Patti is AMAZING! Her professionalism and patience is out of this world. I reference patience, because one definitely needed it with close to 5 vision changes throughout the planning process (what can I say… I couldn’t make up my mind). Patti was readily available when I came up with a new ideas and she was willing to talk through it, which is much appreciated. On the day of the wedding, I was absolutely blown away when I saw the florals. Everything turned out better than I could have ever imagined and guests are still talking about how beautiful everything looked. Hands down, I would recommend Patti to anyone looking for a florist for their wedding or special event.

I was referred to Patti by someone who worked at a local horticultural school in San Diego as I was looking for an independent designer or small business owner. My husband and I had a destination wedding on September 5^th, 2014 and working with Patti was an absolute dream. She was by far the most professional of all of our wedding vendors and went above and beyond in every aspect. Patti was the only vendor that we did not experience a single issue with. She responded to my emails in a timely manner and was always available to offer suggestions.
Patti really cares about her clients and it shows in her work. When I arrived at our ceremony and reception, I was completely and utterly blown away. We had a destination wedding in San Diego in Sept 2013. From the first meeting with Patti, I knew that she had such a passion for her business and also that she really cares about her clients! Patti was very flexible when we visited San Diego, as she traveled TO US for our meeting at our hotel. She was very detail oriented, asking a lot of questions about our vision for the wedding. She definitely brought our vision to life– and I could not have asked for more beautiful florals and tablescapes at our wedding! She was very easy to work with, and she was creative with her ideas for décor not only with the flowers but also with the décor throughout our wedding ceremony and reception. She was able to also put together our escort cards and table.

Stunning, exquisite, gorgeous, creative, unique, breathtaking… I could go on and on! Our wedding reception was held at our home and Patti with Thistle Dew made it look like the most fabulous venue ever!!! She also created a beautiful environment in Presidio Park where the ceremony was held– making two separate gorgeous settings and I could not have been more impressed. Thank you Patti, thank you!!! Everything was beyond perfect.

Looking back at our wedding it seemed there was an issue with nearly every vendor with the exception of our wonderful, amazing, kind, creative, and thoughtful florist Patti at Thistle Dew. She completely understood my vision and the flowers were simply gorgeous. We had so many compliments from guests after the wedding commenting on how breathtaking the flowers were. She was on time, cooperative, great with responding quickly to emails and phone calls, this woman is truly salt of the earth. I cannot say enough about how I loved working with her. Patti is honestly one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of working with. As soon as I talked with her about my floral needs for my wedding, I knew she understood me. My husband and I met Patti at Paradise Point in San Diego, CA and she was very knowledgeable about how their catering/​event department operated. Patti designed so many events at our venue that I felt at ease immediately. She was also very accommodating and I trusted her taste completely. Patti was responsive and very prompt to answer my questions. She is a true expert and a professional and a true joy to work with!

During such a stressful time, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better florist – Patti is fantastic!!! She listened to exactly what we envisioned and created the most beautiful arrangements using her creativity and impressive knowledge of the many types of flowers. We received so many compliments from our guests and other vendors about the fantastic job she did. Patti’s communication and follow up is so prompt and professional and she took it a step further by going above and beyond our expectations by also offering up suggestions for other details we were having trouble making decisions on. My wife and I were married on September 18^th at the Diamond View Tower’s Ultimate Skybox. For those of you familiar with the location, I’m sure you understand the appeal. Aside from the stunning, sweeping views of downtown SD, Coronado, the Harbor, and PETCO Park, the venue boasts an indoor/​outdoor entertainment space that naturally invokes a great party atmosphere.
With our emphasis on location (as well as music and booze), our flower budget was limited. We told Patti up front that while flowers were not our priority, we wanted to maximize the bang for the buck. She certainly came through!
We ended up ordering my wife’s bouquet, three BM bouquets, three GM /​two fathers /​and my boutonnière, four isle runners, three large centerpieces, 8 belly bar center pieces, and three cake-​stand vase fillers. In addition, Patti delivered all personal flowers to us while we were getting ready and then went to the venue to deliever and setup the remaining flowers. We received all of our beautiful flowers and Patti’s exceptional service at a undeniably affordable price. AMAZING!
Patti greatly exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. I HIGHLY recommend that you consider Thistle Dew, especiallly if you are looking for flowers that make a powerful statement without breaking the bank!

We had the BEST vendors at our wedding. I can’t really say enough great things about each of them. Patti, from Thistle Dew, was our florist. Patti was amazing to work with. She is extremely creative and was able to create magic within my budget. She even offered me advise on how to maximize my limited floral budget. Furthermore, she was able to capture my unique style even though I did not have a clear vision; it was though she was able to get into my head and artistically articulate exactly what I wanted.
One of the greatest things about Patti is her unbiased expertise in the bridal business. Patti referred me to 3 different month of coordinators that she had done events with in the past. All 3 were highly qualified and had diverse backgrounds and expertise. I probably would have been happy working with any one of them. It is thanks to Patti that I was able to find my amazing month of coordinator (Christina from Bliss). I really felt like Patti would have done whatever she could to help make my event special.
I know that I am gushing over my vendors but I had every intention of eloping and thanks to my vendors I would do the wedding again and again. I had the most spectacular celebration and I am so glad I did not elope.
It has been almost 3 weeks since my wedding and the cut flowers are still thriving; the orchids looks like they were cut yesterday and the lei’s in the trees are still beautiful.
Just a side note about Patti, she recently started her own local business, Thistle Dew… I love being able to support a local entrepreneur!
