Trim Hair Lounge

As with all the services that delight me, I am half tempted to try to keep them a secret (and not Unilocal about them). Well, the cat will be out of the bag soon enough, so let me be the first to Unilocal about the Trim Lounge.
Nicole Hall has opened her own salon after having worked in and around Pacific Beach for 10 years or so – or at least that’s as long as she’s been cutting my hair. I am thrilled with (and for) Nicole. This is a long-​awaited, big step for her. For me, it’s wonderful to have a stylist as good as she who is also a fun, personable, and upbeat individual. She remembers every detail about my life as I do with many of the details of hers, so when I come in for a cut, we pick up where we left off.
Tonight, I brought with me a picture of myself from 10 years ago. (I wanted to get that style again.) Without hesitation, Nicole remarked, «Oh I remember that haircut.,» and I am sporting that style again.
You can’t go wrong with Nicole. Just don’t book up all of her time. Leave some for me.

This is a fabulous hair salon on the corner of Hornblend and Cass in PB. I always make a point of planning lunch before at one of the numerous tasty food venues around, as the salon is located right in the heart of PB. Though it is centrally located, I never seem to have an issue finding parking! I have been seeing my gal there (shout out to Julie) for five years. She is the BEST! Her prices are reasonable. The cuts and colors are right on. She does a thorough consult prior to starting. She never goes shorter without consulting me first. She even does my brows. All of this pampering at a great price with an awesome gal. I highly recommend this salon and especially Julie!

This review is long overdue!
I’ve been going to Rachel De Hoop for nearly 6 years now for my routine cut and foil to blondify my hair. She always does an amazing job. She’s not only very professional, she’s also really easy to talk to and we’ve become friends over the years. But this review isn’t just about the salon or my haircuts.
Rachel and her team also do weddings! So naturally, when it was my time (August 30, 2014), I chose her for my wedding hairdo. And I am so glad that I did! She and Nicole came to the hotel room where the girls were getting ready for the wedding. They were on time and ready to start the process. Nicole did an amazing job as well. They were quick and kept us on schedule.
I know I’ve referred friends and clients to see Rachel for their daily hair needs. And I will for sure refer other brides to Trim Hair Lounge for bridal styles.

I’ve been seeing Julie for years — SHE IS AMAZING! I have thick long blond hair and she nails my highlights every time! I won’t trust my hair to anyone else! She is awesome to talk to, too! I guess its kind of hair + therapy? :)
Love her so much I sent my boyfriend to her once he decided to lose his longer than needed locks and he couldn’t be more thrilled! He sees her now as well and we try to make appointments together.

Nicole is the best! Fastest I’ve ever had and I have a lot of hair! She totally listened to me and got my color spot on. Adorable little salon in PB, easy parking, chill spot. Love it!

Julie Martinez cuts and colors my hair and cuts my daughter’s hair as well. They always love to go see «Miss Julie».
I have followed her since 2009 and have always been very pleased with my hair. She is very good at what she does and I get lots of compliments. Julie works with my busy schedule and is easy to book with. We still laugh about the time she came in at 7am for an appointment.

A good friend recommended Julie after I was bemoaning a botched haircut from a super spendy «curly hair specialist»…and I am sooooo happy with the results! The typical sob story for girls with curly hair is that either the stylist is afraid to cut it short, or they presume to know too much (which is just silly, since no two curly heads are the same). But Julie was incredibly patient, listened to what I wanted, asked the right questions about my curl type, and most importantly, was FEARLESS in cutting my already short hair even shorter. What I wanted was a curly bob (which the other stylist told ME that I wouldn’t want that), and Julie delivered. It looks incredible! This is the first haircut in 5 years’ living in San Diego that I’ve absolutely loved. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

Took my 5 year old daughter to trim hair lounge, I loved it, their great ! My daughter had long hair and we cut it short for the first time. Rachel cut her hair and did a wonderful job, she took her time and really gave the cut personality. I will come back every time we need our hair done !

SHE LISTENS! I had two requirements cut it short and keep me sexy… SHE DELIVERED! Every time I see her I go shorter and sassier.

I’ve followed Julie through 3 salons in 5 years. Yes she cuts hair, makes it look exceptional, and is a great listener but her most appealing aspect is her flexible schedule. She works 9a to 9p on specific days. Her flex scheduling allows me to pursue all my work related duties and random errands before stepping foot into the salon at 815 at night. Anyway, check her out.

This review is long over due. After a long relationship with my former hair dresser I had to find a new one. Always a horrible thing if you ask me. I went to a place on Bankers Hill cause it had great reviews (it was the worst hair cut ever). As I was crying to my good friend she referred me to Trim. Not only did she get me in with in 24hrs she fixed a horrible cut and made me feel AMAZING! I honestly did not think it was possible and I am more then shocked at her skills. Thank you THank you Thank you. You saved my 30^th bday!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Rachel for years! I love her hair salon it’s great to see how far she has come… The salon is so cute and the staff is friendly! Highly recommend getting your hair done here!

Moira is the best! She always does an excellent job on my hair (I have been going to her for 8 years now!) and she’s VERY reasonably priced. Several of my friends and family members now go to her too. I have long, thick hair so it takes a while but the time always passes so quickly because she’s great at conversation and it is just a good time. I always look forward to my appointments with her. If you’re new to pb like I was when I met her, I recommend trying her out, you won’t be disappointed! Also, the salon is really cute and cozy and there is a decent amount of free parking around it, which is a huge bonus in PB. =)

Rachel is simply the best! She treats all her clients like gold and remember details about them to make meaningful connection every time you pay a visit to get the ultimate hair pampering. There is no one else I trust with my hair! I have been seeing her since 2008 and have referred several friends– who think equally of her. We highly recommend any of the gals at the salon.
