History

Established in 2003.

SteamDiego grew from its inception in 1948 when Bernard Garber began providing installation and plumbing services for Southern California residents. By 1985, the company had grown to include installation and repair of dry and steam saunas for clients throughout San Diego and adjacent counties.

SteamDiego was formally established in 2003 and has continued to grow, becoming a leading expert in saunas as well as electric steam boilers and is one of the top representatives for major sauna brands in the area, offering comprehensive manufacturer warranty services.

SteamDiego provides service for all major manufacturers and suppliers of sauna and steam materials throughout the country. We are often called upon by manufacturers of sauna and steam equipment to act as an expert in the field.

Business Owner

Steve has over 30 years of experience in the field and is the leading local expert in saunas and steam rooms in Southern California.

Steve has been the face of the family business since 1985 and he works diligently to provide the highest quality relaxation experience to his steam/​sauna clients not only because he has dedicated himself to an in-​depth understanding of saunas mechanically, but also by way of maintaining a life-​long practice dedicated to the arts of Aikido and Zen meditation. These sensibilities are reflected in the attention to detail Steve gives every job and his devotion to client satisfaction. He works closely with his team to provide high quality steam/​sauna experience.

Steve earned a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Master’s in Peace Studies from University of San Diego and regularly uses the problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills learned from his studies and training in his business.
