Established in 2000.

Started in the year 2000 by classically-​trained professional vocalist Eleonor England in San Francisco, Voice As Instrument has a solid reputation and track record of local, national, and international awards and hits, a 98% acceptance rate for school-​of-​choice, and a 100% audition rate for classical and musical theatre audition and role-​of-​choice (when applicable).

Business Owner

Ellie started playing music at the age of 2 on her mother’s baby grand piano. She started her journey as a singer at the age of 10. By age 15 she was taking opera and classical singing from Metropolitan Opera singer Larra Henderson, her daughter Laura Henderson, and distinguished opera singer Pauline Tweed — then living in San Diego.

Winning awards and accolades throughout her youth, Ellie finally ended up in jazz in the year 2000. She has been lauded as one of the best voices worldwide, as a world-​class voice, and the like. She resides in the United States and takes students in Amsterdam 4 times a year when she is there singing and teaching. She has sung extensively throughout California and worldwide to sold-​out auditoriums and is highly sought internationally as a vocal coach and has mentored many.
