Unfortunately I was dissapointed with my appointmnet. I came in because I saw the free blow drying on the door, and even though i came not during the advertised hours for the free service, I was very clear when I asked if I do pay for the service now, if I will be able to still get my free blow dry next week. The answer was yes, and during my appointment I found out that it’s a no, which was really dissapointing to me. First of all it nowhere says that it’s for first time clients only. Second, even if it was, I was clear about the fact that that’s what I wanted to do, so if me getting the first service then would mean I wouldn’t recieve the free blow drying, I would not have gotten that service. Second while I was getting the blow drying, I asked if hair dresser could curl my hair since I thought it was included in blow drying and style service. I was not told that it would be extra, so when I heard that in the middle of her curling my hair, I would have definitely stopped it OR at least could make a consious choice whether or not I want to get it done. Things I liked: I do appreciate the stylist not charging me for the curling at the end. I also appreciate the samples I got and this follow up email. I feel there are things that this salon is definitely doing right. Unfortunately though, my personal experience wasn’t great and being the first time in the salon, and working just a block away, they had a possibility to turn me into the regular customer which did not happen. I hate giving reviews that are not 4 – 5 stars, but hopefully this would be benficial for the owner and they can make some changes.

When I first walked in, it took them a while to notice me(there is only one woman working there). I had to say something out loud for her to notice me, and when she finally did, it was a little bit awkward. She was too overly friendly with me, which can be a good thing, but at the time, it made me a little uncomfortable. I filled out a client card, and then she showed me her selection of feathers. To be honest, I didn’t like any of them. They were all too short(a lot of 4′, and only one packet of 8′), and the colors aren’t to my liking. However, this was my first time getting feather extensions, so I decided to go with a brownish, tannish looking one. I was asking her a lot of questions, as to what color looks good with my super black hair, and she wasn’t being really helpful at all. She gave me really vague answers, agreed with everything I say, and made me feel rushed because another client came in and it made her work faster. While she was parting my hair, her fingers hit my eyes a couple of times and she didn’t even notice. She showed me where she was going to place the feathers, and I told her that my hair is really thick and voluminous, and was wondering if people can still see it. She said yes, and I believed her. WRONG. You can’t see SH*T unless you move my hair around –_____-;;;. I will not be coming back here anytime soon…

Love love love this salon! The owner(Carmen) is amazing at her craft! I came in not knowing what I wanted but knowing I wanted something diffrent and her and her team made it happen! I am in love with my new style! And the customer service was wonderful– they made me feel so special– like I was the only one in there even though I wasn’t! Thanks girls!
