Reminds me of the old school nail salons. No spa chairs, just straight forward nails. Not all about the pomp & hoopla either. They were very friendly, efficient, and thorough. Salon was clean and simple, nothing overly done.
I went with my own polish based on previous reviews about the limited selection of polish. I asked for a design on my toes and fingers and even that was simple, yet artful. Dina explained to me that they do designs «simple and not fancy.» They did flowers, which came out nice.
I was most impressed because they do not talk among themselves the whole time like employees in other nail salons. Also they were very clear about taking cash only before agreeing to provide any services. Perhaps most impressive was their time management with their walk-​ins. A lady walked in and rather than telling her it would be 10 minutes and to go pick a color, Dina was honest and said they could not see her for 25 – 30 minutes.
Worth the money if you don’t need spa chairs and fancy designs. I’ll be back for sure!

Very nice staff. Solid pedicure for 9 bucks. Color selection is a little limited so I’d recommend bringing your own color if you have. Would definitely go back.

Are you kidding me, 8 $ for a pedicure!!! and a great one too… The lady’s are super kind and the lady that owns the alterations shop on the corner is sweet with her lil’ dog! She stops in to say hi every now and then, so they say:)…not a fancy (no spa or massage chairs) place BUT well worth your time! Cash only and there’s a pizza place on the corner in case u need to grab a bite and run! Also there’s a Chase Bank on 30^th with a drive thru Atm… Right, call in to let the ladies know you need an appointment. Thank you Spectrum Nails!

Love this little spot. Reasonable prices and wonderful staff. Small operation so make sure you call ahead for an appointment. This is NOT the place to bring the girls to sit and chat while you get pampered. It is the perfect spot if you’re solo and need a quick mani/​pedi for a great price.
Only issue: I wish they had a UV light to dry my nails since drying them with just a little fan is a guarantee that I’ll ruin them in the following hour.

My new favorite nail place! The price is right and the quality of work is good! Parking is never an issue and they take walk-​ins and appointments! I recommend these nice ladies!

No muss, no fuss spot. I decided to try this place out today after seeing reviews. They get the job done quickly and efficiently with no upselling. Also, the ladies are nice and aren’t gossipy. They’ll chat with you if you want but will leave you alone if you are doing something else or seem distracted.
My nail tech, Rose, really cut my cuticles with care and precision. A half a dozen OPI brand polishes, but the rest are other, non prestige brands.
Great, quick $ 9 pedi. Can’t beat that.

When I walked in & asked for a manicure, one lady immediately tried the whole pedi add & buy products (shampoo/​hair spray…) I sat & was helped by Tina & she was awesome! Super friendly, we had a nice talk and she made it a very pleasant experience, plus my nails look cute for someone who is a biter ;)

They did a great job and were very good and fast!!! Yet still took their time with their work. The price was great and I will definately be going back…

If your looking for just a quick simple basic grooming clean up then this is just the place. Don’t expect a spa pedi or any fancy scrubs or massages. For $ 16 for a mani/​pedi and add $ 4 for tip you shouldn’t expect much. C’mon how can you beat clean fresh polish for only $ 20 out the door? You can’t! Oh and its cash only! And parking sucks, but hey don’t be picky! Its $ 20!

If you are looking for a fast fix of your tootsies and your nails then this is the place. Prices are cheap, good service but not the cleanest place around.
They have a variety of nail polishes, not high-​end brands but they will do the job.
I bring my own all the time.
I come here when I can’t make it all the way to my regular spot, if I just need a quick mani or to freshen up my polish.
I wouldn’t recommend getting a pedicure here.
I usually get the mani and change of polish and it’s a total of $ 12.
Bring cash and they do not take CC.
The ladies work fast and they will try to understand your needs if you speak up.
Good service every time.

I love coming to see Tina and the girls. They always take care of me and for $ 16 for a mani and pedi I always come out a happy gal.
They are cash only and parking is a little difficult but it is always worth it to me. I always find street parking by the area, either behind the salon or down the street.
The girls clean your cuticles and make your nails looks spectacular and I still can’t get over the price. I had recently relocated from North Park to East County and tried a nail salon down the street from my new place needless to say I will be making the drive to North Park to see Tina @ Spectrum Nails.
Make an appointment so that you don’t have to wait in line and if you don’t like their colors take your own, that’s what I do.

Fast, efficient, and good at what they do! Only $ 20 for manicure, pedicure, plus design! Wow! I’m coming back!

PEOPLE LOVE US ON Unilocal-​This on the window was our first clue we found a great place, and I know these aren’t dealt out freely.
And, $ 16 for the best manicure & pedicure (add in a tip and $ 20 a piece) in San Diego we’ve BOTH ever had!
WE just had to have our paws looking nice for Unilocal’s Rock The Boat Event!
So, after our second visit here, Marty & I are customer for good!
This place is small, not fancy, laid back and the manicurists here do a damned good job too!
A must, as they even rival Royal Nails here in LB where I go once a month.
Everything is clean, certifications posted very visibly regarding health code compliance’s & licensing on every level.
The ladies here are quite the entertaining group, and are very friendly and curious.
They always ask if we cook, what we do for a living, where we live, travel, not just mindless conversation but truly social interacting at it’s best, and we get to hear of their experiences, a cultural combination plate if you will along with getting our paws cleaned up.
We get the full service, after all of the prepping, soaking, clipping & cutting on our hands & feet, a base of clear top coat, then a top coat that has a tint of pink ends up making our nails look naturally healthy.
I work in the garden frequently, and my mani/​pedi wears down in several days from most places I’ve been to, not here, these mani/​pedis last long enough for me to not be embarrassed when my hands and feet are seen; most people notice your hands and feet, second only to your eyes, so first impressions are always good.
Marty does lots of baking and he too has hands that need this type of service.
We BOTH have never had our cuticles look so nice, along with the hand, arm, calve & foot massages and the pumice stone, we just felt so much better.
If you want no frills, no massage chairs, and just a great mani/​pedi, then Spectrum Nails is for you, enough people on Unilocal love them, the window stickers say it is so and we attest too, this is the place to get your hands & feet ready for places to go.
The are cash only, and we are okay with that, identity theft isn’t a problem here, and they have been robbed 5 times since they opened and still hang in there, and now drop everything in a floor safe right by the front door, we found that a little TMI, but the owner assured us it’s best to let a thief know they are visible if they tried anything.
Also, they have a large male following of customers, most of their customers are men, 3 – 1 over women too.
Hey, they may be talking smack about us, maybe not like Leonur said in her 5 Star review, but like she said «Who cares!», we’d rather be talked about, than have crappy looking hands & feet, and when it comes down to it, bad or good it’s just like this when someone does talk smack:

Quite affordable and thorough pedicure. $ 10 for a pedicure.
Super talented and hard working staff. The inside is bare bones and they could make it nicer, but it works.
I recommend daytime appointments considering safety.

Cash only so be prepared! $ 20 out the door for mani+pedi+tip. This isn’t a day spa you’d find in La Jolla so don’t expect a lot. It’s a cozy little shop tucked inside a small strip of businesses on 30^th street. What you will get is friendly ladies ready to take care of your fingers and toes. Don’t expect a full on conversation either as they don’t speak a lot of English, but they are super sweet.
They don’t have massage chairs, but that’s not always needed. Both times I have been here they have done a good job for what you pay. The restroom is clean which is always a plus. They do take walk-​ins, but tend to be busy so it wouldn’t hurt to make an appointment if you have somewhere to be. If not, wander on in, take a seat and chill until they are ready for you.

Very nice ladies! Holly did an amazing pedicure and I think Tina is her name did a great job on my nails. It is cheap and they take their time. Parking sucks and an appointment is necessary but it is worth it they are awesome

So this one time (not at band camp) I was waiting my turn for a pedi and all of a sudden there’s a loud BAAAM/​Crash! Everyone looks outside to see what’s up & I see tons of ppl staring at my car. No?! I think to myself… and yes, someone hit my parked car.
Anyhoo…long story short, while I took care of calling a tow truck & handle the other person’s insurance, blah blah blah… the nail salon closed but a couple of the women stayed late & asked if I still wanted my pedi. I was still in shock due to the crash but I did really want to get my nails Did… so they did it nice n quickly because the Tow guy was on his way to pick up my crashed vehicle.
I take my own polish always cuz I read others say their polish sucks so no problems there. They are sweet & efficient… yes, they speak in their language & probably talk smack but who cares… my toes sure don’t mind! ;)
