Established in 2009.

Volt Mobile & Tech, a derivative of a many ideas, similar to the business model. The founding members have been working on their respective concentrations before the founding of Volt Technology LLC. With the efforts of all members in their specialized concentrations have created a company that is a force in the technology market with growing inertia by the day. Headquarters located in San Diego, California, satellite store in Greensboro, Alabama, and coming soon Downtown San Diego and Metro Detroit.

We want to be the future of retail. Established in April of 2009, until recently we were an online electronics vendor for. We finally opened a physical location in the city we live in Pacific Beach, San Diego. We hope to become a San Diego mainstay and as we grow we’ll always remember our San Diego roots. Kicked my new 32gig 3GS Iphone off the balcony today. shattered the entire screen, called apple and they wanted to charge me $ 225 to fix it. (I bought it yesterday for a little more than that) Went to Volt and they did it in 40 min and charge me only $ 65. Looks good as new :) Great guys, good service. I would recommend the place to anyone I know.

They really know what they’re doing, and they skip the BS. Sal was very professional, friendly and speedy. The screen on my iPhone 4 became a spider web after it fell out of my pocket. I walked in with no appointment, dropped it off in less then 8 minutes. He told me to be back in 30 minutes…30 minutes later I walked out with a fixed screen. The phone looked completely new and it cost less than I was quoted at the Apple Store.

Speed and courtesy. This is one of the best repair shops I have encountered. Walked in with a shattered iPhone 4 screen and when the tech said 30 minutes he wasn’t kidding. AWESOME!!! If you know someone who has a broken iPhone this is the place to send them.

Do not go here. Had to replace an iPhone 4S screen. Took it here, «fixed it» but the next day I notice it looked terrible, colors were off, wasn’t right at all. Took it back as it was obviously not replaced to standards. They said they didn’t have anymore screens so I had to wait a few weeks. Then took it back in and they replaced it with another screen.
Well, a few months later and I broke the screen again (need a better case I guess). Took it to a chain repair shop while on vacation and that other shop fixed it in no time. Wow, what a difference… brighter screen, no problems at all. The guy at the chain repair shop told me there were missing screws and everything inside looked screwed up. Based on my experience these guys are a scam… Go Elsewhere!

I attempted to get the screen on my laptop fixed at Volt and was given the run-​around for weeks! Made several trips to and from the store and ended up with a screen that’s worse than the original! The man behind the counter each time I’ve been in is rude and dismissive; once he even asked me if I could sit and wait to speak with him until he had finished his lunch that he was just openly eating at the front desk?! They rarely answer the phone and don’t seem to have any sense of organization or record of who dropped what off, just going off their keen sense of facial recognition, I guess. I finally requested my money back and was told to come back later in the day when he would hopefully have cash and would be able to pay me! Give me a break. So unprofessional. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

These guys spam Craigslist daily with tons of garbage ads filled with keywords. When their posts are flagged for removal, they repost their crap all over again. I wouldn’t do business with them on principle alone.

do NOT give this place your business. They will lie to your face and break verbal contracts. We were told they could replace the glass on my iPad, and after not hearing back from them for months I finally stalked enough to get the owner on the phone (dozens of unreturned calls later…). He assured me they were just waiting on one part… months later still nothing, after yet another set of unreturned phone calls he told me (literally 6 months after I dropped it off) that it was unrepairable. I asked him to give me back my ipad, but he had used the back case on someone elses repair and could not even return mine to me. He offered my 100 $ for the ipad and my troubles. I am currently pursuing a case through the BBB and with my lawyer. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I found this shop through searching Unilocal reviews after acquiring a virus on my laptop. They quoted me $ 60 to repair my laptop but later ended up charging me $ 125 because I «had a lot of data to back up.» I was happy with the service since they installed Windows 7 and now my PC is working great.

My husband cracked the glass on 2 4G slides and was told by the owner that he could fix the phones in a couple hours and it would take a 3 – 6 days for parts
He then ordered the wrong part, waited for my husband to call him and tried to blame the mistake on the supplier… whoever that is…
Finally, after 17 days and numerous calls from my husband, he was told the phone would be ready at 6pm this past Sunday.
We showed up and were told they wouldn’t fix it (by a very scared guy who said he didn’t want to lose his job) because the owner did not like my husband (btw, my husband is a sweetheart, you’ll just have to trust me).
They gave us our money back and we left with 2 broken phones.
ALSO-​upon further examination, one of the phones was damaged when they tried to fix it, but couldn’t.
See what I mean? FISHY.

My iphone 3GS screen shattered. I was upset because I have been waiting for the iphone 5 and didn’t want to buy a new one. My friend referred me to them as she cracked her phone twice and got it repaired by them for a great price.
The most important outcome is that they fixed my phone and it looks great!!! They charged me $ 40 flat. Amazing price! They told me over the phone that it would be 10 mins, but it ended up being ~2 hours. My friend had told me they fixed it in 10 min for her both times too. I don’t blame them for the wait time. There were 5 other phones ahead of me with cracked screens as well. This really let me know that they were pros at this. They’re good. .i’ll admit that.
The reason I took off 1 star is because of the false hours of business listed on the website and even this Unilocal site. The time list that on tues-​sat it is open until 8:00PM.
I actually attempted to go to their store 3 times before. 1st time I got there at 6:30PM. The door was locked. The neighboring stores all told me that they didn’t leave yet but that they tend to step out quickly and come back. So I waited until 7:15 in front of their store and then left when no one came. The second time I called because my biggest pet peeve is when people waste my time. I called at 7:00PM and no one answered, so i didn’t go. I did that another time where I called at 6:45PM and no answer. Finally, I called at 4:00PM on Thursday and someone picked up so I brought it in. I mentioned nicely that I’ve attempted to come multiple times but no one was there. **They then told me that their hours are actually until 7:00PM and that they leave promptly at 7:00PM**
Their services are great. My biggest tip is to go before 6:45PM and call if it’s after 6:30PM before going.

My Samsung galaxy epic screen cracked. When I called Volt they told me that the supplier was out of stock, and they had no idea when or if the screen would EVER be available from their vendor. Further the replacement would be upwards of $ 160 because it wasnt «just a screen but also a digitizer and «sometihng else.

Best place ever! Just went here tonight and it turned a dull night into one to remember! First of all, anyone who has an iphone or anything worth fixing needs to come here. Period. They take care of business. If you are a scammer, like the one that came in tonight– yelling at these guys is a waste of time. Take your Gen1 ipod back to middle school when you bought it and stop saying that it broke through osmosis. Even still these guys handled it SUPER CALM, one guy took out his smokes and the other was laughing while fixing my phone. Entertainment. They handled the angry customer with reason and class, bravo!
Plus my 3GS looks bran spankin new, shattered glass fixed and bought a screen protector for looks :) Plus is you can watch them do it which is super cool

These guys are awesome! My computer was running very slowly and often would crash in the middle of a project. 3hours and 80 bucks later she works like a brand new. I am so glad I brought my computer in, $ 80 vs buying a new computer– can’t beat that!
I am not too techy but the staff made me feel comfortable about asking questions and they were really honest so I felt confident that I was not being ripped off.
I like that they quoted a price before I left, rather than a ‘we’ll have to see once we get in there’ type of thing. I also know that you can check the status of your computer/​phone online, they leave progress notes and updates– I didn’t use it because my computer was ready so quickly.
Bottom line: Give them a try if your computer is giving you troubles.

This shop rocks! I hung out for about an hour while they replaced a screen on my daughters iPhone 3GS… I hung out a bit longer cuz these 4 guys were just riffing with me about social media and technology. It was banter awesomeness. I’m telling you it was like an HBO comedy. The 4 stooges!
Do yourself a favor and go into the shop and let these pro’s fix your mobile phones if you have any problems. Don’t replace it, repair it… Volt is the shit.
Don’t forget to follow them on twitter (I challenged them to get going on this)…if they don’t I’ll personally become their social media guru.

I looked around for the best deal on an iphone replacement screen since mine looked like a spider web.
It was convient to come in with my bike and this was the best price around. After coming home I noticed the top part of the screen was a little bit higher than the rest and I could squeeze it and it would move in and out making the hold switch turn on and off. This only happened if I squeezed it hard. Both things I could live with, so I didn’t pay too much attention.
After less than 3 weeks I dropped my phone about 6 inches very gently, which I had done for 2 years regularaly and much higher without my screen shattering. This time the sceen edges were sharp and could cut me unlike before where it was stil smooth. I realized that the screen he replaced it with was a much cheaper version and not OEM. I can’t fault them for that because I never asked.
After experiencing the level of work they did and the quality of the screen they replaced it with, the value was lacking. I have to replace the screen AGAIN in less than three weeks and the screen scratched in less than an hour after getting it, while the original screen was VERY scratch proof for a long period of time.
If you are looking for the cheapest replacement screen and don’t care for quality this is the place.

I just wanted to say that I had a great first experience at Volt Mobile in PB! I had to go in and get the power button on my iPhone 3G fixed. I waited a couple of hours and it was worth the wait! The guys who worked there last night were very nice and knowledgeable at what they do. I highly recommend this place and the prices are reasonable!
PS. A to Z were going to charge me between $ 80-​$ 90 dollars to have the power button fixed while Volt Mobile charged me $ 60.

The hinge on my Dell Inspiron 1525 went bad, which apparently is a common problem. I was scared that my screen would be ruined because the bent-​out-​of-​shape hinge was really causing strain on the entire top half of the lap top.
I ordered a new hinge and back piece to my laptop from dell and called Volt to get an estimate for repairs, they were really friendly and told me that they could do it no problem and that they were familiar with the issue.
I live in PB which is probably why I have some bias about the parking situation, but in response to the people who have vented frustration below – there’s free street parking ALL up and down Cass… maybe you were too busy to take a walk?
The shop IS small, but I don’t find that to be disheartening or a problem by any means and the fact that it’s been outlined as a cause of concern is weird.
They seemed pretty busy when I walked in (which was a good sign to me because it meant to me that business was trusted), but I was met with a hello and some eye contact (all I need) and I exchanged parts and pleasantries and contact information.
They charged me $ 60 for a job that dell was about to charge upwards of $ 200 for and they did it QUICK (like same day service).
I would recommend any computer repairs their way, they were nothing but nice. I believe I’ll be going to them for my iPhone repairs regardless of this ridiculous-​ness posted below.
