History

Established in 2013.

As a boy I was always curious about the world around me and had an insatiable appetite for learning. I still remember the excitement I felt the first day of school, wondering about all the new things I would learn.

What I soon discovered was overcrowded classrooms that were noisy and utterly distracting. As a result I was often plagued with headaches, anxiety, and found it impossible to focus on the mostly auditory teaching style of my hard working, but overwhelmed teachers. I dreamed of being free from the assembly-​line curriculum to explore subjects at my own pace and in a non-​linear direction.

I founded The Inspired Mind Learning Center in 2013 to provide the most effective math help for children who struggle in a traditional classroom. Our unique combination of one-​on-​one lessons and hands on activities means children have so much fun they forget they’re learning math.

Meet the Business Owner

Dave R.

Business Owner

Dave was born with a passion for helping others. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution, Dave worked in law enforcement for more than 16 years where he saw first-​hand the challenges facing today’s children.

As a volunteer science instructor in local schools, Dave discovered his love for teaching children. But it was after witnessing his son constantly struggle in a traditional classroom that he founded The Inspired Mind Learning Center as a way to integrate math and science with project-​based activities that inspire children to stretch their imaginations in unique ways. With the help of education professionals, Dave made The Inspired Mind Learning Center a truly unique place for learning.
