Servall Liquor – Craft City

Servall is easily one of the best bottle shops I’ve been ever been to. Want wine? Craft beer? Hard liquor? SNACKS?! You’ll find everything you need in abundance, with high quality options and good prices.
Their beer fridge in the back of the store is deceptively small. There’s so much good stuff in there! Stock is rotated frequently with new and unique bottles, and everything is well organized. The staff is also awesome.
They also keep their patrons updated on social media when they have something *extra special* on hand so protip: follow them on twitter.

I’ve been in the store several times and the customer service has always sucked (the cashiers speak in their language without a simple hello or greeting) but I just get one particular item and leave. The service tonight took the cake! Tonight there was a gentleman (and that term is is used lightly) about 5’4″, jet black James Brown style hair who followed me to two different aisles while I made additional selections. I look up and he’s glaring at me. I suppose he was working harder to make an extra $ 5 to buy his well needed hair dye for his badly exposed roots.
My advice: You know what occurs when we ASSuME. You have no clue what I can afford. Needless to say after this experience, I will not be back.

Picked up some Dogfish Head Punkin ale here and it tastes like it went bad. I would totally bring it back to the store but we live an hour away. I had to throw it out it was so bad/​off.

Uhhh not worth the hype. Ok bottleshop but there are many that smoke this places selections.

Wow! what a selection! This guy knows his stuff — and I couldn’t be happier to have stumbled onto this place. Prices are a little higher, but they’re worth the selection and the incredible variety you’ll find here. Just WOW.

The store had a huge selection of bombers. They also have a pretty decent wine selection as well. The price is a little higher than others but still competitive. Not a lot of help from the guy behind the counter, but I still managed. The only downside — they don’t give you the option to make your own 6 pack. So many beers to chose from, it would be great to make a sampler.

One of my favorite bottle stores in San Diego. They update on Instagram any time they get something new in and they have a refrigerated section for 22oz beers

I’m a casual craft beer drinker, but avid alcohol fanatic so I like my options. Whether you want to slam a couple grape flavored steel reserves and subsequently call your ex girlfriend at 3am or you simply want to enjoy a crispy kolsch at 11am out of a red cup while walking the dog, this spot has got you covered.
Got the munchies? Grab some chips on your way out. You don’t like chips? Then get some peanuts instead — they’ve got those too!

I ordered several beers for my husband for Xmas that we can’t find in the IE. Shipping was not crazy expensive, super fast and the customer service top notch! We will definitely be ordering from them again:)

The place is clean, too which I have found is somewhat of an anomaly in huge liquor stores. Weird. Anywho, the service we had was friendly. I am sure you have to be very knowledgeable to work here, although we did not need to put it to the test as we walked in knowing exactly what we wanted. One of these days though, I’m gonna need to know where my favorite beer is located and I’m gonna want a recommendation for something new to try!
This is where I’m going if I ever need a cool gift or when I am looking for a hard to find item! No question about it!

I’m trolling those aisles seeing what they have new and unique, they just have a great variety of everything even cigars.

The selection of wine, liquor and beer at this place is top notch. I picked up a 6 pack of Abita beer which is always a treat and I enjoyed walking through their isles and seeing everything that they sell.

They’ve been great lately on updating their Instagram and Twitter with their recent acquisitions. Picked up some Pliny the Elder and Consecration on Friday after they announced having these on their social feeds. It’s stuff they keep in the back for people that ask for these bottles specifically.
In addition, they’ve had a pretty good stock of things from the Bruery. I was able to get a bottle of Sour in the Rye for $ 22 recently (a bottle that sells for $ 20 to MEMBERS only at the Bruery’s official location in Fullerton).
Great selection, very fair prices, and the staff seems super knowledgeable and helpful.

I have been going to this store for the last 8 years and I highly recommend them. They have a clean beautiful store. They have a wide selection of beer, wine and specialty liquors. The family that owns it are the nicest people and are tops when it comes to customer service and satisfaction. Unlike so many other liquor stores, Servall keeps their items always in stock and it’s a comfortable store to shop in. They also have the sodas that are made in mexico with real sugar, Coke, Sprite and 7 Up. So stop on by and see what I mean, they are the absolute best!

This is a convenient store with a ton of selection.
Soda/​Drinks: Lots to offer from all the major national brands and LOTS of local or less known producers. It’s cool to see all the different products available.
Beer/​wine: They have a HUGE selection of beer and wine. The prices are OK (as you’d expect from a convenience store) yet not overpriced.
Liquor: They have a wall of liquor that will get you what you need. Again, pricing is OK to a bit high but you are paying for convenience.
Snacks: There are plenty of snacks to go around. My favorite are the Mexican peanuts that are not easy to find at most C stores.
They also offer a number of other items (cigars, airplane bottles, local newspapers, etc).
Location: They are located in a fantastic spot on University. The location is super convenient for walking to get supplies or for late not stops for that final night cap.
Also, it is a SUPER SAFE location and EXTREMELY well lit at night.
Overall, this is a very good store. Give them your business.

Okay for selection I had to give it 3 stars but I REALLY wanted to give this place 2.
I used to work across the street from here so my co workers and I were all here often. They kind of have everything so it’s hard not to have been here at least a couple of times if you live in the area.
The parking is a total D. There’s like 3 spaces and a million business so that is never fun.
One of the owners /​managers /​who knows what that guy is was constantly hitting on people in the corners of the store. Creepy! It’s awkward when you’re deep in thought about booze and someone pops up from behind you asking you if you are married or dating!
The people working are always really disinterested. They are always watching some game or reading the paper? I shouldn’t say always. If they don’t have anything better to do, they can be really helpful.
When I first wanted to stop going it was really difficult because you get used to having everything right there. But I find myself perfectly happy using Cottage «drive in» liquor on Park or just going to Ralph’s if I need anything more. If you see an open parking space, or are walking by, this is a totally okay establishment. But if you want something with more consistency as far as parking or customer service then you are not missing out.

A very convenient place to buy booze for me as it’s only two mere blocks from my apartment. Prices are fairly reasonable, and the selection of wine, hard stuff, and beer substantial.

In general I must say that when it comes to variety and cleanliness on the scale that I rank liquor stores this one is definitely top on my list.
The only downside is the fact that there is never parking. When you are walking down the street looking for a little kahlua for the starbucks you just bought across the street it does the trick but if you are in a hurry on your way to a fabulous dinner party and need a bottle of vino to take with you then you might be in a jam since the parking is so bad.
In general though they are friendly people that run a good liquor store.
