I’ve been under Dr Josh Caldwell’s care for a while now. I’ve been feeling great. He’s always educating is patients. He made me a believer in chiropractic care. Recently hurt my shoulder and back at work. I was in pain, I could barely move without any ache or sting. I went to see Dr Josh Caldwell the following day and the pain literally went away the following day. I recommend Dr Josh Caldwell to anyone who is looking for a chiropractor.

I had a wonderful ROLF massage session there a month ago. I wish si could afford to go there more regularly!

It only took one visit to easily give this place and Dr. Caldwell a ⁵⁄₅. I was seen the same day I called. My appointment included thermal imaging of my spine to help identify problem areas. All the while I was treated like the most important person there. I also attended one of the short «classes» and learned some excellent stretches I have been implementing and I can definitely feel and appreciate the difference they make in my spine and neck. Focus is placed on corrective action, not just symptom treatment which is a totally different approach than my previous chiropractor. Dr. Caldwell explains everything he is doing, so it’s impossible to feel uncomfortable or nervous. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

I love the nerve tests that reveal muscle, nerve and spinal info! It’s able to see deeper to understand what’s going on! My mother and friend highly referred me so it came with trusted referrals!

So I’m a court reporter who had to pass off a trial I was working on to another reporter after only Day 2 because I awoke at night with HORRIBLE pain in my middle finger, going up my arm, into my shoulder and neck. It had been hurting me throughout the day, but I had never had this kind of pain before, so I just took a motrin and figured it would pass. No. It was unrelenting at 3 a.m. Thankfully, my chiropractor, Dr. Caldwell at UTC Chiropractic, had already had me set up an appointment with his in-​house Rolfer, Michael, who worked on me yesterday. Needless to say, my hand and arm and shoulder and trap and neck were all kinds of gnarly, but he worked on it and has me feeling much, much better. Court reporting career saved thanks to Dr. Caldwell and Michael! (I’m going to keep the Rolfing® Structural Integration up to thoroughly work through the kinks!)

Look no further, this place is the real deal. I went here thinking that Dr. Josh Caldwell was in-​network for my insurance. It turned out, he wasn’t, but he still decided to treat me without taking any co-​pay, basically losing revenue on his end. Although it was an initial mistake to assume he was in-​network, I’m glad this mistake happened so that I could experience this place!
Melissa manages the front-​desk and she is the nicest person you could ask for. Not sure how to put it any other way, but there are plenty of places that lose my interest because of bad service and this is not one of them.
Initially I thought of Dr. Josh like a high school gym teacher — big, athletic, upbeat. But unlike your average high school gym teacher, he actually knows a lot about his profession and he pretty much demonstrates that everyday. Almost every time I went in, he would mention interesting facts about my spine, or the benefits of certain types of chiropractic adjustments. He also holds a workshop every week for new patients. When I went, he explained the basics of chiropractic care and many things about himself giving me more transparency into his life and motivations. He also made some really good arguments about why modern medicine is just not working especially for preventative care. I found this workshop to be really helpful and I was more trustful of his practice after that. Also, Josh always seems to remember every patient’s name which is very pleasing.
Josh’s adjustment style is very comforting — he is quick and precise, and he talks you through the whole way. I’ve had experiences from two other chiropracters and both of them were slow, reluctant, and didn’t get much response from my spine. But Josh knows exactly what he’s doing and his method displays years of experience.
Sadly, I am moving away from San Diego and I will really miss coming here — my run with them was short, but very nice. I looked forward to coming here after work, for my 5 minute adjustment that would negate the stress accumulated over the day. I definitely, definitely recommend them to anyone interested in chiropractic care.

I have been dealing with an injury that was getting worse by the day. I have never been to a Chiropractor before, but was now ready to give it a go. I have anxiety issues, so I needed a Chiropractor that was close by and made me feel very comfortable. UTC Chiropractic is all that.
They are located in the U. C area that is very central and easy to get to. Dr. Josh and his whole staff are very welcoming, I felt comfortable right away .Dr. Josh explains everything extremely well– I am actually looking forward to my treatment. The office is a calm place with smiling faces — i highly recommend.

After many months of feeling great, I have to say that this is group of people are really working together to make a difference in their patients. I also tried dr. Michael, who practices Rolfing, and he helped me destress my muscles as well. Thank you for all that you do!

I came in as a walk in and was seen within 15 minutes. Dr. Josh had excellent chiropractic technique. I felt relief immediately and his skill seemed advanced compared to other chiropracters I have visited. I moved to San Diego a year ago and am so happy that I have found an excellent chiropractor. I first met Dr. Josh at our Helath Expo held in the summer after discussing my recent car accident and how my neck was bothering me he suggested that I make an appointment with him. As it turned out I had already made an appoitnment with another chiropractor but cancelled that and decided to go see Dr. Josh.
This experience was all new to me as I had never had an adjustment or even an examination by a chiropractor before. It is very hard for me to feel comfortable with anyone who is adjusting my neck and back and I have a tendency to tighten up — but with Dr. Josh he made me feel really relaxed, explained what I would expect how each adjustment would work, gave me exercies and stretches to do at home! His staff is freindly and really helpful! I look forward to each of my appointments and as it turns out Dr. Josh grew up near my famliy! So it is really like having a family friend doiing my adjustment.
I would highly recommend you to visit Dr Josh and his staff for an adjustment.

My lower back has been bothering me more than usual and yoga practice was not doing the «trick», so I decided to find a chiropractor in the area. One day I walked into UTC Chiropractic office, took a card, and called for an appointment few days later. Very easy… and fast.
The place has the friendliest staff! I watched a quick informative video about the work they perform and had a short discussion with Dr. Josh, who is very nice. I first let him know that I only need to «pop» my back and I am good to go; however, I will be going back as like he said, one «pop» will not be enough… I felt so much better right after my treatment and will be going back again on Monday… Thank you!

Good people, appreciated them not forcing me to take treatments when I did not want it. I’ll follow up about my back pain going away but overall pleasant experience.

After suffering from years of pain in my wrists, and lower back… my neck started to hurt to the point where I was getting bad headaches and my vision was starting to become blurry. The doctors & specialists and physiotherapists have not been able to do anything, but after a single treatment from Dr Josh Caldwell, it fell like the pain from my back was instantly released… my headache went away and their was a significant difference in how I felt.
I am having on going treatment to get my body back to the state it should be in, and feel confident that finally after suffering for so long, I am finally in the hands of someone who can actually help and my body will feel like mine again… rather than an older granny version of myself :)
To add to this, the staff are friendly and it is a very comforting environment to be in… which was particularly important as I was very nervous about being adjusted. Dr Caldwell was very good about this and explained everything to me in great detail as well as taking his time.
I would recommend Dr Caldwell and this clinic without a second thought.

This was my first time going to a chiropractor and I was very nervous about it. I’m pregnant (on my 3^rd trimester) and I was experiencing a lot of lower back pain.
The practice staff was very friendly and I was very impressed with Dr. Caldwell as he was very detailed and welcoming, explaining everything in detail and making me feel comfortable by answering any questions and even suggesting prenatal reading material.
Overall my experience was great and pain was relieved. I definitely recommend it for other pregnant women as it was safe and comforting.

I have only had two adjustments so far, and will update (hopefully to five stars) after I’ve gone a little longer. I hurt my back recently and the pain has been constant. I had never been to a chiropractor and have always been skeptical about the profession, but I decided that it was time to try anything to make the pain stop. Dr. Josh consulted with me on a Thursday, and was supposed to go over my report and treatment plan the following week, as he doesn’t usually work on Fridays.
However, after seeing how miserable I was, he told me to come in the next day, Friday. I was impressed by this because it seems like nowadays health care providers just shuffle through patients and don’t seem to care that much. Dr. Josh also recommended that I bring my husband in to discuss my report. At first I thought «red flag»! He just wants him to come in to try to get him into treatment, too. However, this was not the case at all, Dr. Josh just wanted to explain the report to both of us and go over stretches that my husband would need to help me with — again, pleasantly surprised!
Dr. Josh was straightforward and also provided a range of treatment options. He also explains things well. He told me not to expect any miracles, and that it would take multiple sessions before I begin to feel better, and that I might even feel worse before I feel better. However, after the first adjustment, I experienced a temporary relief of about an hour. Even though it was temporary, it was wonderful. After the next adjustment, coupled with stretching, I was able to walk without pain for the rest of the evening for the first time in over a month.
Hopefully the relief will last longer after each adjustment. I also start physical therapy soon, so hopefully that coupled with the chiropractic adjustments will heal my back. The four star rating is due to fact that I have only gone twice so far, the waiting room is tiny and doesn’t having enough seating for the peak appointment times, the air conditioning is currently out, and it has been very hot in San Diego lately. I am also not a huge fan of the open adjustment rooms, but all of these are minor issues, especially since the air conditioning will be fixed soon.

This place has the friendliest staff ever! Dr. Caldwell is one of a kind, very knowledgeable and a great professional. This place is awesome and will get you fixed for good! :-)

I’m visiting the area on business. My neck was really bothering me. I found UTC Chiropractic online ( Unilocal) and I decided to go with them because they are close and have the best reviews. I was not disappointed. In my experience, Dr. Josh has earned all of his stars, including the five from me. From the beginning, he helped me to feel at ease with his approach, taking the time to help me understand his philosophy and background. The treatment itself was unlike any I have had before, and I have had more than my fair share of chiropractic treatments from a wide variety of practitioners. Dr Josh has some pretty impressive martial-​arts style moves, and at the same time is careful to provide only the degree of pressure required to make the right adjustment. Dr Josh is right up there with the best, if not THE best.

I had a shoulder pain lingering for more than six months. Finally decided to do something about it, so called up UTC chiro and scheduled an appointment with Dr Josh. Since the pain was there since such a long time, didn’t really expect any miracles on the first meeting. It took Dr Josh just 5 minutes to find the pain hotspot, he did an adjustment and applied kinesio tape. The shoulder was sore for some couple hours but I could clearly see the difference, felt good that the adjustment really worked. The pain has totally subsided after couple weeks, Dr Josh is good at what he does, I absolutely recommend him.
