Came in after I’d been (not so) patiently waiting for them to open. What a wonderful place– friendly staff, a good (but I’m sure soon to be great) selection of books, and most of all incredibly reasonable prices. I’m so happy they’re here and I can wait to come back over and over.

I just visited this store to sell/​trade books. They accepted 2 of my 5 books and offered me $ 4 cash or $ 6 credit. I used the credit to get another book.
I’m not sure if these prices are good or not. Honestly, I haven’t sold/​traded a book in years, so I don’t know.
There is something about this store that really appeals to me. The layout? The high ceilings? The fact that it isn’t overwhelming? I’m not sure. I just like it. I think they focus on having books people will actually want, rather than just a zillion books on everything ever. I look forward to going back.

I finally came to this store after hearing about it opening on some Facebook posts. I happened to be walking in the hood to check out some of the new businesses opening or soon to open. I am about to finish up one book in a series, and wanted to find the second one, and I was extremely happy to find that they had it along with the next two books after it. Which I have gone to other stores, and they never have more than the first book. Also the pricing for used books was really good. I will be back for the third one, once I am finished with the second.

I’m in book store-​love with this place. High ceilings make it feel really open, but somehow it also manages to hit ‘cozy’ too.
Friendly/​helpful/​knowledgable owner, comfy chairs, and very reasonable prices.
Please come visit them so that I can keep coming here forever.

Wonderful bookstore with an amazing selection of used books at very reasonable prices. The store is also located at a happening spot. I’d definitely go back and spend a little bit more time here, and hopefully this store stays for a long time!

Lots of books, good quality in regards to condition and content. I picked up a couple of books I’ve heard about but never read — Two Years Before the Mast and Eigen Dreams trade paperbacks for about $ 6 each. A real improvement to this corner of the neighborhood.

I was so happy to find out that Verbatim finally opened. I decided to go here before my yoga class but wish I didn’t because I was so overwhelmed with the book selections they had and I needed more time to browse. They have everything and anything from Outlander to Game of Thrones to books from Paolo Coelho, Mitch Albom, classics, mysteries, etc.
They have a nice sitting area for adults and a little reading area at the back for the kids. I bought 4 books and they gave me a nice Verbatim bag. I definitely have to go back here when I am not rushing to go someplace else after.

I love love love this place!!! It’s super great– the ambiance is great, the people are very nice, and the selection is great! I came here on a rainy day and it couldn’t have been a better experience! It’s the feel of an old school library with a modern touch! Highly recommend it!

I love this place! HUGE selection of literary fiction, a great true crime section and lots more. Really good and fair prices. Service is great. Ambience is superb. Basically a 10⁄10.

Verbatim Books is such a great addition to the neighborhood! They have a large selection of literary fiction, science fiction, and children’s books. It is in the perfect location for a stroll around North Park. They are generous with their trade in deals as well.

Stopped by Verbatim Books after dinner at Lucha Libre Taco Shop and had so much fun browsing their choice collection. Bought a book for myself and my nephew, and curled up to read in a cozy chair by the window while my wife finished browsing. Felt like I was in college again :)
