I have been doing bodywork for well over a decade. I taught Structural Integration at a local school here is San Diego for 5 years (IPSB). I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in my field with over 2500 hours of training and I receive continuing education on a regular basis.

Rolf Structural Integration is a form of deep myofascial bodywork incorporating movement and posture education. Unlike a massage this work engages the client in their own unique healing process. The client is an active participant during the sessions; embodying a new way of being, feeling and experiencing their body and its environment. In a session we seek more natural alignment in the joints, increased relaxation of connective tissue, a sense of emotional grounding and expansional balance throughout the body. This deep awareness facilitates more ease of use, efficiency in movement and reduces overall tension and discomfort.

I trained under and taught alongside a first generation Rolfer®.

So, this review is years overdue! I was just listening to electronic music and thought of Archie and how I had never written him a review (he likes this kind of music)!
I went to Archie for a series of bodywork sessions a couple years ago, and I can’t recommend him enough! I have had some chronic back and muscular tension issues over the years. His sessions don’t just help you get rid of the pain and tension, but he also teaches you so much about your body, to help you combat and prevent the issues from reoccurring. I learned a lot about posture, how to do exercise, etc… he truly is passionate about helping people. Not to mention he’s also just awesome company and I truly looked forward to seeing him at our appointments.
I had some financial setbacks stop me from continuing to see him, and then I moved out of state… otherwise I would still go in for tune ups! Please if you have chronic issues and nothing seems to help– take some sessions with Archie! You will not be sorry (Archie, sorry I disappeared on you!)!

Archie is amazing and returned me to a pain-​free state after only one session. Prior to going to Archie I struggled with chronic back pain for a few years and nothing including multiple massages, chiropractic treatments or a new mattress helped. Thankfully my husband was familiar with Rolfing and suggested I give it a try. I’ve been going to Archie for a year now and I cannot thank him enough for relieving me of pain, and thereby immensely improving my quality of life.

Okay, so I was taking a risk with rolfing but I’m so glad I did! I was diagnosed with hip labral tear and possible hip impingement in both hips. 6 months ago I was bed ridden and could not walk. I have seen progress with acupuncture, massage, chiro, swimming etc. but it wasn’t till I saw Archie that I had a break-​through! After seeing him, I was able to going from walking very slowly with some joint pain to walking quickly with no joint pain! I have chosen to heal non-​surgically due to the lack of guarantee fix of surgery and I’m so glad I did now. I know I still have a few months+ of recovery time but it’s about the same time even if you do get surgery (granted if successful)! So, I highly recommend Archie for chronic pain. Getting rid of those trigger points in key areas and fixing posture is absolutely key in relieving chronic pain (in addition to nutrition and rest)! I have tried everything to manage my chronic pain. I suffer from scoliosis, a cyst in my lower brain stem and a pinched nerve in my neck. I started seeing Archie 5 weeks ago and what a difference! He is incredibly knowledgable and professional. i was initially scared to go, when I called to schedule my appointment he talked to me for 15 minutes explaining what To expect. I went to my first appointment and felt results. So encouraging. When you live life in constant pain sometimes you begin to feel that it’s a hopeless battle to be comfortable in your own body. I look forward to my weekly appointment because I know how much better I’m going to feel the next day. He really is a miracle worker. NO ONE has ever given me the results that Archie has!!!

I can really see the difference and improvemnt in body. Both my brother and mom have told me that I look talller. I had noticed this myself prior to them mentioning it. I recently bungee jumped and my brother said the jump must have stretched me out LOL.
Archie is amazing at what he does! I almost feel like if other things have helped heal due to the work.

I had an inflame wrist that became tendonitis, for over 8 months. Three different doctors, a variety of drugs, techniques and no one could fix me.
I was starting to lose faith and then I went to see Archie.
When I first went to see him. I was suffering of a lot of pain, I couldn’t hold a glass or do any basic movements with my hand.
After my second session, I could feel the great improvement. Today I’m pain free and back to doing yoga! Thank You!!!
I’m so grateful!!! If you have any pain, I’d recommend Archie.

Archie does great work at competitive prices. I have been to many massage therapists for pain relief, but Structural Integration is the only therapy that has really made a lasting, tangible impact. As a professional actor and singer, I use my body as a huge part of my daily work and keeping it in tune, relaxed and in alignment is vital, and Archie helps me do that.

Archie is WONDERful! Really. As far a structural integration goes– this guy knows his stuff. He has a way to «read» the body and see where alignment needs adjusting. His work is deep– but good, in a way that I explain to my clients as a «good squishing.» He gives follow up exercises to hold the changes you worked on in your session with him. I am bodyworker and as well and recommend clients to Archie when I know they’ll benefit from his amazing work!
Overall, Archie is great and very professional. I give him 5 stars for sure!

Before I came to Archie I had been living with chronic neck pain for over ten years. With weekly sessions I have been able to almost completely eliminate my neck problems. Archie has been able to help in ways that no one else has ever been able to before. Doctors, pain relievers, chiropractors and massage therapy all have been helpful for many years but could never get me to where I am today. His work is amazing and now when I have pain I can usually get the problem fixed in a single session.

My session with Archie today was fantastic! I learned that I walk and stand with my knees hyper extended and walk more on my toes than my heals, along with other insightful information. I’ve been carefully walking around without extending my knees and being mindful my heels and it feels so much more fluid. I just tried walking like I am used to for a few seconds and pain instantly shot through my hips (ouch!) and I noticed how badly I am arching my back too. I learned so much about my body and am confidant I am on my way to a healthy recovery after my sciatica injury.

I had been having intense pain for one year throughout my hamstrings whenever I jogged or even walked for over 30 min. After going to numerous physical therapists, massage therapists and normal Mds, I decided to try Rolfing. I went to Archie about once a week (8 sessions total) It was not relaxing, but therapeutic. I starting noticing results after just a couple sessions and now im back to running and living an active lifestyle pain free. It is such a relief to know that I dont have to live with pain.

Archie is the most well trained Rolfers I have worked with over the years. I have been recieving rolfing, a specific type of body work that works on releasing the fascia of the body, for over 12 years. Archie is amazing. I send him my patients when they have a structural issue that needs healing and he compliments my Acupuncture treatments prefectly.
Anytime I have pain in my body, Archie is able to get it and make it disappear in a session or three, he is great, I recommend him highly!

It was ok. To be honest he’s got strong hands and knows how to give you a good stretch and massage but from I read on his reviews from fellow Unilocalers I expected much more like a overal holistic aproach and so went I went in he had me stand in front of him front side and back to review my stance he observed and then proceeded to give me a massage and a stretch and not much more. To which left me to wonder why did I pay so much for a regular massage and some advice on how not to stand or to possibly change my pillow. Sorry wish I could say better but I feel like my Unilocalers let me down this time.

I’ve been a client of Archie’s for about 2 years now. I had a lot of posture issues that were resolved with the structural integration work — in fact, I grew between ¼−½″ in the first year of my treatment. He is an excellent bodywork practitioner and I highly recommend his services without reservation to anybody who is looking to get this type of therapy.
Archie is young guy but is extremely experienced and knowledgeable in his field. I don’t mean to insult anybody here, but this is not a guy who became a top notch rolf/​structural integration practitioner because he could not hold down a regular job. This is the career he chose at a young age and he has some amazing talent in my opinion.
Besides the actual treatment, Archie runs his business in an extremely professional and organized fashion. He returns phone calls and emails in a prompt fashion and maintains notes and records and each and every patient. He starts his appointments on time.
In summary, Archie offers the best of both worlds — extreme skill when it comes to treatment and utmost professionalism when it comes to running his business. If you want this type of treatment without any hassle, then give him a call. His prices are competitive and very fair.

I recently moved to upstate New York and I have to say there are a few things I miss about living in Southern California, and Archie’s work is one of them! I have been fortunate enough to receive Rolfing and Structural Integration from some of the best practitioners from Colorado to California and I would say that Archie’s bodywork is top notch!
