I live in Chula Vista but ventured to downtown after giving them a call and they told me their great price to fix my cracked screen. They were super friendly. Dropped off my phone and was told it was gonna be an hour. When I went back I mentioned the Unilocal free screen protector and Cesar was super nice and hooked it up! I highly recommend anyone to visit SD cell repair. You won’t regret it!

They were my savior. After dropping my phone at Disneyland, I needed my screen replaced asap. I called several shops yo see how much labor to replace my screen would be and they were the cheapest! BUT cheap doesn’t mean that their inefficient. :)
Adam was really cool when we got there! Their service is quick and they did an excellent job of getting my new screen on my iPhone. I was really happy. We’re going to come back to have the conversion done.

This place is a scam. Read the most current Unilocal reviews. I am one who dropped off my phone for repairs about a month ago. Received a claim ticket and all of that and was told to come back in a week. When I returned the shop is completely cleaned out and closed. No sign about how to contact them and they are not answering phone and emails. I will be filing a police report for my stolen property this week.

The owner Cesar finally got involved and did end up replacing the ipod.

BUYER BEWARE! These are bad guys! Took an IPod 4^th Gen touch in to have the screen replaced. When we got it back the new screen didn’t fit, a few buttons would stick and all the photos has been erased! Took it back in to have them fix it again and try to restore the photos. They have had it now for 3 months! Each time we ask for the status they act like they can’t believe we haven’t gotten it back yet and oh, it’s at another store and each time they just give us another stall tactic. They can’t fix it and now we have to pursue legal with them because there is nothing else left to do.
I would find another repair store if I were you. It’s not worth it.

I got a cracked screen on an iPhone 4S replaced. Repair was fast and decently priced. I had to return as the vibration feature was not connected when I picked up the phone. This was quickly fixed in about 10 minutes. The screen has some strange pixilation issues right now (1 day after repair). If it is not resolved in a couple days I will take the phone back in as this should not be happening. Hopefully this will work itself out. Staff was friendly and professional.

Had to wait about an hour but the shopping center was near by so i busied my self and a few stores later the hour was up and it was ready. Cesar was so nice and attentive and the free screen protector deal with Unilocal wasn’t bad either! I definitely recommend this place.

This place seems like they are only good for a screen repair. So pretty much they have the phone repair techniques of a youtube video.
I took my phone here because it was having a charging problem, I was told it would take a week to fix because their main repair place was out of town. For the price of $ 45 I was willing to go a whole week without my phone. I didn’t want a new phone, nor did I want to pay the price that AT&T wanted.
3 WEEKS LATER I get my phone back. 3 weeks, is an incredibly long time to go without your phone, especially when you’re still paying the cell phone bill. I had to call multiple times to get my phone back, because they had shipped it out of town I couldn’t just go pick it up.
Now my phone charges again, but I get horrible signal. I have no service at work, in my apartment, etc. All places where I previously had perfectly fine service for the last year. I can only assume that they messed up my antenna while they were inside of my phone… so pretty much money down the drain.

I had my iPhone 4 fixed here. It’s decent inside, chill and low-​key. Unfortunately, when I requested to have my iPhone outer shell replaced with white from the traditional black, Adam didn’t hear me and ended up replacing my phone with the same black one. But when I expressed my disappointment, Adam was respectful and diplomatic. He offered to replace the shell with a white one AND threw in a free face. I’d say they’re pretty decent, well-​meaning, and affordable business.

So I’m out of town and the battery on my smart phone dies. Which actually makes me pretty helpless w/​o email, contacts, GPS, SMS, etc.
I looked all over DC: AT&T store, radio Shack, best Buy. No luck.
When I got home to SD I remembered Spartevan’s review of SR Cell Repair, gave a call, and they had the battery in stock. For under $ 10.00.
Woo hoo! I’m a fan. Chain stores don’t cut it. SDCR is the best.

Today was one of the greatest days in my epic war battling technology, financial responsibility, and corporate America bullshiz.

Couldn’t have done it without SD Cell Repair. Cesar and Adam were my fellow soldiers as we heroically annihilated Verizon and AT&T technicalities and worked around all the petty landmines so that I could switch over to Straight Talk service with a new ATT iPhone.
Yep. I did it and I can show you how too. Totally not an infomercial. I really will be cutting my cell phone bill in half and with some creative engineering from Cesar, he helped me set everything up and fixed a cracked ATT iPhone screen. He even bought my Verizon iPhone 4s from me for a fair price (more than what Gazelle offered), on spot and with cashola. I’m all for the quick and dirty deals!
Both guys were really helpful — the Unilocal deal is a steal ($ 19 for $ 25) and the screen protector Unilocal check in is legit. I’m all for keeping these guys around as long as Apple dominates the world — who’s with me?

I broke the screen on my Incredible 4G LTE. I purchased the screen/​digitizer part and took it to SD Cell Repair, where Cesar said he could do the repair for a $ 25 labor charge the same day. After two days and lots of excuses (the guy’s at lunch, we need a different tool), Cesar said my part wouldn’t work and I needed the screen/​digitizer + LCD. (This turned out to be untrue; a video of how to replace the screen only is on YouTube.)
I asked Cesar to return my phone and I’d decide what to do, but during the repair attempt, the tech broke my LCD and the phone didn’t work. Cesar said he’d order and pay for the part, since it was his mistake, and gave me a loaner phone. After three weeks of more excuses (China has holiday so we can’t get parts… they sent the wrong one… the shipment is late), the part was finally ordered on Ebay and my phone was repaired. After an argument, I paid an additional $ 35 ($ 60 total) toward the new part.
The next day, I returned because the lights at the bottom of the phone wouldn’t work, and the screen wouldn’t illuminate during calls (to type in my voicemail password or end a call). Cesar was out, but the tech said there was nothing he could do.
Three days later, the bottom edge of the screen separated from the phone, so I returned to SD Cell Repair and the technician applied more adhesive.
Three days later, while on vacation, the whole bottom corner of the screen came up and began to splinter and chip. I away for six days, so eventually the splintering led to another large crack.
I’ve returned to SD Cell Repair at least weekly for the last five weeks and have been given the runaround. The part still has not been ordered, and I’m told it’s unavailable through regular suppliers (and would need to be ordered on ebay or elsewhere). The tech has repeatedly apologized for what he admits is his error, but no one in the shop has authority to order parts or issue refunds, and Cesar is never in the shop when I’m told he will be — and my phone calls are not returned.

I dropped my iPhone 4 in water. After letting it sit in rice for 48 hours didn’t work, I took it to SD Cell Repair to see if they could revive it. They worked on it for 3 hours, and ultimately weren’t able to fix it. Cesar offered to send it to another repair person in LA, but I couldn’t survive without a phone for over a week. Turns out I’m eligible for a free 4S through AT&T’s insurance plan (usually a $ 199 deductible for a replacement phone), so it worked out fine. Even though they couldn’t fix my phone, they were very courteous, and didn’t charge me for their time.

This place is the best — knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and — best of all — reasonable.

Cesar and his staff were very polite. My Motorola ATRIX’s screen/​digitizer broke and his staff and him fixed my phone punctually and promptly. They repaired it quicker than they promised me. However, they lost one star because I was told they have my digitizer in stock on Tuesday but when I went in to get phone repaired on Tuesday, they told me the product was not in stock even after confirmation. However, today is Friday and they were able to fix it once they had the item in stock. Parking is also a pain. Bring coins for street parking.
The price they gave me is also fair. $ 65.00 for repair. I’ve been quoted much more expensive for my repair of my ATRIX ranging from $ 75.00 to $ 120.00. In addition, unlike other shops, Cesar was able to honor his $ 65.00 quote on the phone. He was able to also guarantee me that price with an e-​mail confirmation for $ 65.00. I dropped my iphone 4S and my screen shattered. I am extremely impressed by the amazing service at SD Cell Repair. They should start teaching classes on how to properly treat customers.
It was past seven. (they close at 6:30) and I saw someone inside the store. It was the manager Cesar, he invited me in and asked what he could do to help. I explained my dilemma and he said he was making himself a tea and asked if I would care for one. A hot Tazo tea free! Something that would have cost 3 dollars at Starbucks. Approximately a half hour later out I was out of there with my fixed phone in hand. Also a new case (ridiculously CHEAP) to hopefully avoid this fiasco again. Although to tell you the truth I wouldn’t mind coming here again and again. Maybe I will «drop my phone» just to talk to Cesar and his team.
Upon talking to Cesar i learned he is from Spain, his accent could be a bit hard to understand but I did not find this a problem. I dont have words to express my gratitude to SDCR and how incredibly awesome they were. THANK YOU!!!
