San Diego Hot Spring Spas

After tons of research and reviews, we decided a few extra bucks for a Hot Spring hot tub might be the best value. WOW. Did we ever make the right call. Not only is our Relay hot tub beautiful, but just like other reviews say, the people in the San Diego office are as awesome as the product they rep!
This is one of those times where you REALLY want to spend a little more. These hot tubs are so well made that problems are likely very rare. I’ll keep you posted on that! But, here’s the point. Hughsten, Scott, and the crew simply won’t allow unsatisfied customers. These folks will do what’s needed to make you happy you went with Hot Spring. — A very happy tubber.

1^st time spa owner. Traveled San Diego county shopping for a spa that would be beneficial to our special needs daughter. But of course the last store we shopped at was Hot Springs Spa 2.3 miles from my home. Debbie was awesome., no stress, very informative & helpful. Best price & beautiful spas. Ordering & delivery was uneventful. On installation I had a small wiring problem, not with the spa but with the wiring coming from the house breaker. I called and talked with Scott, I took a picture and sent it to him. He immediately recognized the problem, and walked me through the process, he was very informative, quick and efficient. Once the wire was reconnected every thing fell into place. With this type of service I would highly recommend Hot Springs Spa. With people like Debbie & Scott it makes it less stressful & more enjoyable to be a 1^st time spa owner. Thanks again Debbie & Scott.

ok we purchased the hot tub three weeks ago, Debbie or Debra the salesperson said it would be three weeks till delivery… ok three weeks now and not a peep from them. Very eager for us to sign and pay tho hopefully we hear soon and I can update the experience.

We purchased the Hot Springs Sovereign spa from Hughsten and Deb and we absolutely LOVEEEEEE it. The service at this location was exceptional. They were so knowledgable and they even hold monthly water care classes for those additional questions you may have. My husband and I are so glad we took the dive and purchased one of these spas. Just go for it, you will not regret it! Definitely visit this location and take a peak at all their spas. Thank you for helping us purchase this wonderful spa!

We’ve had our hot tub almost a month now, and I have to say the whole experience so far has been superb! From the first day we walked into the store and Hughsten showed us around, the sales experience was zero pressure. We started looking months before our backyard redo even started. Hughsten told us to bring bathing suits so we could try out the spas, and our visit (which lasted more than an hour) was very informative and fun. We were able to try out the 5 different spas that are filled and ready to go in-​store. We felt a little odd at first getting into a hot tub in a store, but got over that initial feeling as soon as we stepped into the first hot tub. I am so glad we tried them, because each one was a bit different. We left that day sure we had found the right store, but with a bit of time before we were ready to purchase.
We went back in a second time to look again and get some measurements. Deb, the store manager, helped us out. She is also great, and put zero pressure on us. She gave us all the information we needed, and said to call her when we were ready to purchase. A couple of months later we went ahead and put down the deposit, still not sure how long until we would be ready (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, who knows!) Deb said it was no problem, just call about 3 weeks before we needed it.
We did that, and ordered our hot tub 3 weeks before installation. The whole process was smooth, from that step to the final installation. We required a crane to lift the spa from the street into our backyard, and it was easy and economical — don’t be afraid if you might need that! Following installation, Deb talked me through filling the spa and giving the initial chemical treatments over the phone, and we set up a time for one of their techs to come out and teach us how to take care of it. WE were in the hot tub within two days and have been loving it ever since!
SD Hot Springs also offers a monthly water care class, which I just attended. I highly recommend it, as keeping the spa water clean is so important. It’s pretty easy to do, and you get instructions form the tech who comes out, but it’s good to go to after you’ve had the spa running a couple of weeks so you can review all the information and ask any questions you might have. You also get a discount on stuff, like chemicals, you need to buy the day of the class.
One thing we didn’t get initially I would recommend is the cover lift. We thought, oh we don’t need that. Well, you need two people to really get that off without the lift, and it’s a bit heavy. So I went ahead and ordered that from Deb today, and should have it soon.
What do I like best about SD Hot Springs? 3 things: 1. Good prices. We feel we got a good price, and don’t feel like we were ripped off, at all. 2: No sales pressure. We never felt pressured to buy anything, not the spa, not the spa lift, not even accessories — there are some that Deb says — Yea, you don’t really need that. 3: Great product. OF course, we’ve only had our Hot Springs spa for about a month, but with everything I’ve researched online (and I do a LOT of research on things I buy) this is a great product that will last a long time. Made right here in San Diego County, I know it’s going to give us years of good service.

Bought my used hot springs spa back in 8 – 2015. Super easy to take care of. Have the same water as when we installed it back in August. Customer Service is awesome and the staff are always there to help. Highly recommended if your looking for a spa. Check them out. There prices are highly competitive too!

I have had I have had my Hot Springs for over 20 years and it works perfectly! I used my spot every single night I’m over 60 add helps me sleep.

The service at this (and the other) Hot Springs store is always amazing. I’m always greeted with a genuine smile and people who are willing to take their time making sure I get my questions answered (or making sure I get out of there fast, if I need it). I also get great tips from the people working there, whether it’s on how to best clean my hot tub or what to do to maintain the water between cleanings.
As for our tub, I love our Hot Spring spa – it’s the bomb. Seriously, it’s got the most powerful jets of almost any hot tub I’ve ever been in. The rare few that have been stronger are the huge, concrete tubs you find in nice complexes. We have the Vanguard, and it actually hits the pressure points – not quite as good as a foam roller, but not bad for a guy chilling in a hot tub!

In March I started looking for spas as a birthday present for my husband. We had been talking about it for 20 years and decided it was time to take the plunge :) I researched all of the different brands and decided on the Hot Springs brand because of it’s wonderful quality and reliability reviews over the years. I especially like the fact that they are custom made right here in Vista and if I ever need a part, I will be able to get it (in today’s world this is very hard to come by). I went to San Diego Hot Springs Spas in Clairemont based on their customer service reviews and I am very glad I did! I took my teenage kids in with me and met Hughsten and Debbie. I explained what we were looking for and they worked with me to find just the right hot tub for us that met our needs and worked with our budget. I went back to take another look before making the purchase and Scott was really helpful in addressing service questions and not even laughing when I took a video of the spa lights in action so I could show it to my husband :) I finally purchased the hot tub and Hughsten walked me through each step to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. We then had to run an electrical line and after getting several quotes, we ended up choosing the electrician recommended by the store. His name is Chris O’Coyne and he and his team were wonderful! They came out to run the electrical and completed it in less than a day — the job was completed efficiently, neatly and professionally! The hot tub arrived 3 and a half weeks later, and the delivery was very smooth with the hot tub placed exactly how we asked. Ben came out to the house on delivery day to bring the chemicals and even returned to go over water care with me the following week. I will be attending the water care class offered at the store as well. We could not be happier with our hot tub and especially our experience at San Diego Hot Springs Spa! This is a great place! I’ve had my spa for 6 years and use it almost every night. It’s great for a good nights sleep. Relaxing and makes my back and joints feel great! I hike and swim and using my hot tub gives me total relief of aches and pains.

OK. The spa had issues. They tried to fix, but there were additional issues that could not be corrected. These guys have replaced the spa with a newer one. They are stand up people. Things happen, it’s how you handle them. Jason, and Scott were very diligent making sure our problems were resolved. We’ll be firing up tis new one soon and hope all goes well.

Scott at SD Hot Springs really and truly hooked me up. I’m a first time spa owner and he made it as easy as possible for me. It’s a kick back place to go to and view their many options. I would recommend going down and talking to Scott to anyone that asks. Don’t hesitate just go talk to Scott you won’t regret it!

So it has been six months since we took delivery of our hot springs spa… and we are loving every second of it! Hughsten hooked us up from the beginning and didn’t steer us wrong. We sit in our spa at least five times a week and we are very thankful that we opted for the ace saltwater system. Hughsten told us we would enjoy the salt system and that we would have less maintenance. So far we have had very little to do other than sitting in it! I would recommend talking to hughsten before you make any decision on a spa!

SD Hot Spring Spas provided me EXCELLENT service! Ben showed up to my house on time and quickly determined what was wrong with my spa… plus provided helpful advice on improved management/​maintenance (e.g. needed to have more jets opened for better water circulation and less pump strain). Scott, the lead technician, was also extremely knowledgeable and quickly identified the replacements parts at a fair price.

My spa stopped heating, even though the jets were still working fine. I called San Diego Hot Spring Spas and spoke to Scott. He was very knowledgeable and even after trying what Scott suggested the spa was still not heating. I ended up waiting a week for an appointment. The technician who came to my house was Scott! He ended up replacing the pump. I had pre-​ordered some better filters and a cleaner which Scott brought with him, saving me the drive. Scott has years of experience in this field. He’s awesome and patient explaining what the best maintenance plan is for my spa. I really appreciated his professional advice. I’ll be visiting their store to buy some other products. I highly recommend this company :)

I live in Del Mar and was having some problems with my spa and went to Hot Spring Spas on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Scott was terrific, walked me through some issues and said if that didn’t work he would come out to the house and take care of the problem. Turned out I needed a new pump and he was truly outstanding in getting the spa back up and running like a gem! Scott and his colleague were extremely professional, cleaned the entire spa and didn’t waste any time resolving the problem.
I highly recommend them for your spa needs, Scott and his team are exceptional in customer service, a rare find today.

I met Deb at the recent San Diego Home Show on 8÷23÷15. I was only looking around at hot tubs but ended up getting their floor model, FreeFlow Monterey. It was a great deal and couldn’t pass it up. Wished we would have won the Chargers canopy raffle but, oh well. :)
Deb was very helpful with my questions and getting me set up for delivery. Scott came out this morning to show me what I need to do to keep the spa running good and he was very professional. Can’t wait to start enjoying my new spa.

We have had a lot of problems with our spa the service person we used was terrible. Customer service for this company has been incredible I can not say enough good things about them. Jason the owner is the best. They have been nothing but helpful. The spa is now working after being broken for two months,

So, we needed a new spa because our old one was over 20 years old and starting to nickle and dime me to death. We initially just started looking for an inexpensive one that would be easy to buy, get delivered and set up. We didn’t want to put a lot of time and effort into it. Then, after looking around a bit and realizing that these things are pretty expensive and all really different, we actually started to do some research.
Long story short, we went into Hot Springs and were very impressed with Eugene the salesman. He seemed like and honest and straight forward guy, he encouraged us to shop around and research and he was confident that we would choose his product. He gave us good information about spas and was extremely helpful. After quite a bit of research, we finally had it narrowed down to a contest between the Hot Springs and a Jacuzzi. They both let us do a wet test and they both started to bargain with earnest.
Finally, we chose the Hot Springs. 1) Their spa had one more seat than the comparably priced Jacuzzi. 2) They have a sweet ozone system so very little chlorine is needed. 3) They have interesting heating technology. 4) We really liked Eugene, he was a no pressure sales guy with a happy disposition. 5) He saved me $ 250 by telling me how I could easily get rid of my old spa and not have to pay a removal fee.
Hot Tubs are a service product and you will need to have them worked on over the course of their life. The final reason we went with the Hot Springs was that the repair company who worked on our old spa told us that if they had to chose between the two, they would go with the Hot Springs because of the their heating technology and the ease of getting their parts. That was good enough for us and we went for it.
It took about 4 weeks to get and it’s up and running in my yard. The delivery guys did a great job and we are pretty much stoked on it.
If you are looking to buy a Hot Tub, you have to hit these guys up. Great little local shop, nice people and a good product.
