History

Established in 2010.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Pride accepted a position at a prestigious San Diego law firm where he practiced Employment and Labor litigation. While protecting some of the United States’ largest companies, Mr. Pride gained valuable experience and considerable knowledge in all facets of civil litigation. Armed with this experience, Mr. Pride knew that his true calling was to defend the rights of individuals.

Harkening his fellow Morehouse alumnus, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mr. Pride decided to blaze his own trail and start The Pride Law Firm based on the idea that «Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere.» Focusing on Employment Law, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense, Mr. Pride employs meticulous attention to detail and zealous advocacy, to protect his client’s rights and eradicate injustice in both state and federal courts.

Dante T. Pride is the founder and Managing Attorney of The Pride Law Firm in San Diego, California. Mr. Pride attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., where he received a full academic scholarship. While at Morehouse, Mr. Pride was a member of the honors program and named to the dean’s list. Mr. Pride graduated from Morehouse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Having a passion for advocacy, Mr. Pride then attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where he excelled in Advanced Trial Advocacy and was the Vice President of the Student Bar Association. Having received invaluable training at the Alternate Public Defender during law school, and a prestigious private law firm in San Diego after law school, Mr. Pride made the fateful decision in 2010 to open The Pride Law Firm.

Mr. Pride has been helping individuals and families every day since.

While I have valued Mr. Pride as a reliable and honest source of legal advice for nearly ten years, it was not until I had a particularly distressing legal issue with serious implications on my immediate financial future that I truly came to appreciate the level of dedication and service offered by the Pride law firm. Over the course of a year working closely with Mr. Pride and his associates I was time and again impressed and reassured with a willingness to go above and beyond what might have been fairly or customarily expected as a client. Mr. Pride truly left no stone unturned and when a resolution was ultimately reached I was more than satisfied that a more thorough or thoughtful management of my case could not have been conducted on my behalf. Mr. Pride was consistently reliable, honest, and considerate of my personal stake in the outcome. While I hope to avoid such a need in the future, if I or anyone close to me should ever have a need for legal representation I would look no further than the Pride law firm; one would be hard-​pressed to find more competent, dedicated, and passionate legal representation.

His faith, caliber and concientious effort in fighting injustice is remarkable. no one believed in my case and no one had the guts to fight for my issue at work. He took my case knowing it was an up hill battle. He showed great team spirit and gave his 110% to the work at hand for this cause againgst all odds. Dante has exceptional practical knowledge, a knack to fight for the right cause and works incessantly to see the truth prevail. My family and I were extremely fortunate to be referred to Pride Law Firm. Our case focused on an injury that occurred to my daughter at the young age of 4. Because this involved our little girl, the sensitivity of this matter was very high. From the beginning Jessica was sympathetic, understanding, and professional. She always made sure to explain our options and offer great advise. She was persistent in dealing with the opposition and was able to get us to our target settlement. One thing I learned from this experience is that you have to be patient and have trust in your team. Jessica certainly earned my trust and any future referrals. This review long overdue, but in my defense, once you wrap up a legal matter, you are very anxious to move on and forget all about it! However, I would be remiss if I didn’t compliment Dante Pride and the work his firm did for my case.
Keeping a verrrrry long story short, I hired the Pride Law Firm to handle my employment case. After several interviews with other attorneys, my husband and I both agreed that Mr. Pride was the very best choice for us. The other attorneys we interviewed were either disinterested, overly confident (i.e. ‘we’ll get you millions!’), or just gave off a bad vibe. Mr. Pride was very knowledgeable in the employment law area, had very fair pricing, and had very realistic expectations for the outcome of my case.
The wheels of justice turn very slowly. Throughout the yearlong process, Mr. Pride kept me 100% informed along the way. He allowed me to control most of the big decisions, while giving advice and guiding me through the tougher decisions. I felt like he always stepped in just in time; he seemed to know exactly when I was overwhelmed and needed some help deciding what to do. He was exactly what an attorney should be — a counselor.
Billing was always very clear, concise, and fair. I never had any problems with getting in touch with the firm; they were always quick to respond to my emails, my text messages and my phone calls. Dante was also very understanding and compassionate when I would cry about how mean the defense counselors were being. :) I mean, I was literally standing on the sidewalk on State Street crying after a deposition. Oh yeah, I put him through that a few times. Poor guy.
Needing a lawyer is never a fun experience. Luckily, I was able to find The Pride Firm and they helped me through a very difficult situation. In the end, they delivered as promised and we came out on top.

UNPROFESSIONALLY GHETTO & a waste of time. I’m using terms this so-​called firm might be able to understand. I was referred by my doctor. I called and spoke to Dante Pride about the particulars of my case. He set up a phone consultation that was supposed to happen a few days later at 11:00am, but neglected to call at the specified time. I called him after about 15 minutes, left a message, and never received a return call. About 7:30pm, I receive a call from Jessica Pride, his wife, who basically gave me the impression she was just being nosey. I explained about the phone consultation that was missed. She stated she didn’t know where her husband was at, maybe he had court, maybe he was MIA, but she could «handle this» for me. At this point I was not particularly pleased with the firm. Plus in the past when I did call the firm the receptionist was really unprofessional. I am assuming it was a receptionist, even though she sounds exactly like Jessica Pride, always stating he’s not available and would transfer me to voicemail. Against my better judgement I set up a consultation with Jessica. She did call at the specified time the next day. We went over the particulars of the case. She quoted me rates and explained things. She told me she would be in touch the following week. In the mean time, I had an appointment scheduled with a specialist who needed my attorney information prior to rendering service. When they called the firm they were advised by Dante that they were not handling the case, so I could not be seen. I do not know about you guys, but I am about my business and my time is valuable. Apparently this law firm feels otherwise, apparently they feel they can waste people’s time. They will not get the opportunity to waste my time in the future, and I recommend you follow suit… JUST SAY NO — take your business to a firm that appreciates it and knows what it means to provide excellent customer service.
