HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! If zero stars were possible I would give that. The doctors are kind and knowledgeable but the administrative and front desk staff are the cause of the bad review. They are unorganized, rude and clearly come to work for their paycheck.

We had a great experience here!!! My sister cut her hand quite badly on some glasses at work and was sent here to get stitches. Our PA, Bautista was awesome. He was very professional but also super funny and put up with our raucous behavior very well. Better to laugh through the pain, right??? His stitches were beautiful and he kept making sure she had the right amount of local to keep her out of pain.
Honestly so many medical professionals have zero bedside manner and more like him are abso needed. THANK YOU!

If you don’t mind waiting 2 ½ hours to have a quick visit than this is the place for you.
Yesterday I checked in at 2:20pm for my 2:30pm appointment, I waited a whole hour and finally I asked the front desk if he knew how much longer he said «ummmmm. I don’t know can that be an appropriate answer» (the nerve, after patiently waiting for an hour) I replied by saying «umm no can we check in the back to see how much longer» he said «aw mannn you gonna make me get up and walk back there» (Working my last nerve)
Sooo… a medical assistant came to the front and said it will be 15 – 20 more minutes and I said ok. I was taken back by a lady at 3:42 and she offered me water (great! doesn’t change the fact that they are running late but great) I waited in the room for another hour! I came out of my room and saw 4 people talking about what they did on the weekend (which is fine, but can you be discreet about it, the door to my room is closed and I can hear them loud and clear) so I come out my room and asked them how much longer? (it was now 4:36 and my appt was at 2:30) they said they will check on it. the male medical assistant came in my room and said that I will be seen in 10 more min so I asked him why it takes forever to be seen he said they just had a lot of patients and missing a doctor (they are full of excuses, I’ve been there 5 times and those 5 times I had to wait more than an hour).
I work in the medical field and know how this works I know things like this happen but 5 times!!! they need to find a new way of running things either they need to be scheduling patients for and 1−2hr time slot so they can run on time or hire more doctors.
I was finally seen at 4:45 and he was done with me at 4:53! the visit only lasted 8 min!
I waited 2 hours and 15 min to be seen for an 8 min visit? When I was checking out I heard a pt say that he couldn’t wait any longer and that he was going to leave. I have another appt next week and I will not show up, they don’t respect patients times I wont respect their time.
Please don’t go to this place it literally ruins your whole day. This place honestly needs new management or better staff because they are horrible!!!

Can I leave zero stars? I’ve been here for 3 hrs and I’ve still not been seen. This is insane. I wish I had read the reviews because everything I’m reading about this place is true. 2 – 4 hrs of waiting. I can’t even believe it. They said there is only one doctor here. This place needs to stop being stingy and higher more providers to take better care of patients. The staff is sweet but it sounds like a corporate issue. And it’s hilarious because after each Unilocal review a rep from the corporate company replies with «we’re so sorry» that’s crap. Fire all the people who respond to Unilocal reviews and hire a couple more docs. Over it.

I went in tonight on New Year’s Day due to having a random outbreak of hives. This was my first time visiting this place and I was a little worried I would be there all night due to the reviews. However, I was in and out in 50 minutes. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice. The PA and physician I saw were both really nice and prompt. I was given a shot and s prescription. I have had terrible experiences waiting extremely long times at urgent cares, so I was expecting to wait really long especially with it being New Year’s Day. I am grateful that was not the case here.

Waited 3 hours to see someone. Saw a provider for 5 min. Waited for discharge papers for 30 minutes. After my husband asked how much longer for a discharge paper, surprise! they magically appeared.
Great job «urgent» care.

I’m sorry to say the wait time here is terrible. They have not told us anything and later found out only 2 doctors were here to help everyone. The parking lot is behind the building. The sign isn’t very visible from the street, but it’s right next to the light. Parking lot may be hard to get into for lowered cars. The seats here are not comfortable for waiting. Especially if your waiting for over 2 hours to see a doctor. The initial exam took an hour, to just get basic vital signs and information. I have given this place 2 stars because they do help people but it takes forever and a day. I will not recommend this place to my family or friends. Nor will I go here voluntary for health services. If I have to go here due to work, I will ask my work to find me another location.

After our horrible experience and service at Urgent Care & More (so bad we walked out due to the rude front desk staff) we ended up here at the Ruffin Road location that is open ²⁴⁄₇. It is very clean with great customer service. We felt our medical care was as good as if we had gone to our primary care physician. Very please with U.S. HealthWorks. We will come back in the future for our after-​hours care.

Absolutely unacceptable wait times. 4+ hours for the initial (while suffering from back pain) and over 2.5 hours for a follow up for which I had an appointment. This is not any way to treat patients and is disrespectful of a person’s time. This outfit either needs more physicians on hand, a better scheduling approach, etc. Also, was given a prescription that I was unable to fill because they had failed to give me instructions on how to do. Not good when you’re already tired and in pain. The two stars is for the fact that the staff are courteous and are apologetic regarding the wait time. They mostly have positive attitudes. But, you can’t just keep saying you’re sorry and that you’re the next person to be seen (30+ minutes later). Management needs to address this issue.

This urgent care worked out well for me because I have the UC select health care plan and they accept that so when I needed to get stitches, it was only 20 dollars which was very nice because the urgent care by my house in pacific beach wanted to charge me 400 dollars.
Even though there was a wait, the whole process took about 2 hours which wasn’t that bad. The stitch job was very good but the doctor who did stitch me up wasn’t the most helpful if say. I was asking questions because this was my first time getting stitches and he barely was answering them and seemed annoyed that I was even asking questions. After he finished up he said he was going to grab a few things for me to help me clean it when I was home but he never returned and I had to ask a different nurse for the cleaning products.
I know stitches might have been repetitive for him but it was my first time and the more information I have, the better.

WHY ISNT THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN? I just left because the wait is 2 – 3 hours long because they have only one provider. I went to this place several months ago, I was the only person in the waiting room and I waited for 2 or 3 hours. Then when I was seen by the doctor (after waiting another hour for him to show up) he didn’t seem to care, took a culture and never followed up with results. Go somewhere else!

Unreal! The first time I had to come here to do a physical I was given the“first appointment of the day” yet I waited over THREE hours to be seen by a doctor. The second and third time I’ve waited over an hour even though I had doctors appointments scheduled.
Terrible!!! Even once they pull me into the waiting room I wait 30 – 60 minutes until someone comes in… wtf
Chiropractor side is way better and significantly less wait maybe ten minutes. Chiropractor is courteous and does a good job.

I have yet to even be a patient here, and already I do not want to go. The operator I spoke with tonight was rude, short, and completely unprofessional. I called to inquire about the availability of the DTAP shot. My niece recently made an early entrance into the world, and my older brother asked me to check on my immunization history. Murphy’s law, my DTAP shot is out of date. When I asked the operator about the shot, I used the incorrect name and he laughed and said they didn’t carry that shot. I repeated myself and then stated I needed to get the Pertussis shot ASAP, explaining about my niece, and he said the DTAP shot was available, but since my need of the shot was not due to injury, I would have to pay out of pocket. I was caught off guard by that statement, and I asked him why that was the case since I have insurance, and he said he wasn’t sure, he could check for me, but he was in the middle of a few things so could I wait.
ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Who says that? Last time I checked, your job was to answer questions that patients may have, not to make fun of them, or to be rude and disrespectful.
Really outrageous and absurd the lack of customer service I received tonight. There are other US health works in the area, I would rather drive an hour out of my way than go to this one, just based on the experience I had this evening. If the operator of the phone lines is a jerk, why would I want to go here?

Terrible. I was forced to do an employment physic here. I made an appointment on my day off and had to bring my baby with me. I waited TWO HOURS for a 10 minute physical.
Avoid this place at all cost.

This is the worst medical facility at which I have ever had to do a physical– they took over 2 hours to see me, which is the usual amount of time just for the physical and that was after I got here at 7:20. This is completely unacceptable.

This place is awfully. Due to work comp, I went there for a visit where I had lost strength in my leg and pain… I known they filled incorrect paperwork. I need to see more to see if they filled more or correct any of the incorrect info…
The «treating person» stayed «no reason» for the issue but never order an MRI. The correct treatment would have been to order an MRI. Well they should have order an MRI, that would have showed pinched nerves…
The quality is care is horrible here. I won’t be surprised if they been sued for malpractice. Well just check they have been which does not surprise me. Thank goodness I not treat here anymore and help that I will never have to go back.

I have been coming to U. S Healthworks for years now. The staff is friendly and the manager Barry is awesome. The only dislike that I have is being scheduled as the first appointment @9am and still sitting there at 9:30. The doctors I have dealt with are awesome though. And I have been through many.

230 appointment. Not seen until 350. It’s always like this at this place. Guy at the front is busy flirting with females and making me uncomfortable by his aggressive confrontations with the patients. He seems irritated that we are irritated in waiting over an hour past our appointment times. I only come here cause I have too. Avoid at all costs

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!
We came here for a work related injury.
We arrived at 7:15 p.m., after filling out the paperwork they told us to wait. Okay, that’s fine. There was two other people in the waiting room. Finally after an hour of waiting, they placed us in a room and told us the doctor would be in soon. 35 minutes later, the PA comes in and tells us that the only machine that they have in the facility to do optometry diagnosis has a BURNED OUT LAMP BULB!!! …and that they don’t have another machine or a replacement bulb!!!
ARE YOU SERIOUS??? THIS FACILITY SPECIALIZES IN INDUSTRIAL MEDICINE AND INJURIES AND THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO!!!
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME… if there were half a star, I would give it that!!!
We have been here many times in the past, it has always been a disappointment.

Been here for over an hour, and that’s with an appointment. This place is the worst, avoid it at all costs if you can. Every time I’ve come here it’s been a ridiculous wait.
