The Home Depot

Store is well organized and easy to navigate. I was having trouble at other Home Depots trying to find what I needed. I came here and still had some difficulty. My experience was made considerably better after working with Terran. He went out of his way to find what we were looking for and was very knowledgeable in regards to the items in stock. He was able to make it affordable and he even went and retrieved our purchase. He is an outstanding associate and I wish there were more like him. Truly made our visit a very pleasant one. He is the epitome of true customer service and deserves a raise.

Waited for 30 minutes to get someone to cut some wire nobody came so I left, this place suck when you need someone to cut wire all the time

Home Depot came to my rescue when I needed to get some paint. I tried to get paint at Walmart using a paint chip my sister chose from them but after wasting an hour to only find out that their machine wasn’t working at the time, I went to Home Depot after researching they sold the same shade here. Home Depot was done after 5 – 10 minutes for both cans of paint.

I went to return a cheap weed wacker and I did not have the receipt, I waited there 30 min just to get denied. I just wanted one that works I did not want the cash back.
If they cannot take crappy stuff they sell back they shouldn’t sell items that don’t last

Went back today and customer service was through the roof. Hopefully this isn’t just a weekend occurrence.
I was greeted outside the door, inside the door, and offered assistance inside the store.
The only somewhat negative thing I have to say is Alejandra needs to learn how to hand people their change and receipt. Coins into the customer’s hand first, then receipt and bills on top of that. But I got change. Then a minute later bills. Then a minute later receipt. All while being handed my bag of item so it was all just fumbly. This is an issue I have *everywhere* though.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. But coming in on a Sunday afternoon, and watching Charles get pulled every which way and still delivering the best service he could provide compelled me to write a review.
I came in looking for screws, a certain width and certain length (there’s literally billions haha) Charles was helping someone else when I approached him. He told me where to go and to keep an eye peeled for someone to help, but he would come and see if I still needed assistance. Mere minutes later Charles was helping me the best he could (turns out, gardening was his department, so hardware wasn’t exactly his specialty). While he was helping he got called over the PA system and continued to assist me (letting the person know via phone he would be with them shortly) and he didn’t leave me alone until someone from hardware took over.
A+++ in customer courtesy! I couldn’t be more pleased with the attentiveness of the staff!

I complain to the manager and he gave us a discount and try to fix the wood but we wait for him more than 20 minutes.
Something that it was just for 20 min at the end we wait more than one hour!!!

I give it 3 stars for convenience since I live nearby. Some staff know their stuff and other staff can be totally clueless. It’s been a hit and miss since I been coming here. Sometimes it can be intimidating in the store as so many pros come here for their goods and you don’t know where to begin.

Ridiculously slow return line with employees who have bad attitudes.
I can never get any other help throughout the store. There seems to be no one with any expertise or willingness to assist customers.
Why is this such a challenge?
I used to enjoy my home improve projects now I need to drive to the other store.

I’ve gone to many Home Depots in my life. Never had any particular problems with any of the associates except with one at this particular HD. So, I go into the store to purchase Melamine White Iron tape in the ¾″ x 25ft roll. I did eventually find the home for the merchandise and I had asked an associate in the wood working area if this was the only area where I would find this tape. He said Yes, and proceeded with his work. I look around for the ¾″ tape — I was only able to find 13/​16″ tape, But I did find a home for the ¾″ tape… but it was empty.
I kindly ask another associate if he knew if there was more ¾″ melamine iron on tape… he rudely says «No, there is no such thing as ¾» melamine tape. Did you go to school? You must have gone to school if want such a specific tape” I give him a puzzled look. I do tell him, «Yes, I did go to school» and he laugh… and says «All of you kids who go to school always want a specific size and then he says, we don’t even sell ¾″ thick wood. It is probably ¹⁵⁄₁₆.» I give him another puzzled look and said…“Well, I purchased ¾″ x 4ft x 8ft melamine wood, So, I was hoping there would be a tape that would accommodate the thickness”. He then spouts about how in the construction industry not everything is exact (Which I understand… I come from an Engineering background and I know there are tolerances involved, but it should be fairly close since the manufacturer probably uses a laser cutter) .
As he walks me over to the home where the tape was located, he says. «Look, 13/​16″ = ¾″ tape. He said they are exactly the same. I had to stop him there. as ¹³⁄₁₆ = 0.8125″ and ¾ = 0.75″. He kept refuting the tape and how they are the same size… then he tries to give me recommendations on how I could make it ¾″ thick! I abruptly stop him and tell him…“There is a home that is empty that says you sell ¾″ melamine tape, I was just wondering if there was any more in the back.».he then says…“Ohh.maybe I am wrong…” he then gets a bit hostile and tries to test my knowledge, saying I should use a reamer to trim it down… I till him how is it going to trim my tape. He then says…“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT A REAMER IS HUH? HAHAHA. IT WILL WORK, THAT’S HOW ITS DONE.” I end up just telling him, «You, know what… it’s okay. And played it all off.»
This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received. EVER. Needless to say, I will not be going to this location anymore. I would rather drive to Lemon Grove to meet my needs. Their customer service and recommendations have always been excellent.

If you are doing any home improvements this is the place to be.
They carry just about everything you could want to repair,
build or beautify your home.
All types of lumber, paints and paint supplies, all hardware items (nails, screws, tools etc).
Doors, lighting fixtures, carpet, large appliances, dirt, bricks,
flowers, flower pots etc.
During the holiday season they carry Christmas decorations: trees, lights etc.
They carry everything you need and things you didn’t know you needed.
This store is organized, it’s clean, and checkout is fast and efficient.
My only negative is the lack of sales people on the floor.
I have shopped here on different days of the week and the customer service is about the same. For the most part you will always have to find someone to assist you. The store is large and it can be annoying when you must leave one area of the store to track down and employee working in another area of the store to get assistance. This seems to happen every time I shop here.
Overall, I enjoy shopping here especially in the garden section but the experience could be better if more floor staff were available.

I was at Home Depot today and I have to say that I’m very impress with their service. I walked in feeling lost because I didn’t even know what I needed for my gas stove and Ricky from appliances help me out. He filled me in on what I needed to know and how to connect my gas stove. Ricky’s willingness to help a lost customer has gained him a loyal customer, thank you Home Depot.

Always come to this Home Depot. I have no complaints. Not everyone here always knows what they’re talking about, but I know they do go through specific training for the department they’re assigned to. The people here are always pleasant, I haven’t have a bad experience. They don’t have TONS of stuff in the garden, especially compared to nurseries, but it beats driving to the closest Armstrong Garden Center over on Friars in Mission Valley/​Grantville area.
My most recent experience was two days ago. We went to get some soil/​compost for our vegetable garden and the stuff we wanted was completely out of stock out on the floor. Asked around and found out they had just received more in the back. The first girl we talked so said they were going to bring it out later tonight… uhhhh, we wanted it right then and there? Found another guy and he was able to get them from the back for us and even helped us load it up in the car! Thanks Alex. You were amazing!

I went to Home Depot for tape and ended up leaving with a project. Though it took some time for me to get help, the employees were very friendly and helpful!

5 star because they always have good music! Hahaha… I mean every trip to this location takes me back to when I was young and listening to Boys2Men (Motown Philly) lol!
No, but customer service is good, we had Alex (I believe that was his name) help us with some questions and finding a product Great service.

We went to the Home Depot to get our Christmas tree. We first went to the SportsArena location, but the line was outrageous! We left & came to this location. We should have come here from the start!
Jose & then Shardae/​Chardea (sp?), were beyond great! They helped us pick out the freshest tree. Cutting open trees that were still tied up with string, shaking them out for us then hauling it up to the front to get a fresh cut! They even helped us get it on the roof of the car! Thank you too, to Ricco for helping to secure it for safety! This Home Depot has a great team & customer service!
I’ll come back next year for my tree again!
We come to this frequently throughout the year, but this now my number 1 Home Depot!

This Home Depot location is not too shabby. The customer service is ok. it seemed only a couple employees would pass by and acknowledge me, some were busy singing or looking away to pretend I wasn’t there so maybe they wouldn’t have to talk to me. But in a store as huge as this with just so much to choose from, it’s important to know that the store takes the initiative to make sure that if you need help, you’ll get it. Unfortunately, this Home Depot doesn’t rank that high in my book for its customer service. Overall, even without the great customer service, I would say if you’re looking for some hardware and you’re in the area, I would suggest coming here. You may have to venture around or track down an employee for help but Home Depot is always a good place to go if you are looking to do your own work around the house.

I am not a big Home Depot type of gal. I rarely take on projects that need actual tools and require any sort of know how. Because I do not have any «know how.» I am almost willfully «know nothing» when it comes to any manual labor.
I blame my parents.
I hit up the gardening area which is large. For my needs I felt the selection was limited. I could only fine perlite from Miracle Grow. I am trying to be as organic as possible so I will have to rinse it before use.
Soil meters were standard. I was a little peeved that they do not put all the options by each other. I initially picked up an expensive one but later found a cheaper one hidden in a corner shelf.
The lighting area is large but again the selection wasn’t very good. I also picked up a lightbulb box that had some sort of clear goo on it that smelled like perfume. Totally freaked me out and the entire time I shopped I was worrying about what I had put my paw in.
Overall this place covers basic needs but could have better organization. I will say that two people working there tried to help me. That was nice of them and unexpected in a large store like this.

This is definitely the working man’s Home Depot. No frills, fancy, home stuff, the customers are contractors and builders. Probably not going back here unless I need advice or to find a handy man.
That said, it feels like what a Home Depot should feel like, a builder’s warehouse. And while I might not be the target audience, any paint/​concrete/​etc., splattered person who just needs to get in, and grab what they need to do their job and not be surrounded by moseying housewives looking for a blender is going to be completely at home.
Also, they were out of something I needed and when I walked up to grab it, another guy was having the same problem, so instead of the 4 wall anchors I needed for $ 1, I got 20 for $ 1 (instead of $ 6). Score.

Picking up a ShopVac
TONS of day workers hanging outside this particular Home Depot.
Can’t go wrong here. I hit them up for anything from Bug Spray to Power Tools to Screen door fixtures and air fresheners.
