I was a virgin for this.
I was very nervous.
I had cancelled and re-​scheduled …
they are as good as it gets.
they joked with me (very humiliating to have colonoscopy)
they made me comfortable
they kept me informed (as much as I wanted to be)
they did the procedure incident free and pain free.
not one ounce of pain nor even a tickle when they were done.
very smooth
very clean.
very nice staff
next time, I will not be anywhere as nervous.

It is the worst facility in existence, doctors are great. But god the office manager Sonia and other front desk personnel are the worst, rude and so unprofessional. I am going to change my doctor just because of them good luck in this economy we have way more options to go for doctors and facilities.
Come to billing they are utterly slow and useless. They dont have online system or payment over phone through creditcard. They cannot seem to handle a simple case of double insurance and Sonia didn’t make it easy at all and because of so many misinformation and confusion it went to debt collection for freaking 71 dollar. Anyway higher up I am not the only one who said about rude staffs there are other people too, take care of your patient sayonara

I had to go recently for a procedure.
The Check-​In was fine, My appointment was right on time. My Endoscopy went great, the Pre OP Nurse (Eileen) /​Procedure Nurse (Evelyn) were fabulous. My doctors is not affiliated with the Endoscopy Center.
They called to check on me the day after my procedure to make sure I was doing ok.
I also got a nice Thank you note in the mail a few days later.

Outstanding service !!! From Check in to pre-​op to the procedure you receive ten star service !! The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel so very comfortable! Dr. Stipho is an absolutely wonderful doctor !! Excellent bedside manner so very pleasant you can tell she cares so very much about her patients

The staff at the front desk are utterly rude. I will change doctors before I ever come here again

I have been to this center several times and each experience has been excellent. Everyone is professional and informative. They run things extremely efficiently and are always working within the time they tell you when you get there.
All in all, I highly recommend a procedure here.

Had a colonoscopy done there… my first as a matter of fact. The location actually worked out well. It’s right off of Washington and 3^rd in a nice little pocket. Relatively light traffic and close to all the medical offices/​facilities/​hospitals in Hillcrest, which I’m not a fan of visiting and generally avoid like the plague. The building has it’s own parking, which of course they charge for, but if you get there early enough, it’s possible to find actual parking on the street.
Since they ‘put you out’ during the procedure, they repeatedly inform you of not driving. I was under the mistaken belief that I would be sedated but conscious and able to talk to the Dr. during it. This is not the case, which was fine with me. But think twice about driving yourself as they will NOT release you without having someone come and literally sign you out (I wish I had used Über as I originally planned, but I didn’t). They made this very clear and I felt somewhat like a captive :-(I did have a couple friends come and one drove my car, while the other followed to my home.
I know they are doing their jobs and there is no doubt their ultimate concern is their liability in allowing you to leave without doing the above. But I can’t blame them, as this Liberal society we all seem to be held captive in, forces this kind of life on everyone. You’ve been warned… this will happen to you as well ;-)
The facility is clean and well-​maintained and the physician who did this procedure was very pleasant and knows what he is doing so I was very pleased with that. That staff knows what they are doing as well and are insistent they do exactly what they say. Although it would go down a little easier with a ‘spoonful of sugar’ instead of a big, hefty woman threatening that you can re-​schedule for another time. Thinking I’d have to go through another 1 ½ days without eating, taking the prescription medication to void your system and following all of the pre-​procedures, re-​scheduling was truly an understood threat.
My recommendation… just suck it up, do what they say and get it done. You’re not there to take a ‘stand’, make a point or make friends. They would be receiving 5 stars, if they scheduled the nursing staff to a ‘diplomacy’ or ‘Mary Poppins’ seminar :-)

I had the «Pleasure» of having a colonoscopy done at this medical group today; and am very pleased with the entire process. Some points I really appreciated:
–Since endoscopy their specialty, they have a great scheduling flexibility between the various MDs treating patients. My main healthcare provider couldn’t book me until late March, but these folks got me in today which was critical, as my insurance payment coverage was only valid until December 31^st, 2014.
–VERY easy over the phone appointment made, which they then follow-​up with a mailing of forms explaining the procedure and «lovely» preparation phase.
–They have a patient web-​portal, where I can now access my procedure results, have FAQs answered, etc.
–Very efficient reception staff who checked me in immediately. They also gave me a voicemail phone reminder last week that all was confirmed /​a Go for today.
–My health insurance company was contacted and an authorization obtained BEFORE I even set foot in the clinic.
–Very professional & competent support staff in the pre-​OP area (e.g., taking BP, starting an IV, making sure I was comfortable, storing my personal effects, etc.).
–Procedure room nurse was wonderful, and knocked me out with an IV sedative quicker than I knew it.
–Attending physician, Dr. Stipho was great, and instilled TOTAL confidence that I’d made the right decision coming here. She was also fully prepared to take any tissue biopsies.
–As I awoke in Post-​OP I was blown away to have their report presented to me !! They even get a copy out to my primary healthcare provider by the end of today.

Here’s my experience with this office. First of all, the location is «questionable» — you’d never think there’s a medical center hidden in there. The parking is tiny AND you have to pay for it. $ 2 an hour. Which isn’t the worst part.
My mother was supposed to have a colonoscopy at 8:30am (it said it on the paper they gave her, black on white). We were there at 8:20. One of the nurses said she left a bunch of messages on the answering machine the night before letting her know the arrival time had changed to 7:45am. My mother lives in Vista and I live in San Diego, so when they were calling she was in San Diego with me and not in Vista so she never got any of the messages. The real question is why didn’t they call the CELL PHONE, not the home phone number and tried to reach her there?! (Hmmm)
The same nurse called her in to tell her «here’s the problem» and inform her she is going to have to wait an additional hour before she can be seen because she didn’t respond to the messages (she never received) and they already called other patients so now they have to «fit her in». My immediate thought was «Wow, this place is not very well organized at all». Now we were the ones paying the price because the staff of this place decided to change the arrival date at the last minute and didn’t do their best to reach her? I don’t think that is very fair at all. My mother was already starving, she didn’t have much sleep because of the meds she was supposed to take the night before and she also said she was feeling nauseous. So the fact they had to make her wait another hour made me extremely unhappy!
They said the procedure would take an hour and half max. Like I said we got there at 8:20 and the whole thing ended at 12pm.
The only reason I’m giving this place 3 star is because the Doctor was fantastic, a total sweetheart, very nice man. Other than that — this office was a horrible experience.

I want to give a big Unilocal-​out to all of the great people at San Diego Endoscopy! I just had an upper-​endoscopy, which in and of itself isn’t a nice thing to think about having done, but the nurses were wonderful, the environment was much more calm than being in a hospital, and the care was great. It seems casual, which was nice, because I was really nervous! But I didn’t need to be, they took really good care of me. And my GE Dr. Dubois was just great as always, so nice and confident and a real calming presence.
