Established in 1976.

We are Allegiance Dental, a general dentistry practice located in your neighborhood that has been serving San Diego families for more than 25 years. We value oral health and provide individuals with a comfortable environment to address any of their dental needs. Together we work towards your oral health goals and achieve the smile you desire.

Dr. Stuart T. Tani attended SDSU where he earned his BS in Biology in 1980. He continued his education at UCLA School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS in 1984.

Dr. Tani has brought together a staff of caring professionals who love what they do. They are a family at Allegiance Dental, patients can see the care they have for one another, the respect and professionalism that is projected continuously. Everyone at Allegiance Dental wants to help our patients create healthy, beautiful smiles in a great friendly atmosphere.

I just had my third appointment at Dr. Tani’s office and am continually pleased with the service I get. Everyone is very welcoming and attentive. Jennifer, the dental hygienist, does an excellent job and really made me feel comfortable through what can sometimes be an uncomfortable visit. I always feel like I am getting honest review and have never felt like I was being sold anything. Going to the dentist isn’t often at the top anyone’s favorite things to do but Dr. Tani and his staff do an excellent job of making it into a great experience. Definitely go and check them out & take care of your teeth!

Dr. Tani is the man! Really glad I found this place after trying out a few different dental offices in San Diego. The office is clean and the staff is very accommodating. Jennifer is awesome! I like that they are very transparent on treatment costs and dont try to upsell you on stuff you do not absolutely need. They genuinely care about their patients. I will always recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist. Keep up the great work!

It took me 15 years of living in San Diego to find the best dentist and dental office ~ Everyone is fantastic and happy and they’re not trying to oversell and push anything on you. Straightforward, honest, professional and a downright pleasure to visit — Yes I am a person that actually likes going to the dentist but after the shenanigans I’ve seen in this town with dentists I would try to visit I have to say my level of gratitude runs deep in knowing that there are still these type of people running businesses ~ One’s that care about what they do and it shows.

I have been coming to Dr. Tani for about 8 years and I will not being going anywhere. I first came in for a filling that had came out from a prior dentist. They fixed me up and put a crown on the tooth. Dr Tani and the rest of the staff are awesome. Very nice and puts you at ease.

Awesome team. I called to get a chipped tooth fixed and they took me in that same day and fixed the issue. Thats what I call great immediate service. Tooth looks good and can go about my day. I would recommend Dr. Stuart Tani.

I have been wanting to write this review for a while, but I keep forgetting. While looking around for a reputable dentist that my crappy insurance covers, I found mostly 1 and 2 star dentists on the HMO list. I was relieved to find a good dentist that was covered! I have always had good experiences with Allegiance Dental, and the staff is simply wonderful! I highly recommend them to everyone, for both great dental work and awesome staff. After you become a regular, they treat you like family. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now!

Dr. Tani is awesome. He provides honest and caring dental advice. His entire office staff is always friendly and professional. He helped me save hundreds of dollars of unnecessary dental work compared to another dentist. Dr. Tani wasn’t out to take my money but genuinely cared about my needs.

Just came for my check in and cleaning. I’m pretty sure I found my new dental home in SD (previously lived in Orange County up until college move to SD).
Pros: really clean office and exceptionally knowledgeable staff who are friendly !
cons: they’re super booked unless you can fill in one of their newly available slots due to someone cancelling. but scheduling wise they seem very accommodating with everyone’s time or priorities of that week.
favorite part about my visit: Jennifer ! she’s so personable and pretty :)

I came to Dr Tani’s office after a bad experience at another office. I was frustrated and worried I wouldn’t get a trouble tooth taken care of, much less just a pleasant teeth cleaning.
However, the receptionists and hygienists immediately made me realize this experience would be very different. I’ve now been coming to this office for more than a year. I have been through two cleanings, as well as having a root canal and crown done. Every visit was wonderful. Dr. Tani is knowledgable and funny. He and his staff always remember me.

I have never had the pleasure of having a good dentist like Dr Tani and his staff! I went for the first time 2 years ago when I first moved to San Diego and I was totally stressed about about some personal issues in my life. Dr Tani and his fabulous staff could sense I was a bit uneasy and they inquired with «how are things really going for you?». Dr Tani and his staff really cared about my whole well being, not just my teeth. I feel at ease with the excellent dentist. I recommend all my friends as I didn’t know it was possible to actually like your dentist :)

I’m very pleased with Dr. Tani and the back office staff, and that’s whom the stars are for. I don’t appreciate the constant Spanish speaking between the front office staff. I too speak other languages and understand what they are saying. I’ve always found this to be rude wherever I’ve gone. Unless you’re translating or assisting someone who doesn’t speak English, there’s no need.

Never could I have imagined that going to the dentist could be a pleasurable experience. That was before I started going to Dr. Tani’s office upon reading good Unilocal reviews. The staff is incredibly friendly and sociable, while professional and efficient. They fixed my cracked filling so quickly and painlessly. Not much more could be said about this place. They’re great in all regards.
If you’re one of those people who is afraid of the dentist, come here. Dr. Tani and his staff will change your mind.

Dr. Stuart and his staff are simply awesome! I found them on Unilocal and all the other 5 star reviews couldn’t be more true. I came here on 2 occasions: one for just my regular check up and the other for a cavity.
They did a great job on my cleaning and gave me some great tips on what I can do at home. Oh and at the end, they gave me a 1 Direction toothbrush!!!
My cavity filling went by quick and was not painful at all! By far the best experience I had. Dr and staff continuously kept me updated with what they were doing, which is great… I don’t like being left in the dark.
Needless to say, I will keep them as my go-​to dentist! Highly recommend!
