Shane and Lauren Photography

Shane & Lauren are absolutely amazing, we had our engagement photos and also our wedding reception photos with them and they are the best. We loved every single one of our engagement photos! They were perfect! They are an adorable couple, very easy to work with and professional — they know how to capture the best shot! They really are artists at what they do –so calm and easy going. It’s easy to be natural around them (and that translates to good photos). I have no doubt we will be using them for our next life event, whenever that may be ;) THANK YOU!!!

I am extremely fortunate and blessed to have Shane and Lauren to shoot my wedding as well as my engagement shoots. They are an absolute pleasure to work with and they went way above and beyond to capture the best shots for us.
I can list many examples of how wonderful they are but to narrow this review, I will list 2 that stood out. The 1^st is when we shot my engagement shoot near a beach, Shane went waist deep into the ocean with his shoes and clothes still on, just to capture the right picture he wanted. DEDICATION! The 2^nd is when he met up with me the night before my wedding to grab my tux, the wedding dress, etc to set up our venue and knock out pictures before we got to the venue. All because he heard that our wedding coordinator flaked on us and we were stressed.
Shane and Lauren are an amazing pair and you can’t go wrong with them and all the amazing pictures I have got from them. Thanks guys!

Shane and Lauren were wonderful to work with. I was doing 95% of the wedding planning myself and choosing a wedding photographer was one of the hardest things for me and I didn’t know where to start. I found them on Unilocal and was pleased with the reviews and then checked out their website. I absolutely loved their photography. It is so unique, fresh and different from all the other photographers. Shane answered all my questions in detail and was very responsive to all my emails. We got our photos 3 weeks after our wedding and were so excited to relive our big day again. They captured every moment so beautifully, all our friends complimented us on our pictures! I can’t wait to see our album.
Shane and Lauren are also two very cool people, they will make you feel comfortable and help you ‘pose’ or rather naturally ‘pose’ if you don’t know what to do. Both our engagement, as well as our wedding pics, look super natural without any awkward poses.
If you are having trouble picking a photographer, pick them J They are awesome. They are professional. Your pictures will be bomb. I would totally book them again.

Shane and Lauren are not only and amazing photography team, but they’re also amazing, thoughtful, artistic and genuine individuals! My husband and I met them years before our big day when their photography business was just getting started. I followed them on instagram and Facebook and watched their business take off so quickly and what seemed like effortlessly. Which is no suprise since their work is absolutely stunning! When it was time for us to start looking for a photographer I knew without a doubt that I wanted them to capture our memories. My husband insisted that we look around at least a little, but after comparing their work to a few other photograhers, he was on board too.
After I contacted them, communication was effortless, we did almost everything through email and Lauren was so good about responding quickly and answering all of my questions. She even covered things that I would never have thought to ask about, and they were super accommodating with times and dates. Although I would definitely recommend contacting them early like we did, because they book up quickly!
We decided to do things a little different, instead of an engagement shoot, we had pictures taken a few days early in our wedding attire so that we could get more shots of just the two of us, at a different location and spend more time with our family and friends on the wedding day. Shane and Lauren recommended the perfect place for the shoot and the timing was just right for the light to hit us in a magical way. They directed us so well, it wasn’t akward or uncomfortable at all. They clearly knew what they were doing to get amazing shots! I love that they used digital and real film to get a variety of looks.
On the day of, they showed up on time and ready to work. Lauren came into the dressing room at the site and explained what order they would do everything, she took my personals and disappeared. The next time I saw them was when it was time for them to come in and capture my time with my gals and me opening my wedding gift from my husband.
During the wedding and reception time Shane and Lauren were everywhere they needed to be, but somehow invisible at the same time. They scouted the site for the best places to take pictures, they guided our families and bridal party perfectly. And they were so accommodating and helpful. At one point Shane even ran up back to my bridal suite to grab me something I had forgotten!
Once all the fun was over, we were sent a link with what felt like thousands of photos within only a couple of weeks! They spent that time touching up the photos a little and making them perfect! A couple of days after that we got a package with the personalized box that I had been looking forward to receiving since I first started following Shane and Lauren Photography! A customized wooden box that has our name and date on it, and inside we found a usb with all of our photos on it and a few printed copies that they had picked out! Such an thoughtful personal touch!
I rarely write reviews, and I’ve never written one this long before, but these two are truly amazing! Their work alone sets them apart enough for me to recommend them to anyone and everyone! But if you choose to work with them you get the added bonus of working with two of the sweetest, most caring and truly creative individuals that you’ll ever meet!

First off, what an amazing pair. Of all our vendors, we definitely spent the most time before and during the wedding with these two. I’m so thrilled that was the case. Not only are they a pleasure to talk to and be around, but they are an extremely organized and seamless team. That was sincerely appreciated by both the groom and I as we were more than a little scattered on the big day. Everything from Lauren driving to my father in law’s to pick up the rings I had forgotten (whoooooops!) to Shane editing our photos that day and giving our friends and family cards with our picture and the link to view them — the service they gave us was superlative.
We interviewed and considered many photographers, but there was never doubt in our mind that Shane and Lauren would be the ones to capture our day. They did an amazing job. We will cherish these photos for our entire lives. We already plan on coming back to them for family photos, baby photos, and pretty much anything we could ever need them for.

What I was looking for in our wedding photographers and why we chose Shane and Lauren:
1. Photos that look natural and not overly processed or artificially posed.
Shane is trained in film (old-​school!) photography, which means he knows how to properly frame a photo artistically, without over-​reliance on digital technology. Shane and Lauren’s expert use of natural light and their knack for capturing impromptu moments produce photographs that look beautifully natural, ethereal, and effortless. The wedding and engagement photos that we received as part of our package were from both their digital cameras and their film cameras, which was really cool. Lauren’s attention to detail made photos of all our wedding accessories (eg. rings, shoes, jewelry) look gorgeous, and highlighted a lot of the important details of our day that we wanted to remember. Their attention to detail also extends to their overall service. The digital photos they sent us were beautifully packaged in a custom thumbdrive inside a wooden box. They even sent us a very nice Christmas gift!
2. Flexibility: we had to plan our wedding remotely as we do not live in the same city as our wedding venue (San Diego).
Shane and Lauren worked patiently with us via Skype, gchat, and email to work out the details and customize our package to ensure it was exactly what we wanted.
3. Reasonably priced.
We did not have an elaborate wedding, and we also had a smaller budget. The value with respect to the quality of service and work that we got from Shane and Lauren was definitely the best that we could ever hope for.
Other highlights that we were impressed with:
— Shane and Lauren were very respectful throughout all our wedding events. We barely noticed that they were there, and yet, we were pleasantly surprised by how many special moments and details they were able to capture.
— Quick turnaround: ~1 month after our 05÷30÷14 wedding
— They’re just REALLY NICE people who were super easy to work with.

Shane and Lauren are absolutely amazing! AMAZING! They are incredibly talented, very professional, very responsive, and absolutely two of the sweetest people I know! They did both of our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and my husband and I loooooved our pictures. For our engagement photos, we wanted to do a «Mad Men» inspired shoot, and they totally fulfilled our vision. For our wedding photos, they really captured our day, moment-​by-​moment, capturing all of our most emotional and happy moments. When my husband and I looked through our photos, it felt like were were re-​living our day. It was priceless and amazing. Plus, they even create «Thank You» cards and beautiful albums for after your wedding. They are so creative and talented. I definitely recommend them… without a doubt. They are truly great! =)

Mozi Photography is absolutely amazing! Not only are Shane and Lauren extremely talented, creative photographers, but they exude passion for their photography. From the very beginning my wife and I knew that we had hit the jackpot and made the perfect choice. Shane and Lauren are so kind and down-​to-​earth. They really make you feel comfortable during the shoot. They were truly invested in our special day and wanted it to be perfect in every way, making sure that all the photos were elegant and timeless, but at the same time reflected the personalities of my wife and I and capturing the kinds of shots we wanted. We fell in love with how all the engagement and wedding shots turned out; they captured every moment we could have hoped for. Working with them was a fantastic experience.

I can’t say enough about Mozi Photography. I had been stalking their website for awhile, even before I was engaged, and as soon as my fiancé popped the question I was 100% sure we would want them to take our wedding photos. Shane and Lauren are super professional, and the cutest, most kind couple you will ever meet. They really worked with us in choosing our engagement shoot location, and had some really great ideas. Though my fiancé and I were totally awkward during the shoot, they made us feel SO comfortable and the pictures came out amazing. We have gotten so many compliments about how beautiful the photos are, and they are now all over our house. I could go on and on, but bottom line is there is no question in recommending Mozi photography, we can’t wait to work with them again for our wedding :)

Mozi Photography is absolutely amazing. I found them via my friend on Facebook who had hired them for her engagements and wedding. From the first email I knew Shane was my photographer. First and foremost his price is unbeatable. His talent is also incredible! Every email was detailed, informative and helpful. Having viewed his work I was ready to sign on the dotted line. Shane and Ryan (videographer) met us in the Bay Area to answer our last minute questions. Since then I emailed Shane probably close to one hundred times with random questions and he answered in a timely manner and with great detail. He was very involved and helpful. We did our engagement shoot in San Francisco (where Shane flew up for) and went to four different locations and took pictures all day. He was very light hearted and easy to work with (despite my nerves and my husbands inability to take a decent picture). Our engagement shoot turned out beautifully. We received so many compliments on how great the photos were. Shane guided the process, offering great poses and suggestions. He took a lot of natural shots of us just walking and talking and captured the love that we share. The turn around time for the engagements was very quick, within a few weeks we had our CD. After the wedding I kept in touch with Shane on Facebook and he was even kind enough to answer photography questions when I got a new camera. We kept in contact via email and he sent us a list of shots we wanted to capture on the wedding day. He googled locations for «the first look» and picked a great one. He was there the entire time I was getting ready and was completely unintrusive. I barely noticed having my picture taken. His wife Lauren was the second shooter for the day of and her calming nature really made me feel at ease. She set-​up certain photos, made sure my hair was out of my face and at times held my clutch. They are an amazing team and I cannot wait to see the wedding photos. I am planning on doing a «Trash the Dress» shoot in a few months and Shane will be my photographer again. When we start a family, Shane will be the photographer for the maternity shoot. He is absolutely a great photographer and now friend!

Shane and Lauren were the photographers for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier. Because both of them came out, we were able to get great photos of both the bride and groom preparing for the ceremony. Shane came out to the venue before the event to scope out the best places for pictures and it really paid off because the photos are awesome and I have gotten so many compliments on them.
On a side note, Shane and Lauren are very professional, talented, and personable people. They provided us with a lot of good suggestions for our wedding. I am so happy that our day was documented in such a beautiful day.
