groceries amongst other items. I love this place and feel that anything less than 5 stars is unfair to the staff who put their heart into providing a good service to the SDSU community.

Came here because acai bowls are awesome. Have tried my fair share of places and this is definitely one of my favorites! Tried the sdsu bowl which I believe was with peanut butter and it was delicious. Will definitely be back for more(plus always nice to support the local businesses :))

I love this new little spot, located within walking distance to campus & most importantly right around the corner from my job. I look forward to my Wednesday’s. Not only does this place offer fantastic Acai bowls, smoothies & regular little groceries… They also have protein powders, supplements & even phone chargers. Sambas is definitely what our area needed. I am so glad that they came to our area & are so efficient, I always call in my order ahead of time & it’s always ready for pick up when I arrive. Keep up the good work.:)
