Union Bank of California

Ending a 25 year personal and business banking relationship with Union Bank. Too many errors, relationship bankers who respond with «I’m sorry but…»., poor customer service, etc. Although I have gone to several branches over these many years and none of them are consistent in processes, the Midway Office is the worst. Unfriendly customer service representatives (get better interpersonal skills at fast food); inept manager; no follow-​thru on committments and high error rate. Just when I thought I had experienced it all they topped themselves at this branch today. I went to close one of several accounts today and received an overdraft notice because the teller when closing the account overdrew the account. How dumb is that? The customer gets dinged because the «box checker» cant fill out a form. Moving all personal and business accounts to Citibank and the comparision is like night and day. Highly recommend Citibank Mission Valley.

I have been banking here for about 5 years. The girls that have been working here the longest aren’t the friendliest. It’s refreshing to deal with new people here occasionally. Other than that, it’s what you should expect from a bank.

Just joined through their relationship manager Sue Crowder and I am super happy wiht the service. I am used to a banking relationship that always leaves me with a feeling like I am a small customer, even though I have been running my own business for a decade and have had emplyees for 4 – 5 years. Sue and Union have offered me the service I have been looking for and I highly recommend them to anyone!

Amazing. After being chased away from Chase because of their ridiculous fees, I chose UB because they truly offer free checking. Plus their business checking is also free! Beat that! On top of that, you are assigned a personal banker so if you have a question, you can call them directly! No more 800 numbers. They do have an 800 number if you need it, just in case though. Top notch customer service. Love the experience. how many of us can say something like that about a banking experience? Look forward to years and years of loyalty.
