We are both a Salon and Tattoo shop we specialize in custom cuts, colors, hilites, & vintage up-do’s on all hair types. Men, Women, and Children welcome! Men’s cuts $ 25, Women $ 35, Kid’s $ 15, color starts at $ 40, hilites start at $ 55, up-do’s start at $ 45. On the tattoo side our artists specialize in ALL types of tattoos, and the shop min. is $ 80. We also have art for sale from our low brow artist Ron Wharton «the art pimp» available all throughout the shop.

History

Established in 1998.

Seth Yates has been in business since 1998 and has become an icon in the community. Seth grew up in Ocean Beach, which is a very unique community, one may say that O.B. is sort of stuck in the ’60’s trying to fight off the present. Seth’s Chop Shop is truly an innovative and thriving enterprise. Seth’s innovative style is a throw back to the ’50’s with a new century twist..

Seth was born and raised in Ocean Beach. He has been a stylist since 1985, he’s seen it and can do it all, he specializes in any type of up-​do/​styling, cut or color, men, women, children, and occassional dog. If it has been done or can be done he has or will get it done! He has also been a tattoo artist since 2005 and he specializes in traditional, neo-​traditional, custom, colorful, & bold tattoos with his own unique twist.
