First off I have to say, Tammy, U Da Bomb!!! I’ve been with Storage Etc. for several months now and have had nothing but great experiences. And that’s in large part due to Tammy. I think Tammy could teach a course in customer service because she just does everything right. She is always friendly and personable, and it’s always nice to talk to someone like her when you’ve had a long day. She will do what ever it takes to keep her customers happy. She’s the coolest! With all the competition from other storage companies, Tammy is a big part that gives Storage Etc the edge. She always has a nice smile on her face even though she always seems to be working. Does she ever get a day off? I think she deserves a paid vacation in Europe, because quite frankly she deserves it! Tammy, you go girl! You’re the best!

I was looking for a unit last minute, Robert helped me out very professionally and quick. It worked out. Heard about this place from a friend, clean and accessible.

Tammy at Storge etc. will go to great lengths to be sure you get the best unit at the best price and are happy and satisfied. The storage units are immaculate and the property is secure and accessible. I can’t say enough about my years of rental here. If you want the best– then this is it in my opinion.

The facility is new, clean, and secure. Tammy was of great help in locating a unit that was properly sized and convenient for loading and unloading.

We were in a time crunch and Tammy made us a priority which felt really nice at such a stressful time. She called the other location and made sure our moving truck was ready and waiting for us. Great customer service, high security, and competitive prices.

This was the third storage unit we have used during our relocation to San Diego. This is by far the nicest one. Tammy is always so helpful and professional. The facility is clean and well kept much safer than the first place we used. I wish we would have gone here first! Tried the location because it is close to my work, but now, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I found myself needing additional space beyond the unit I rented a week ago. Tammy, the manager at the Hancock facility was extraordinarily helpful and worked to find the best value of unit to meet my needs and budget. The maintenance person, Teddy, was most helpful showing me how to access all the resources at the site. This is a professionally operated facility, one that cares about the needs of it’s clients. Thank you folks. This has been an excellent experience for me in what could usually be a royal pain.

This was my first experience with a storage company, and one that I am glad to say was positive. From the very beginning they showed exemplary customer service — I wanted a $ 1 first month rent unit and unfortunately the unit I had wanted wasn’t available anymore, which ended up being OK — Tammy was helpful walked me through the facility and showed me the unit I would be renting and said she would honor the $ 1 first months rent with that unit. A lot of the staff who had witnessed movers treat my possessions like garbage informed of what happened and they also didn’t charge me for a violation (the movers had left some items they said they would dump) and gave me time to stop by to properly dispose of the items.
Yes they may be a bit more expensive, but you really do get what you pay for in storage. The cheaper storage places was cheap for a reason (dirty, somewhere where I didn’t want to drive to, and «secure») — this facility was extremely clean (almost shockingly so) and I have no qualms with walking around barefoot. Not a single insect or rat, it didn’t smell in any way (those are some of the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen for this type of facility), and it was obviously secure with how you had to enter the unit. Yes the bathroom situation does kind of suck (you can only use it during office hours), but I was told if it was left open, then the potential for homeless people waiting to be able to get into the unit and spending nights in the facility was very possible. I’ve never struggled with parking and I’ve never had to wait to use a cart. This place also has some of the longest access hours (6am — 9pm) I’ve seen compared with other storage facilities whose access hours are usually the same as the office hours (or they give like an hour leeway before and after). My friend’s storage facility was only open from 7am — 5 pm and most people are getting ready for work or at work during those hours.
Simply put — incredibly clean with long hours with a great staff who actually acknowledge the fact they are providing a service to paying customers and in turn give great customer service. I don’t know who that man is who seems to have turned people off, but I’ve never seen him and if he is in the office then I would wait until Tammy is back (blonde). I should also mention that although I’m not 100% sure and I’ve never asked, I’m almost certain that Tammy is in the office from 9am — 6pm every single day of the week. I’ve gone to the storage unit at all possible hours and all days throughout the week multiple times and without fail if the office was open, she was there and never once has she been grumpy or in a bad mood. I will be back for sure!

I love this place!!! Moved in with a great deal! Very clean! Very secure! And the staff, they are FANTASTIC!!! Especially Tammy! Always willing to help and very nice! I got a move-​in truck free from them to move in and out and back in (a great move incentive). I’ve used them since 2008. Great place!!! Thank you so much for the care!!!

My boyfriend and I move frequently, so we are constantly moving into and out of storage facilities. In the past five years, this is the best one I have been to! The facility is kept clean and tidy. The staff is extremely kind and always welcomes you with a smile. Huge thank you to the manager, Tammi who was patient with us, as we got off work late and arrived at Storage Etc., right before closing! She answered all my questions and did so with such a warm personality. Don’t pay attention to the negative posts on here! Unfortunately, there are always people with a bad attitude and negative mindset.

The facility itself is very clean and neat. They seem to keep everything swept and a very appealing look.
I wish I could say the same about the staff. There is a very rude man who works, manages, or owns this establishment. I inquired on the $ 1 first month advertisement they offer outside the building, and rather then explain otherwise why it’s unavailable, he openly suggested I pay attention to the «asterisk» symbol. Explaining that there is never a unit available that qualifies for that offer. I was shocked to hear this, but was desperate during a move transition.
If you’re able to go elsewhere I strongly suggest it. But, if you’re ok with receiving a lecture on being new to San Diego and the rules that apply, enjoy.
Or, just leave if you see an old disgruntled man sitting around looking useless. Return at another date for what I’m sure could be a pleasant experience.
