I walked into this place at 10:50pm tonight, Friday night. Their posted hours are until 11:00. The door was open and there were people inside. Before I could get to the counter the woman there said,“I’m sorry we just closed”. I looked at my watch and asked what time they closed? She replied 10:50. The web site and google all say 11:00. If they don’t want my business tonight, they will not get it ever again.

Their vegetarian fries were alright. Not a big wow. Over priced. Lazy employees.

OMG! I’ve had a decent shredded beef taco and carne asada burrito here, but I wouldn’t feed the nachos I got today to a desperately hungry dog! What Mexican cooks use cheese sauce for carne asada nachos? They went limp in a NY minute and had to shovel the pound of hot peppers off the top(guess they didn’t want to splurge for a decent salsa). Blech!

Good for a quick bite of mexican if you are in the area. Stopped here during my lunch break since nothing else seemed appatizing nearby and I needed something fast. California burrito was good but nothing special. The birds here are also pretty brave and will come up to your table. Lots of outdoor seating for those great San Diego days. Overall –Pros: Fast and convienent food court area, they give you free tortillas chips that you can feed the birds. –Cons: The area seems a little dead, no guacamole, you have to add it.

The woman who runs this place is extremely rude and unaccommodating. She is on her cell phone while she is taking your order. Last time I was there I had to wait for her to finish applying her brown lip liner and drawn on eyebrows before she would help me. She then picked up her cell phone and called someone and I gave my order while she had her phone to her ear.

This is the worst Mexican place I’ve ever been. Probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve been there 4 times after the movies. It’s in a great location, and we love Mexican, so we decided to try it. Every single time, I went home, and a few hours later when I was going to sleep, I started getting a terrible stomachache. I threw up like crazy every single time I’ve been. I’ve never had that happen at any other place. If you want to get sick, come here! Otherwise, go to El Cotixan, or, even better, Casa Guadalajara.

Not very good at all. Carne Asada meat is dry. Beans taste like they’re from a can. Only saving grace is the horchata. Avoid, especially since there are tons of great taco shops around the area.

Pretty good stuff at SPFMGE(can I buy another vowel?) for a place that’s wedged in the food court area by the movie theater fountain. PROs: Clean, spacious dining room, with outdoor patio tables, familiar combo plates and specials [ , and a self-serve agua frescas machine for those who like to sample the soft drink variety [ . There’s also a fresh and tasty salsa bar [ . This time I went with the mini tacos and tried to order a variety sampling of taco fillings, but the lady said they all had to be the same. Boo on that, so I decided on the carnitas [ . They didn’t skimp on the carnitas, which were fork tender and delicious. I could have done without the rolled tacos because they were meh and I got my fill from the mini tacos anyways. The rolled tacos were served up hot and crispy, but there wasn’t much meat in them and I would have been happier if they were topped with queso fresco or cotija cheese instead of the unmelty, sweaty, shredded cheese [ . CONs: No drive-thru, dissapointing rolled tacos, ho-hum salsa variety, and they’re relatively expensive in comparison to other places that have value price points for comparable or better quality. I’d return for the sake of convenience if I was in the area. There’s no other taco shops in the shopping center within walking distance and they’re at least worth trying out some other menu items until that perfect go-to dish is discovered.

The cheese enchiladas are amazing. The sauce is more salty then sweet. The steak nachos are excellent.

i am a regular at this place. but i only go here because the food is good and it’s cheap. the only reason why i’m knocking off 2 stars is because the lady who works at the cashier, for some reason, always gives me attitude. i walk in there with a smile and say hi to her all the time but she just looks at me and says«what can i get for you?» another time she made me wait at the cashier to talk on her cellphone! i never did anything to this girl, but yet it seems like she hates me!

Alright … so for some reason I keep coming to this place with my friends. And the other two times I came here, I had a better experience than before. I had a veggie burrito — which is basically the same as the nasty BRC I got here, except with vegetables in it. However, for some reason it tasted better than the BRC. Then, the last time I came(yesterday), I got a fish taco. It wasn’t bad. So, I just felt that I should update my facts. =]

WOW… I don’t think I’ve given a one star before. and if I could give 0 stars, I surely would… where to begin… My co-worker and I were STARVING and didn’t want to eat at our regular spots in the UTC area, so we wandered off to the Clairemont area thinking we would surely find a GREAT little spot. WRONG! 1st we walk in and the young girl at the counter completely ignores us because her and her boyfriend are playing with a cell phone, we stand and stare for about a minute before the boyfriend says«Oh…let me move out of the way for you»(he was nice enough) but she just looked at us and rudely took our orders… wow! FOOD– My rolled tacos were horrible! 5 rolled tacos… ground beef in rolled tacos…1st mistake, 2nd– they were not fried to a crisp, they were soggy. and I ate them there, so it’s not like I took them home to give them time to get soggy. 3rd– the salsas have NOFLAVORWHATSOEVER!!! They are watered down and just gross… so sad. My co-worker ordered a California burrito– on a scale of 1 to 5, he gives it a 0.5…ya…that bad. it had no flavor. lots of potatos and sour cream. minimal meat. WTH??? I would say to avoid this place and the service at all costs! BTW.I JUST got back to my office about 8 minutes ago from this place and I couldn’t wait to Unilocal it… so annoyed! 4.5 rolled tacos are currently in the trash can there. so, so DISAPPOINTED!

Señor Pancho, you do not disappoint. I tried your Pollo Asado Chipotle burrito today, which was posted on the big banner next to the cashier. Mmmmmm… pollo asado, beans, rice, and a «deliciously spicy» chipotle sauce. Tasty. Most other types of Pollo Asado Burritos, one has to season it with various salsas from the salsa bar, but this one comes with that«deliciously spicy» sauce. and spicy it is. and thanks for making it without sour cream as requested. and it was a good sized burrito — a whole meal, for $ 3.75 + tax. Not the hugest selection of stuff to put into burritos and tostadas and tortas — for instance, this place does not serve carnitas. Hmm… but it does have different soups, including Siete Mares, and also has a selection of breakfast burritos and some types of kids meal. Indoor and outdoor seating, a salsa bar with 4 types of sauce, plus carrots. plus aguas frescas as well as sodas and bottle beers/sangrias. American Express not accepted here. Public restrooms are located between the Starbucks and the Italian place.

In one word. Decent. I got the 3 mini adobada tacos and they were pretty big. Double corn tortillas topped with plenty of meat and guacamole. They were $ 4.25. Nowhere near as good as the bomb ass taco trucks in SD, but not a bad choice if you need to get something to eat around the movie theater. And… thats about it.

I went to Señor Pancho’s tonight prior to going to a movie at Pacific Theaters in the same area.(I saw Feast of Love, a real tear jerker) I had the carne asada burrito. I bought my ticket for the 7:45 pm show prior to walking over to Pancho’s. I bought the ticket at 7:30. 15 minutes to purchase a carne asade and eat it? Is that possible? You bet it is at Panchos, and if you are a pig like me, you too can make it happen. It helps if you are a total loner so you don’t disgust anyone you know by eating so quickly. The servers were nice, I did not feel like a freak eating alone. Some restaurants I kind of get a weird feeling if I am eating alone, this one felt ok. I think it was the fact that there were other single diners eating there as well. I got my carne asada at 7:35. It was very good. The tortilla was fresh and warm. The meat was very warm too. No beans or rice wasting space in this carne asade, only carne, tomatoes, onions, and a little guacamole. All good stuff as far as I am concerned. I used their mild and extra hot salsas on the burrito. Both of the salsas were very tasty. The extra hot was decently hot and made my nose run. The mild had some good onions in it and had an interesting flavor. The burrito was gone at 7:45 pm, just in time to walk over and watch my tear jerker of a movie, alone, so no one would see me cry. Good lord, what a sad movie that was. BURP!
