I love Starbucks, but I don’t expect to wait 10 minutes for my drink when there’s only one other person in line. Maybe it’s because the barista making drinks chatted for over five minutes with somebody who placed his order at the pick up station instead of at the counter. But since it was just an iced coffee he ordered, I don’t understand the long wait.

This is another typical San Diego Starbucks. It’s hit or miss on weather the restroom will have toilet paper or if it’s clean. Will the bums be using all the outlets charging their phones. They can’t miss that call for the job interview or the stand by ticket for a cruise. I’ll be glad to get back to my regular Starbucks.

WOW!!! What can say? A single star doesn’t do it justice. I’m being too generous with that. Sunday morning on a clear beautiful morning here in San Diego and everyone here is miserable! Why is that? Family and friends back east are digging out from a massive snow storm and these wimps are jaded and pissed; Why? Come on people, how about a hearty good morning and a smile, and maybe after that how about cleaning up every once in a while. No creamers or napkins, all gone, super messy, and when you ask for some creamer, moooooore attituuuude. What’s up with that? Must have caught a bad crew at a bad time. It’s not normally like this here. A friendly note to the crew at this awesome location: Lighten up guys, life could be a lot more miserable and you are all blessed to live and work here in downtown SAN. Count your blessings this morning, each and every moment you walk into YOUR Starbucks café, and smile. It works wonders for the soul.

I go to this location a lot; and as I updated in the last review, everything had improved. However, I observed something completely unacceptable today: the woman ahead of me in line was being waited on by a young woman named ‘Andy’, I think. While waiting on the woman, she struck up a rather combative conversation with another person behind the food counter and simply walked away! The woman had her cash in had to pay, and simply left it on the counter in frustration. When Andy finally returned, she had the nerve to put the change in the tip box… like she deserved it. The woman was still there at the condiments table, and Andy made no attempt whatsoever to apologize to the poor lady. That is simply outrageous customer service/behavior! The only saving grace was that Gloria stepped up and assisted me, because by this time Andy was still speaking with her colleague. If everyone at this location was as nice and professional as Gloria, it would be such a better experience. This store has a hard time getting professional, courteous help. Gloria is the only reason I do not rate this store back down to a 1-star. The lady that was so poorly mistreated told me she was going to lodge a complaint directly with Starbuck’s about how badly she was treated today.

Great location. Rude, unfriendly customer service. Just awful. Cashiers seem to engage in this stare-down with customers.

This is a very convenient location. I spent a few hours here while my wife shopped at the nearby Horton Plaza. This seemed like a fairly busy place but, the staff moved people through fairly quickly. I ordered my favorite holiday season Pumpkin Latte and it was delicious as usual.

Rude service. Guy asked if can help me, as he is doing something below the counter. Then ignored me. Then a lady ask to help me, while she was stocking the pastries. I told her my order, and she made me repeat my order because she wasn’t really listening…:(

Recently I relocated to downtown San Diego and live down the street from this location and walk here for my regular coffee fix. Typically, I wouldn’t bother to review a big corporate company. However, the last few times I’ve had the best service! Katherine has been an absolute doll!!! She remembers my order when I come in, always takes a genuine interest in myself and the customers behind me, and has such a big smile on her face. Thank you Katherine for all that you do!

Customer Service sucks at this location. It seems like all the employees are just miserable. I stopped on 09⁄12. Young Lady Blond hair took my order and I asked her if she had a rubber band I could have and she bluntly said«No, why would I have a rubber band». How rude. When I got my drink from the Old Lady making the drinks and not even a smile a thank you or a f you. Seriously if your that miserable at this job, go find another line of work. Let someone that needs the job work here.

This place has the worst service I’ve ever experienced. The lady with the glasses that opens the place is extremely rude and I will never have coffee here again. Before this experience, I was a frequent customer. Based upon the current lack of service and unfriendliness, I will never come here again.

I am a fan. Yes. The staff is always helpful to me and courteous. That being said the last 2 times I have been at this location a barista has been being yelled at by an irate customer. It was a bit scary. I get this is a busy location, with a very diverse clientele.(right next to Trolley.) Just saying… I felt very uncomfortable and sure didn’t want to sit down and have my coffee.

Bad customer service!!! Little girl in front of us peed herself while waiting to use the restroom. One of the baristas came to clean it up and the girl had gone into the restroom at this point. The barista kept saying«the bathroom is only for PAYING customers» while looking at my fiancé every time she said it. So incredibly rude! We already paid for 2 drinks lady!

Super long lines at this location. Longer than usual wait time. Great spot for outdoor seating and people watching if you have the time to spare.

We’re here early on Mondays and they always do a good job on our drinks, considering the rush of people that always seems to be here.

If you pay any attention to me, you’ll know that the first time I had Starbucks was when I was in Monterrey’s international airport on my way to Mexico City; August 2014. I don’t too much care for Starbucks(I prefer independent /mom and pop shops). I’m not going to voluntarily come here and drink /eat anything they have to offer. However, my boss and supervisor are addicted to coffee, so I’m sent here quite often. I’ve only actually ordered anything for myself when either offered to pay, which, so far, has only been three times; I decided on a small soy café mocha the first time, same thing for the second time,(but it wasn’t as good), and an iced soy café mocha the second time. When done right, it’s like drinking a brownie. And I love brownies. My boss and other attorneys haven’t complained about their orders, so I’m assuming the baristas have yet to mess up. I’m always greeted they’ve always been nice to me. A barista once called me «love bug» when I asked for a cup holder. And I always have to ask for a cup holder.

My new«local» Starbucks(GUYS I MOVEDAH). I’ve been twice for simple coffee beverages and while I have no specific complaints, this place is by no means a happy or cheerful Starbucks. Employees aren’t particularly positive, the line doesn’t move super fast and the entire atmosphere is pretty stiff /almost corporate. The milk area was pretty messy and missing skim milk. It wasn’t empty, just missing. There’s another bucks almost exactly the same distance from my apartment, and I’ll be frequenting that one more. It’s sunnier, friendlier and prettier. All that being said, my drinks were made properly and I left content.

The«Barista’s» are incredibly rude, and do not take any pride in their job. They all look miserable, and don’t care about making a good cup of Joe. Can you say–«ATTITUDE»? I understand they are slammed with long lines, and the rush of all the Downtown folk, but they knew that was part of their job when they were asked to work there. I’ve been here multiple times. I take the Coaster everyday to work, and sometimes like to stop by to grab coffee or a treat. However, NONE of my experiences have been pleasant. Coffee is fine– tastes like a typical Starbucks. I’ll admit the outside seating is lovely on a nice day. Inside is usually noisy and crowded(because of the location). For the amount of money you pay to get Starbucks coffee, I expected a little more from them. Thanks to this Starbucks, I’ve wandered to other coffee shops in the area, which(personally) have much better coffee and MUCH better service. I won’t be stopping by here anymore.

A very busy Starbucks indeed located near the end of Broadway downtown. I came looking for some iced green tea and an internet connection to get some work done. So I got that refreshing iced tea and strong internet connection. The Iced Tea was very good, iced well with good flavor and they gave me a free refill too( ). I spent about an hour and a half there, I as I watched the crew that works here go about there business, they were very friendly to customer, greeted them as they walked in, and kept the store in order. They even ducted for me so I could take a picture of the counter( ). This location sports plenty of outside seating. You have get a code from the staff to use the restroom, and you have to deal with some of the homeless a little. Nevertheless, I good Starbucks location.

This is my home base Starbucks. I work nearby and have been here hundreds of times since they opened in 2001. This location is as good or better than any other Starbucks that I have been to. The staff are usually very friendly and do a good job of managing the line. The only downside to this location is that they can get VERY busy at times on the mornings. Not a knock on the store or the staff, just a fact. Clean, comfortable store.
