Torrey Pines Micro Endodontics

This was by far one of the best experiences at a dentist office I have ever had. I was very sick due to an infection that two other dentists missed. I then went to east county family denistry who then referred me to Torrey pines since I then needed a specialist. Once I got there I was treated with kindness & respect. Dr Howell was gentle & compassionate. I cannot thank them enough for treating my infection & now I am painfree.

Dr. Herold is amazing… unfortunately this is my 3^rd root canal but Dr. Herold has done each one virtually painless. This last one was the worst one I have ever experienced I was crying like a baby when I called the office at 4:30 pm on wednesday and they got me in at 6:00 am thursday morning… they also called in a prescription for the pain which was a godsend as I was in extreme pain… Dr. Herold is a very caring, careful man who has made root canals seem like a routine dental visit. I highly recommend Dr. Herold and their office.

I’ve seen Dr. Herold a several times in the past when he was in Hillcrest for root canal issues and even in an emergency — for a problem tooth. He was excellent in every way. From bedside manner to expertise I was extremely pleased with the service and care that I received. Gee if you have to get root canals, you may as well love the endodontist! Being a dentist, my list of specialists I would choose to visit for a root canal is very short. Having said that, Dr. Herald is at the top of it! He and his staff are AMAZING! It almost makes me look forward to my next root canal! Thanks again for the great work Dr. Herald!

Let me just start by saying that I am 35 years old, 35 weeks pregnant and absolutely terrified of the dentist/​endodontist.. anybody that has drills and works in my mouth. I had been in serious pain but was putting off what I knew needed to happen due to being terrified and pregnant. I couldn’t bare the pain any longer and my dentist referred me to Dr.Herold. Dr. Herold’s office got me in as soon as they could and were extremely helpful. The office was beautiful and the staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable which is almost an impossible feeling for me to have in that situation. Dr. Herold was very kind and made sure that I wouldn’t feel a thing. I couldn’t take any calming meds due to my pregnancy but I was comfortable throughout the root canal. I watched a movie and even found myself laughing a couple times. After the root canal was finished i was given tylenol that i didn’t even need to take and i haven’t been in pain since! The past root canals that I have had were completely different experiences and have left me with this terrible fear. I can now say that Dr. Herold has made me think differently about getting my teeth worked on. After my pregnancy I will definitely keep going with my smile makeover… I only wish Dr. Herold did everything! Thank you for making this once terrified lady not afraid anymore!

I have recently had two root canals done by Dr Herold at Torrey Pines Micro Endodontics. The first was an emergency and they fit me in on an already busy day. I was in a lot of pain and was nervous. Everyone in the office was kind and the office itself is beautiful and calming. Dr. Herold and his assistants were great and the pain was gone the next morning. When I needed a root canal on another tooth the next week I went back to see Dr. Herold.
I hope you never need a root canal but if you do don’t hesitate to get it done by Dr. Herold.

I was referred to Dr Herold for a root canal. Their office is conveniently located in Sorrento Valley with ample parking. Called to schedule the appoint. and luckily the office manager who was very pleasant accommodated my schedule. Their office is designed to make one feel like your in a beautiful home not a doctors office. Or seriously like a 6 star hotel. One might think that since your in such upscale office that the cost for the procedure would be expensive. It was not. I found that their cost for the root canal was the same as other offices I contacted.
Everyone who helped with my check in were professionals. After taking me into the inner sanctum (where the magic is performed) I met Dr Herold who explained every detail of what he was going to do. They have everything going on to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Performing the root canal went flawlessly. It has been 24 hours since the procedure and I have No pain. I didn’t even need to take an aspirin the night of Or the day after. My pain tolerance is not that great either. So I credit all this to a job well done.
I would recommend to anyone that needs a root canal. Go see Torrey Pines Micro Endodontics. You will be amazed how great you will be taken care of by them.

I had a great experience at this office! From the staff to the office design to the equipment, everything is top of the line. They even avoid excessive paperwork by using iPads to sign you in. Being my first root canal I was a little nervous, but Dr. Herold and his staff did a great job of explaining the procedure, and assuring me it would just seem like a filling that takes a little longer. I had no pain during or after the root canal, and can’t recommend this office highly enough. Very satisfied customer!
