I had my consult with Jamie who was very detailed oriented. She took her time and showed me all the options to go with. I had two other appointments and one guy never sat down and I felt like it was a rush appointment. I decided to go with Shuttermart and I’m really happy with my shutters. I had nine Windows and it took the guys about 3 ½ hours which was great. They cleaned up any mess that was made, and took time cleaning the shutters making sure all dust particles were gone. They also removed an old frame, I had trouble removing free of charge thanks to Jamie. Shuttermart also offered a special for after the holidays, but I was lucky to get my shutters installed the week of Christmas and get the discount. I recently moved to Hawaii. We were renting a house full of older wood shutters. In order to get your deposit back the shutters needed some repairs. The company the owner bought them from was out of business. So I called called Shuttermart. Took some pictures of what needed to be done and was quoted a $ 50.00 trip charge $ 50.00 an hour. The installer Daniel was there for 30 minutes. He prorated the hourly fee. It cost $ 75.00 and my landlord was happy and we received our deposit back! So amazing!

I had our first residential shutter install 20 years ago. It still looks and functions as it did the day it was installed. 10 years ago we had an additional 8 window shutters installed and recently we had the remaining two windows done. With the final install we needed a few shutter panel pins replaced. No problem, Shuttermart completed the repairs at no additional charge.
They stand behind their quality product with exceptional courtesy and service. Pay a few more bucks and eliminate the middle man.

I travel between California and Florida for work. I have a house in the Mission Valley area and got my Shutters done my Shuttermart. Jamie was very accommodating to my needs and budget. Daniel the installer showed up at the scheduled time, was friendly, and did a great job with the install. I could not of asked for better service. Thanks guys! A++++

I recently purchased a home in Calavera Hills. I needed window coverings and heard some great things about Shuttermart, so I thought I would give them a try. So happy I did! Their sales rep, John, was right on schedule, very knowledgable and helpful with picking the right shutters for my house. He was never pushy and in fact talked me into blinds for certain windows that worked better with blinds, even though that meant losing the business for those specific windows.
The shutter installers showed up, did a great job and everything was cleaned up and in perfect order when they left.
I’ve dealt with many many vendors/​contractors over the years and Shuttermart is definitely one that I will keep in my records for future jobs. It’s hard to find an honest, reliable and reasonably priced company, so when I do I like to spread the word!

Our wooden shutters are 18+ years old. We have had a couple of problems with the plastic swivels and I have just taken the shutter door to them and they always fix them while I wait free of charge. So I cant expect them to come out for free on decades old shutters. So I just take them there.

Shuttermart is top notch! I hired them to make a repair at a rental property in San Diego. The shutters were really old 17 years and they sent a tech out to make some repairs. The cost was reasonable only $ 100.00. I am grateful since the original company I bought the shutters from went out of business. Thank you shuttermart.

Several years ago, we had Shuttermart in to do some repairs. It was a minor job, and the guy was nice enough not to charge us.
This time, I set up a repair appointment and was told there would be a basic charge of $ 100, plus labor at $ 50 per hour. After thinking about it for a couple of days, I decided I could get the repairs done elsewhere for less. I called and told them I needed to cancel the appointment (which was set for the following week.) The woman on the phone asked me if I wanted to reschedule. I said no, it was too expensive. Her response? She just hung up on me.
I recommend going elsewhere.

About 2 years ago, I purchased interior window shutters from Shuttermart for all the windows in my condo. It was a very good experience. The estimator, John, was very personable. In fact, he remembered doing a shutter installation for my sister’s house about 5 years earlier. I have a thing about customer service, and can forgive a higher price if I’m treated right. When you call Shuttermart, one of the owners (husband & wife) will answer the phone! They are both super nice.
Two complications that occurred that were immediately taken care of: One of the shutters was not measured correctly and was installed with a small gap since it was slightly smaller than the window frame. I called the following day and spoke to Carol. She sent John back the next day to do a remeasure. The shutter was replaced very quickly.
Just recently, the white poly-​clad started to turn yellow from the sun exposure. I called Carol and she sent her husband Tom to my place to inspect them. He determined that the poly-​clad coating was not mixed correctly from the manufacturer and would be covered completely by the warranty. He explained that this is a rare occurrence. They are coming back to my place the end of this week to install all new shutters!
I am very happy with Shuttermart and will absolutely use them again for my next place.

I went to Shuttermart today for 2 reasons:
1) To pick up hardware that broke on my Shuttermart shutters (plastic casing over the magnet connector).
The lady in the back gave me an attitude as soon as I walked in and tried to question my intelligence on how big my shutters were and what I needed. After she finally figured out what I was looking for, she said it would be $ 10. I said, «Shouldn’t this be covered in the warranty?», and she replies, «Do you have it on you? If not it will be $ 10». I then explained that why would I drive all the way over here to get hardware for something I don’t have and didn’t pay thousands of dollars for. She continued on with her attitude so I left without the hardware.
2) To pick up 2 business cards for 2 separate friends that just bought homes and wanted to get shutters for all the windows.
I obviously didn’t leave with the cards, and it’s too bad for Shuttermart because had this lady not given me an attitude and tried to charge me $ 10 for something that should have been free, they could have easily had 2 referrals totaling $ 15K — $ 20K.
