INS put me in jail without bond and told me I would be deported back to Colombia. Ms. Kleven helped me fight my case in immigration court and even got me out on bond. Thanks to her I got my green card issues resolved and don’t have to worry about INS anymore.

After speaking to Ms. Kleven on the phone I was very excited that she may take on a deportation case for a family I was advocating for. She took the case with a $ 1800 deposit, did some phone work and sent faxes to INS. The detainee was released but we are still unaware if it was the work of Ms. Kleven or just timing. Ms. Kleven never needed to go to court for this person. After a few weeks we canceled the «contract» with her, which was signed by a family member. Because of the limited amount of work completed we hoped for a decent refund. Wrong… we were offered a $ 200 refund and now a $ 300 refund out if kindness. Any other lawyers I spoke too agreed this is not a fair refund. This family needs any help they can get, I don’t feel Ms. Kleven «walks the walk» but she did «talk the talk.»
