Love Sunny’s Deli! I normally get their breakfast burrito which is super good! The people working there are the sweetest and always make me feel welcome when I come here. They also have a Soup of the day, I tried their chicken and vegetable soup and I loved it! Really good flavors and perfect for when it’s a little more cold outside :)

A complete rip off. Ordered a breakfast burrito and it was advertised to come with bacon, avocado, sour cream, potatoes, egg and cheese. What I was a burrito with soggy mashed potato, cheese and egg white wrapped in a tortilla. Nothing else. I paid almost $ 7.00 for this! Called back and the lady told me she needed to talk to the man before she could do anything. How this place is in business still is beyond me. Terrible customer service and ripping off paying customers.

This place is delicious and cheap. It’s not a fancy sandwich place it is what it is: Delicious sandwiches and soup at an absurdly low price. Cheesesteak and Reuben are amazing.

I’ve come here twice because it’s close to my office, and each time I’ve left disappointed. This is a little hole-in-the-wall place with nice service, but the sandwiches are fairly mediocre and they don’t seem to understand the terms«light mayo» or «light mustard». You will basically get a sandwich that is swimming in mayo and mustard so that you can’t even taste anything else. Aside from that, the selection is small and there are not a lot of options to choose from. Would not recommend this place to others.

A lot of people complain about the prices and food but what do you expect from an establishment at an office building who’s only competition is the mall down the street over a mile away? If you work in the building and you don’t have time to get food your only option is this place so they can get away with high prices. The only thing I would agree with is that their prices are not the same. I get the same sandwich every time and it’s a gamble of what price my sandwich will cost. The food is good for an office building deli but more importantly the family that owns it is so nice. They always remember my name and are super friendly.

Office complex deli. Stopped in for lunch and ordered one of the daily specials: a turkey ham panini. This is what I got: Not exactly a panini, which to me indicates that it has been pressed and toasted — while this was more pressed and grilled on a fry surface. It was good(and a bit greasy). Nice mix of so-so meat, cheese and other toppings made it a hot good sandwich, though not a panini. I got an apple on the side, which cost $ 1.50. A buck and a half for a piece of fruit seemed a bit high. They do have free wifi — just ask for the password

I went there today for lunch, to tell you the truth it was not what I thought it would be. I ordered a Turkey Club with Bacon. To my surprise there was only 3 pieces of what they call turkey. I looked like the turkey was from a pre-cut piece of turkey,(like subway). It was real nasty. As for the bacon, I think it was in there somewhere. So a turkey sandwich and a bottle of water $ 8.25. that is what I call WTF, Highway robbery. Oh by the way, becareful, I wanted a bag of chips and the bag is marked $ 1.09 ok. I go to the register and the lady rings up the chips and tells me $ 1.25 I said the bag says $ 1.09 why is it $ 1.25? Oh the $ 1.09 is what we pay to get it… Bull Sh** if its marked that is what you should pay. Trust me I will never go back unless they get new people in the deli… If I could give you(0) stars I would.

The food was average, but the service was bad. 3 of us from the office went here and we were jacked on the price. 2 $ 4.99 sandwiches + tax(8%) = $ 10.78, not $ 11.80 Also $ 2.50 for a 20oz soda and $ 0.45 for using debit or credit?! No way are we going back. It’s cheaper to go anywhere else.

One of my favorite sandwich spots in SD! I drive all the way from La Jolla for these delicious toasted sandwiches. Everything is well balanced and they’re huge. And quite inexpensive as well :)

I have ordered only because the location & they deliver BUT, I have fallen in love with the Club Deluxe sandwich! Seriously, the BEST! Ordered a few more times and prices changes daily and very disappointed on the sandwich I ALWAYS order. Don’t think i’ll be ordering from here again.

This Deli is straight up NASTY! Everything they serve is drenched in grease and usually made with items you could easily purchase at your local grocery store. Not only do they charge inconsistantly, they also charge you a fee to use your credit card/ATM card which is not posted. The fee also fluctuates from .25 to .75. I am surprised that anyone even goes here! The only thing they have going for them is they are located in my office building… but really, I’d rather eat sushi from a gas station… I would probally have less of a chance there of contracting botchulism than at this place. DONOTEATHERE!!!

Ordered a simple tuna salad and was quite disappointed to find a piece of hair on the tomato in the salad while eating. When approached the woman at the register to let her know, she replied with attitude tone in her voice by saying«what do you want me to do about it?» We requested a replacement salad and she thankfully provided. We were grateful & appreciative for the replacement. However, unfortunately after several bites in to the second, new salad it also turned out to have hair on the lettuce deep within the salad. Eeek! Scary and left feeling a little sick after being so grossed out. When we informed management of the second incident, the reply was«odd, this has never happened to us before.» Highly unlikely to be true. No apology nor compensation offered. We will definitely not be back nor recommend this deli to others. Ran out of time for lunch and left still hungry. Darn!

I stopped in for a quick sandwich to go because of the location. I ordered the grilled chicken breast sandwich in a pita + sliced avocado(hold the mayo). I expected at the price($ 6.95) it would be decent or at least meet the description: «Grilled chicken breast, swiss cheese, sprouts, lettuce, tomatoes.» Unfortunately, that was not the case. The«chicken breast» was a flimsy, spongy, watered-down little slab of processed, frozen chicken meat product. Watery chicken, Yuck! The«swiss cheese» was also a highly processed thing so tasteless and greasy that I mistook it for mayonnaise. The«sliced avocado» that I’d paid 95 cents extra for was maybe a teaspoon of avocado spread so thin under the white stuff that I looked for it and did not realize it was there. The sprouts were nonexistent. On the plus side, the pita was soft and fresh, and the iceberg lettuce was crisp. After taking 2 bites, thinking it was full of mayo(which I had said to hold), with no cheese, avocado or sprouts, I decided to return and ask for my money back. I would have just asked for a new sandwich but I didn’t have time at that point. I never do this, but 4 mistakes, 1 sandwich, come on. At that point I was told there was definitely no mayo: the white goo was cheese, the avocado was in fact there if you looked carefully enough, and she had left out the sprouts because they didn’t have any(which would’ve been nice to know ahead of time because that was part of the reason I ordered that particular sandwich… at least she could’ve offered to substitute another ingredient). So I threw it out. Gross. Waste of time and $ 7.

We seem to have started calling Sunny’s Deli, A.O.P.D.(Arbitrarily over-priced deli) because everytime we go in there the prices have changed. I think they just guess what the cost of everything is. If the food weren’t so tasty(most of the time) and weren’t so conveniently located to my office, I would skip this place… But, it IS so closr to my office, and the food IS tasty… so… Sunny, I’ll see you tomorrow!
