Tucking, squeezing, planking are just a few movements that will keep you shaking (in a good way) through this class!
I’ve always enjoyed a good day at the Barre and this place delivered. Challenging workout, upbeat music, great facility with hardwood floors and newer equipment. I was told they do a similar routine each quarter which is a good way to master each move variation.
Remember to bring your grippy socks! I forgot mine and had to do everything short of grovel at the front desk to borrow a pair. I didn’t need another $ 15 addition to my barre sock collection! …and yes, my bad for forgetting!
I’d love for this studio to have a few more connections/​corrections/​adjustments in the class. Overall, I got a great workout and will try this place out again!

Best barre classes in San Diego! I have been to a lot of barre classes, and so far this studio has the most interesting, fun, and challenging classes. The instructors are really friendly and know how to fit choreography to music, all the while keeping the energy way up!
The studio itself is adorable: Clean, bright, and with some great merchandise for sale. Also, it has wood floors which I like soooo much better than the carpeting that is at a lot of studios.

Went here last night for my very first Unilocal event. It’s a cute barre studio, very clean, as if you’re walking into a spa…
The ladies working were friendly. Jeska, our «barre tender» (instructor) was fun and upbeat. She focused on us and helped us with our technique whenever help was needed. The music went well with the workout.
They have loaner grippy socks if you need it. But also great products for sale in their lobby.
Street parking, can be a bit tough, but I read somewhere that you can use chase bank parking lot after hours. As well as vons, if you make a purchase.
A great first time experience doing barre! it’s not quite high impact, but definitely focuses on toning and sculpting. within the first few minutes, my legs felt like jelly and I was sore (a good sore) that night and the next day.

I just took my first barre class at Studio Barre and it was great! I am a barre veteran and have taken classes all over (Pure Barre, Bar Method, Studio 59) but this was really great because the teacher made the class so fun! Usually the teachers are very proper (like refer to you booty as your seat) but the teacher here keeps it real! It is much easier to fight the burn and power through when you’re laughing! I think I left with swan arms, a Perrier booty, and feeling great!
The studio itself is cute and small. There is one studio and it’s pretty intimate. There is also a mini boutique with cute leggings and tanks.
Parking tip: there is a parking lot on Front and Washington (just south of Washington) and it’s only 50 cents an hour and there are about 30 spots. Way easier than street parking!

Most barre studios I walk into the receptionist can be cold & the teacher doesn’t introduced herself.
This studio the receptionist greeted me warmly, the teacher was funny & friendly & super hard. Lauren was a great teacher and kept me motivated!

I have been going to studio barre in mission hills for about 7 months now and am finally getting around to writing a review. This place is the BEST!!! I lost 30lbs and my body posture has changed for the better! A lot of people ask me what I did to get in shape and I not only talk about the fabulous barre workout but the phenomenally passionate and talented staff at this studio. They offer not only a hard workout but also spend time correcting posture, teaching new variations/​modifications for routines, and are intentional in helping members understand barre method and what muscle groups we are aiming to sculpt with each routine. Barre workouts at this studio have changed my outlook on getting in shape and I truly look forward to each class with my fit family :)

This place is great! I loved the class I took Thursday morning. While my mom and I are currently Wildfire Fitness members and decided to give the studio a try. The class was challenging and has great energy!
The instructor was easy going and had a great presence which made for a nice experience. I always appreciate a group fitness class that find ways to modify moves for your level and this studio was good about accommodating us all. I really appreciated the Kerig coffee and almonds that were complimentary, they were just the energy boost I needed after class!
The only down fall for my was the parking, I’m not sure if it is acceptable to park in the Vons lot but if it is I would say swoop one of those, otherswise you’re going to be circling the block for some time.

This studio is pretty awesome. Really nice staff, everyone is super friendly and engages in conversation. This studio always provides a great workout and every instructor that I have had is fun and super helpful. The studio holds about 10 people so the classes are always nice and intimate, meaning you get a lot of help especially when you don’t fully want to do an exercise completely hahaja :)

I am not at all flexible or graceful and have tried many barre classes and studios in order to try gain strength, stability and flexibility. Studio barre is my favorite. I feel welcomed and encouraged (rather than judged) even though I will never be able to shift into the splits. I can touch my toes now though! :)
Jeska B. and Lauren W. always teach great classes, and all of the staff and teachers are friendly and welcoming. It’s easy to get hooked on studio barre! Classes are challenging and fun and I feel a good soreness the next day.

This isn’t in my typical neck of the woods, but a friend lives down the street so I come here every few weeks. I’ve taken Jeska’s class every time, and you really do not leave disappointed from her! I love her hands on, upbeat approach.
The workout itself is typically legs and abs, though they do get some arm stuff in there. Not much cardio, but a lot of strength. They change the main workouts quarterly, so if you go regularly you can memorize pieces of the workout which is actually nice.
The studio is clean and spacious (though it does fill up on the weekends!). Parking isn’t too bad, though I did get stuck at a metered spot right outside of the studio today (Saturday). The customer service is great, and best of all they are on Classpass!

I took my first ever barre class today at 12:15pm, it’s 12 hours later and after that and walking in new heels all evening, all I can I say is… wow I’m sore! It’s a good sore and it feels good to know I worked different muscles compared to what I usually do.
I’ve been looking for a new workout, I’ve been to Barry’s Bootcamp which I like and will continue to do but it’s intense and there isn’t much instruction. I danced for many years and a friend recommended I try a barre class. This morning I turned to Unilocal and researched barre classes in my area, a few came up but this one had great reviews, is close to my place and when I called, the gal said they had plenty of parking or they’ll give you quarters for meters… I was sold!
I walked in and first off, the studio is absolutely gorgeous. From crown molding to Pinterest styled wallpaper in addition to gorgeous photos, sheik wood floors and great mirrors, I knew it felt like a great place to join. They even offer their customers tea and coffee from the Keurig and offer first time customers a class at no charge.
I took from Laurie the owner and she really gave me a great workout. I also received quite a bit of «attention» aka corrections as I came in the afternoon on a week day, it’s obviously less crowded than at 5pm class. I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into and after the warm up I was thinking, can we be done:). But honestly we worked every muscle and different muscles compared to what I do with a trainer in the gym. I could see how you could have great muscle definition if you took this often. It was fun too and it wasn’t a workout I was dreading to get over, okay I was pleased when I was done because I was sore as it was my first time but I was enjoying myself.
She also played fabulous music, I came in thinking it would be classical ballet type of music but she had all the top current hits!
Overall great workout, beautiful studio, clean equipment, and has that «homely» type of feeling, it doesn’t seem like a huge chain. I’m not an instructor or a trainer but if you’re looking to loose weight I don’t know if this would be something to shed pounds, you’d definitely want to have a cardio routine on separate days from this. For me personally, I’m not looking to loose weight, have a few days of cardio planned into my week and really am just looking to tone more, so this is a perfect class to integrate into my current fitness plan.

Okay if Jeska taught all the classes, I’d give it a 5. Plus they just took it off of Fitn so I am depressed.
This review is really for Jeska. She deserves 10 stars. She has been the only instructor (not solely at this studio) that has given me adjustments and cared for the fact that I was very pregnant in all of her classes. She has a great sense of humor and style about her. I am soooo sad I won’t be able to go to her anymore.

This studio is great.
The workouts leave you feeling sore and tired but acomplished. The instructors are awesome. Best barre studio around!

I waited a long time to write this review. Not because I wasn’t impressed with them as soon as I took my first class (I was), but because I wanted to see how they measure up with the other barre classes in town.
Because I live close to Pop Physique, they were my studio of choice when I first signed up for ClassPass. However, because ClassPass doesn’t allow you to go to one studio more than 3x a month, I was forced to explore other options. This was when I discovered Studio Barre.
WOW, was I ever impressed. My first class was with Andrea. I really love her energy. After a few workouts with them, they quickly became my barre studio of choice.
Again, because of ClassPass, I could only go 3x per month to this studio, so I again had to venture out. I tried PureBarre as well as The Bar Method. Let me tell you that the barre class at Studio Barre is hands down the best one.
The energy is outstanding, the teachers are great (my favorite one is Jeska, she’s AMAZING!), and the facility is beautiful.
At first I thought every barre class is the same. While the theory is practically the same, the classes are all very different. NOT ALL BARRE CLASSES ARE CREATED EQUAL!
Studio Barre comes up on top as the best studio for me. So fun, so different, the teachers rock, and the amenities are top notch.
I wish they had a monthly membership of $ 100/month…I’d quit classpass and devote myself completely to them!

What a great studio and a workout! The place is clean, modern and cozy. Staff is friendly and happy to assist and the owner Laurie is often there to make sure everybody is happy.
This is a boutique-​style workouts with personable approach and lovely ambience.
You will find ladies of all ages. So it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a pro. They make everybody feel welcome and comfortable. Pop in and check out their specials to try out a class.

One of my resolutions this year was to spice up my work out routines so that I actually wanted to get fit, actually looked forward to my time focusing on being healthy and actually have fun doing it. Studio Barre was the first on my list to give a whirl and it keeps me coming back for more!
The classes involve isolating certain muscles and doing repetitive motions. BUT, they jam music, have upbeat trainers and there’s lots of laughs through the pain. The class cycles from the mat, to the bar and back. You use a dodge ball to hold at various points to help train your focus on certain areas.
Love this studio and parking is a breeze at the Vons center!

I first went to Studio Barre through ClassPass, and after taking classes at several other barre studios, SB is my favorite by far.
The studio is adorable, clean, and inviting, with snacks and coffee for you while you wait for class to start.
Class sizes are a good size where instructors can give corrections throughout and you always have enough room and personal space for all the moves.
All the instructors are fun and energetic, no two classes are the same, and they play great music. The workout is HARD but with the music, choreography, and different moves, it goes by fast!
I would recommend this studio to EVERYONE. Can’t say enough good things about SB :)

I love Studio Barre! I’m new to barre and felt so welcomed at Studio Barre and received great instruction! I love taking Jeska’s classes!
The studio is beautiful and has hard wood floors and lots of mirrors which is so necessary for barre. Classes are also never overcrowded so you really feel like you getting one on one instruction.
The owner of the studio is so sweet and makes new students feel very welcomed and right at home. I can’t wait to take more classes at Studio Barre!

I have been trying to find a workout that I actually look forward to, and this Studio Barre offers just that. Instructors are amazing and the classes are high-​energy and, while brutal (only in the best way!), a lot of fun! I had never been to a barre class before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a tad addicting.
I have been taking classes for a month now and I love how challenging and rewarding the classes are. I already feel stronger and more confident and I look foward to seeing more long-​term results as I continue going.
HIGHLY recommend!
