I have been in private practice since 1991. My areas of practice are Bankruptcy; Wills, Living Trusts and Estate Planning; Probate and Trust Administration; and forming Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. The initial consultation is always free and my attorney fees are extremely competitive. I have satellite offices located in Rancho Bernardo and San Marcos as well and will do home appointments when the situation demands that.

History

Established in 1991.

I opened my own law practice in 1991 to help regular consumers with their basic legal needs. I form living trusts and write wills, do probate and trust administration and help consumers file chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases.

I have represented over 1500 consumers since I first began my law practice. I always provide a free consultation and do most of my work on a flat fee basis. My prices are very competitive and payment plans are always available. I take visa, mastercard and american express.

I graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1984. I passed the CPA examination in 1985. I graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989 in the top 10% of my class. I won numerous scholastic awards in Law School as well. I am married with two kids and I live in Tierrasanta. My hobbies are football, exercise and traveling when I can.

I found Stephan on Unilocal for my wife, as he had good ratings and I passed on his details. I come home to find my wife upset after the initial phone call with him. She said he was horrible. She described the conversation as condescending, rushed, rude and full of awkward silences. Few minutes later we found a great attorney on Unilocal that coincidentally had mutual friends with us so it worked out well. Could have been a bad day for Stephan, oh well.

Based on Unilocal reviews, I called Steven to inquire about establishing a trust. He answers his own phone. Based on a few simple questions he gives me a quote over the phone. It is thousands below a previous quote. He sets up a free consultation within the week. My wife and I go there and he spends a lot of time explaining the trust process to us. He gives us a questionnaire to take home and fill out. One week later we return. He reviews the questionnaire and we give him half of his fee. Next week we go back to pick up our trust. The whole process took three week. He made it easy to understand, painless and guided us through the decision making associated with setting up a trust. He a very nice man — no sales talk, no BS. Yes, Virginia there an honest Lawyer, and his name is Steven Bliss.

I highly recommend Steve Bliss. He did an excellent job on our living trust and we couldn’t be happier. Don’t look further. Steve is what you need for your estate planning. We did a living a trust very recently with him and he is very professional and knowledgable. Alway address our questions in very timely manner. Painless to make appointment. He even offered us options of off-​business-​hour conference call appointment when we thought we might be unavailable during regular hours.

Highly recommended! I sat down for a consultation with Mr. Bliss regarding filing Chapter 7. After looking over my finances, he actually suggested that I should not file for Bankruptcy at all. Instead Mr. Bliss gave me some great info and suggestions for me to eliminate my debt without bankruptcy. If you are looking for an attorney with integrity look no further!

Since mine was a straightforward situation, the cost was to do this was very reasonable. I called various Estate Planning attorneys this morning with what I felt was a very simple and straight forward inquiry.
Most all of these places wanted me to come in and pay a fee for a consultation or at best offer a free consultation.
I felt that my question and circumstances did not require such a complicated process and felt as if some were trying to take advantage of my situation.
When Google had all but failed me I turned to Unilocal.Never fails.
I called in and was pleasantly both surprised and shocked to hear the attorney answer his own phone.
