Mike Basso Sr., a boating enthusiast with experience in the marine industry dating back to 1969, opened the first Sun Country Marine dealership in 1989.

Sun Country Marine soon became the best selling boat and yacht dealership in the region, while earning regional, national and global awards for sales and customer satisfaction.

Today, Sun Country Marine has successfully grown to 6 dealerships throughout the southwest as a family-​held business with Mike Basso Jr. at the helm.
