I was on a walk with my pooch, and I didn’t realize there was a juice bar inside the video store. It looked very clean so I ordered the acai bowl to go. It was delicious! I like that they don’t add additional sugar to the acai a lot of places add sugar or Apple juice to make it sweeter! Mark was very friendly and polite. I will be coming here for acai

What a marvelous addition to Kensington’s village! The smoothies are sensational: each is custom-blended just for you. Always fresh and delish. Marc, Pam, and Willie are delightful, as is the most unusual ambience: VidaJuice shares its space with the legendary Kensington Video. While sipping your Kensington Kooler, you can hang out and talk movies with Winnie and Guy Hanford. Lots of tables and chairs, and free Wifi, natch. Plus there’s often a movie playing on the big screen in the afternoons. Not only does VidaJuice offer smoothies(my new fave is the very filling Chilli Verde), acai bowls, and yogurt parfaits, they now offer the best Chicken Tortilla Soup I’ve ever tasted, on Fridays and Saturdays only. Instead of the usual red tomato-based broth, Willie’s secret recipe features a lime– and cilantro-flavored chicken broth, which is served up with layers of tortilla chips(top and bottom of bowl), lots of white chicken chunks, diced tomatoes and avocado, and plenty of shredded cheese. Many regular patrons(including me) make a point of stopping in Friday or Saturday to pick up a bowl, which is so hearty it can easily make two meals.

Love, love, love! Came with the homie to get an acai bowl and it was delicious; one of the best I’ve had. The Chia and Flax seeds did not overpower the rest of the bowl and the fruits were fresh. I would definitely come back for more and to try their smoothies.

This place is fantastic! First of all, the décor and ambiance are great! It’s very clean and welcoming! Secondly, it’s a family-run business and the owner and his family are super kind and friendly! Finally: the food is delish! I regularly get their acai bowls and the tortilla chicken soup that they serve every Friday and Saturday. It’s honestly the best tortilla soup that I’ve ever had! It’s packed with chicken, lime, cilantro, tortilla chips, and avocado! You’ll love it! It’s a homemade recipe. Definitely visit VidaJuice!

The employees here are so welcoming and kind. I ordered the Watermelon Berry Smoothie which was refreshing and delicious. I would definitely come back to try the variety of different drinks they offer, and maybe some of the food too!

I was happy to hear that the video store was opening up again. I was anticipating the re-grand opening since Kensington doesn’t have a smoothie place and I was glad the local owners of the video store were able to continue their business. I ordered the Kiwi Delivery Service, which I am sad to say did not deliver. The ingredients said kiwi, mango, banana, and o.j. I couldn’t taste much of the mango or banana. The worst part was that it was kinda chalky and the chalkiness lingered. Maybe from the kiwi seeds? The other thing is I asked for a water cup, but the woman there said that only had tap water. Do they use tap water in the smoothies and ice? That is not very nice. I wanted to enjoy this place so much. The service was excellent, the shop was nicely designed, and the owners are so kind. I will return to try a different smoothie or juice flavor… Hopefully it will be better. I’d be happy to update my review.

The owners are so sweet. I tried the Mean-It, the fruit bowl and a gingershot. Everything was so great. The fruit salad was perfect– All the fruit was ripe and refreshing.

I first heard there would be a juice bar opening in this unit from the previous Taste of Adams Avenue. Since then, we always remembered they’d be there. We happened to have lunch nearby on New Year’s Eve, so we went there to grab a couple of smoothies. Not a ton of people. Just a few at the counter for DVDs, and we were the first to order smoothies. Since we were the only ones in line at the time, we took our time figuring out exactly what we wanted in our drinks. I was fairly sick at the time, so I asked for the best concoction packed with as much vitamin C as possible. Mine ended up having orange juice, oranges, tangerines, pineapple, and ginger. I brought it along my trip up to LA. It had some pulp near the end of it, but that’s ensures me that it was made from fresh ingredients. Fair warning: it’s a bit pricier. You’re looking at around $ 5 minimum per regular-sized drink. And in the instance it gets busy, there’s only one person on hand at a time. So, it’s a toss-up whether it will take a long time or not. However, by supporting them either by juice or video purchase, you are supporting a long-running landmark in the Kensington area and helping to ensure they stay open for years and years ahead.
