The Stepping Stone Alumni Association is a group of former program participants that provide assistance to Stepping Stone of San Diego (SSSD) and the clients that receive SSSD services. The Alumni Association works closely with SSSD but is not directly affiliated with the agency. The Alumni Association is not affiliated with any 12-​step program and is not intended as a primary source of recovery. The Alumni Association is for past, present and future alumni of Stepping Stone. Our events and business meetings are open to ALL of our friends in the recovery community. We have an open business meeting on the 3^rd Wed of each month at 7:00PM. This meeting is a forum to discuss future alumni recovery-​related events and a way for alumni and friends to come together to exchange ideas and stay connected to the Stepping Stone recovery community. History

Established in 1976.

The Stepping Stone Alumni Association’s sole purpose is to provide an ongoing outlet for alumni service to Stepping Stone while at the same time serving as a fellowship opportunity for those with Stepping Stone ties. We primarily align ourselves with the LGBT community, however we are NOT exclusively restricted to LGBT persons and people of ANY sexual orientation are welcome in our group. We value the diversity of our community and we do advocate for equality of all people. The Alumni Association sponsors and/​or participates in various events throughout the year to benefit the Stepping Stone recovery community. Some of these events include December Nights, The Christmas Breakfast at Residential, Pride, AIDS Walk, the Stepping Stone Graduation, Recovery Games, and the Alumni Sponsor/​Sponsee Breakfast.
