Well I went there to get my contact lenses.

If you have awful vision like I do, then you understand the frustration that comes with not being able to see clearly or fully. Thankfully, I have this place to fall back on. I will always come back because they make sure that I’m set and have what I need.
I have been coming here for almost two years, and this has been the only optometrist that I actually trust. I’m always super skeptical when it comes to healthcare professionals since I’ve had so many horrible experiences. But this place is awesome! It MIGHT be because of Debbie (she helps at the front), but she never fails to make me feel appreciated as a customer. If I ever need anything or something has happened to my contacts, she is so fast in helping me out.
I had my glasses done here as well and it’s hard for me to have glasses because I have astigmatism as well. I let them know I couldn’t see very well with my new glasses, and they were very quick to address it. It wasn’t their fault (one second I see well, the next I don’t) but it was nice to have an optometrist be receptive to my concerns.

Gave me wrong orders several times and made mistake in charges. They are not even apologetic for their errors. Very inefficient group.

Very bad! The glasses is 20 degree more than the prescription, besides is much expensive.

The staff and Dr. Weitzman always do a great job in helping me with my eye exams and glasses.

Dr. Ambrose & Dr. Weitzman are both very professional doctors. Deborah & Scott are also so wonderful. Scott was very helpful when it came to choosing new lenses & they were ready for pickup in no time (saved me a chunk of cash, too). I really enjoy my visits to this office and will continue to go there for all my eye care needs! Thank you everyone at Sorrento Valley Optometric Center!

I have been a patient of Dr. Weitzman for many years and have always had the most positive experiences at SVOC. The whole staff is very professional, patient, and helpful, and very good at guiding me in picking out the best frames for my face and style. Someone else posted that the selection is slim but I have never left here without finding the perfect pair of frames. They also offer all the latest lens technologies and quality sunglasses brands, but in a much more personalized environment than the big name eye-​centers. I trust Dr. Weitzman completely with my eye health and will remain his customer as long as he’s in business.

I went in for a repair of a competitors product. They cheerfully made the repair in less than 10 minutes while I waited, and didn’t charge me. I was willing to pay but they insisted. I would gladly recommend anyone to give them their business.

My wife and I both had eye exams and picked out some beautiful reading glasses, and transition glasses. The glasses were delivered on the date specified and we were very happy with our new eye wear.

I originally started coming here 2 years ago because it was close to my office for convenience, but bow am I glad I did. Dr. Weitzman is awesome and very patient with me. I have very sensitive eyes and have had to come here last minute on numerous occasions. They have always fit me in even last minute. Ive been in here for scratched eyes, eye infections, you name it. They are very quick about have your contacts and our glasses ready for you. Prices are also very affordable. Weitzman is very informative on the right contacts, solution and whatever I need to take care of my sensitive eyes and is also generous with samples and such. He is also a very friendly guy so is the rest of the staff.

I have been going to SVOC for years. I have to say that I really love the non-​sales approach they take to checking my eyes. I have felt at other places that they are constantly trying to sell me some different tests, get me onto some research project or pressuring me to buy really expensive frames. At SVOC I feel like they are more concerned about my eye health than about selling me. I appreciate the honest and direct approach that Dr. Weitzman has, and Scott who is always available to fit and fix my eyeglasses.

I’ve been going to see Dr. Weitzman for more than 5−6yrs. He very knowledgeable, has a very welcoming and quiet shop. The staff there are very friendly, Both of my children go there as well and have been for years. Overall this is a great company and a local favorite. a hidden gem in Sorrento Valley. Top notch staff top notch in customer service.

It is a pleasure to recommend Sorrento Valley Optometric Center, specifically Dr. Weitzman.
I stumbled onto the location because I work close by and needed glasses for an upcoming DMV drivers license renewal. His assistant happened to be out, so he was covering the front desk as well as doing the exams. He was so gracious and polite, it made an immediate positive impression on me.
Dr Weitzman is a thorough professional who clearly knows his craft and cares for his patient’s well being. He is one of the kindest doctors I’ve ever met. I look forward to these exams because he’s so easy to talk to, polite, gracious and good natured.
I just received a new set of glasses from my last exam and they feel great! Having recently relocated to Orange County, I will miss these yearly exams as he really made them enjoyable.

Great company looking to help you see better, look better, and not empty your pocket book. They got me in and out quick and easy. They can do all types of frames, I even saw them installing lenses in a dive mask while I was there. Top notch operation.

Dr Weitzman is the nicest guy as are the other optometrists that work with him. Everyone is so nice and it’s a pleasure to get my contacts or get an eye exam there.

Went in yesterday for an eye exam and to purchase contacts — Dr Ambrose is outstanding! Excellent professional, very knowledgeable and conservative in his treatment (held back on strengthening my contacts in favor of working forward in increments to save my eyes).
Great doc, would recommend him to anyone!

I came here late Feb. 2012 for an eye exam and had a great experience.
My only gripe is that the selection of eye glasses is rather small.
I have seen both Dr. Weitzman and Ambrose in the past 3 years and can say they are both very professional.
They do not dilate your eyes for an eye exam here.

I am a long time customer — more than 5 years! The shop is small and welcoming. I am always impressed when I visit.
Excellent exams, great selection of everyday and high-​end frames and sunglasses, and nice customer service. Other shops are clearly in second place.
More people seem to visit midday maybe due to its close proximity to Qualcomm.

I used to go to LensCrafters for my eye exams and glasses. Kind of a default choice, as it may. After last time I went, where it took two weeks to make my fairly common lenses and a few other problems, I decided to try another place for my vision needs. It was also time for another eye exam anyway, and my prescription sunglasses had broken a few days ago, so why not?
I called and made an appointment and was pleased to find that I could get in the next day during lunch, which worked perfectly for me. I figured that I could hide at work after getting my eyes dilated until the drops wore off. The next day I get there 5 minutes early and the optometrist took me in early. Always a plus. :D
The exam was normal enough. I hate that stupid airpuff machine, but who doesn’t? Anyway, the optometrist was very nice, as well as the rest of the office staff. I had a lot more help in choosing new frames for sunglasses than I ever got at LensCrafters, and the price was reasonable with my vision insurance too. I decided to get my regular glasses’ lenses swapped out, too, and they’ll be able to do it in a few hours once the lenses come in.
In my opinion, this place is a very well kept secret when it comes to eye care. :)
