Walmart

Out of all the Walmarts in the South Bay community, this one is by the worst. It’s not because it’s not opened 24 hours, but the fact that the organization here is strange. I went to the electronics area, and someone decided to place a barrel of make up for $ 3. At the cleaning household area, a big barrel of assorted candies for 98 cents. People bring their dogs and cats in here. The grocery aisles are tiny and narrow, it is hard to navigate with people around you – let alone shopping carts. Finally, self-​check out lanes are glitchy and sensitive. «Unidentified item in bagging area. Remove this item, etc.» Kept getting this error message every time. I had someone help me, but they told me that they have to do a «store log-​in». But i couldnt pay, and i had to call assistance. The lady had to put her pass code again. Then i couldnt get my receipt, and the lady at Walmart, admitted that she hates these machines too.

Never seems to fail, there is always lines wrapped around the corner to check out. I don’t comprehend why they never have enough cashiers even though the parking lot is packed. Not to mention when you want to do self check out not only is there a line for that the cashier assistant that helps out is extremely rude and stands there yelling with a toothpick in her mouth… So unprofessional. I will only shop here unless its something I absolutely need since its down the street from my house.

It’s just like any other Walmart. This store has tighter spots so it hard to get around in the store while you shop. Every time I go there there is always someone asking me if I want to have a trip to Las Vegas. (Over by returns when you enter) this store is good for grab and get out of there I items.
The produce there is not that great. I got a bag of potatoes once and had to threw them all away. They were rotten from the inside. Stick to food 4 less if you want produce. Overall it’s just another Walmart that’s in a great location with other stores around.

On 2÷27÷16, I went to the Dennery Walmart to return a flat screen TV. The return process was handled very poorly by the customer service rep. She asked me to take the TV back to the TV department to get it checked out because it was «too heavy». The TV department then called the return desk to give the OK. Then I had to wheel the TV back to the front return desk. Even the TV guy said all she had to do was call to have someone come up to check it so the customer didn’t have to do all the footwork. She also kept bringing up that the TV was bought at the Encinitas store. They happened to be the only one that had it. I wasn’t about to drive 40 miles away when you can go to any location for returns. I got the refund but yikes!

Wallmart is a wallmart it has everything I need just like any other, what I don’t really like is the fact that it is always way too packed and on top of that they always have so many boxes of shipment in the aisles which make less room for costumers. Staff is okay, usually not so nice or helpful at times. However nothing will really stop me from coming to this wallmart I just wish they would work on some stuff.

This Walmart is closer to my house than the «supercenter» in Eastlake so I come here when I just want to get a few things and don’t feel like driving the few extra miles. To me this Walmart isn’t as bad as it is rated at all. It’s not perfect and lacks in some of the areas where the larger Walmart does not, but still is a reliable spot to grab a few items if you are close.

I was turned away at the auto service area because «it was 20 mins to closing to replace my headlight!» Was told they weren’t taking anyone because overtime wasn’t approved, as soon as I walked away they immediately took two more oil changes pushing them way over time. … They are clear and obvious reasons why’d wasn’t serviced. It’s sad. But I won’t be giving this Walmart anymore of my money. The manager on hand best response was they she was sorry in such a non empathetic manager.
I would give a negative stars if possible.

Ok, can’t stand the area much anymore as a lot of people are just plain rude and horrible.
This walmart has the worst customer base when it comes to rudeness and politeness.
Shelves most of the time are empty and missing product. Can’t truly complain as its the holidays but even during the regular time of the year it’s bad.
Associates (most I’ve encountered) are nice and try to help if they can understand me but sadly it’s not enough to save that store.

I thought I could try another location to get my oil change. The wait was approx. one and a half hours long, but I was able to leave to get to a dental appointment. Since my vehicle has a lot of mileage, I opted for the high mileage oil change. I left my phone number and information. The service man took my info and said that it will be another $ 6 for bottle service. I agreed and told him that it was okay. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was only expecting to pay $ 40. Instead, I was charged $ 60+ for my oil change. Really?!? I have over 200k miles on my vehicle and I never paid that much for an oil change. I would understand if it was a new car. Wow! I asked to speak to the manager to see why I was charged so much. She not only stated that the guy was new (I heard that he’s been there for a long time), she said they charged me for a gallon of oil ($ 17,99) for them to only use a half a quart. I did not agree to that and was not notified via phone call from their service department. They went ahead and opened a brand new gallon of oil without my knowledge. I was almost hooked on an extra charge from them. That was not cool! Needless to say, although the manager said she can only do it one time, I will never get my oil change at this location again. I will stick to where I usually go and not change. So much for trying a different location.
Other than that, this store is okay I’ve also come across to where some of their employees do not know where the locations of their trading cards and collector’s paraphernalia are.

This Walmart seems a bit better than the one on Broadway.. They are nicer! More organized and seems to have more things. It does seem crowded as fff tho… but what Walmart isint!? They also have a garden section

This store is completely out of control. It is 8pm and this store is clogging the aisles with pallets of shrink wrap merchandise making navigating through the store ridiculous. How do they expect shoppers to get around each other in these narrow aisles without having to walk the length of the store just to make a turn!!! Who’s stupid idea was this? I completely understand that they need to keep the shelves stocked but at 8pm? What the hell happened to stocking I the late hours or when the store is closed!!! I’m finding a new location and it’ll be worth the commute for a better shopping experience.

Every time I’ve been here I’ve been bombarded with some crazy person asking for money. Also, one evening, I drove to this Walmart and didn’t get out of the car because the parking lot is so dark. It is very poorly lit! I didn’t feel safe so I didn’t stop driving and just left. I definitely won’t be returning to this Walmart.

I’m waiting on my car to have its oil changed. I’ve done this several times before at Wal-Mart’s in Tx though. I’m watching these guys. They are moving like snails. I first had to wait in line outside for 15 min for some one to even come help me. I’m now inside… I’ve been here a total of a hour and my car has not been in yet for its oil change… I guess they think I have nothing better to do… and the lady behind the counter was rude and uppity when I asked her something about wanting to get my keys and just leave them my car key so she could make me a couple of keys while I waited. Needless to say I didn’t get any keys made either… what has happened to good old customer service?

The store is not well stocked when it comes to groceries, although the arts and crafts supplies are always a great deal, and during christmastime they have some really fantastic deals and it’s always easy to get something for everyone there, since their variety of items is so vast.

I usually come to this Walmart with my mom to get the usual stuff she needs. There is never a problem, it is always a normal trip without any problem whatsoever. THIS time unfortunately we went through the garden register and we were getting rung up by Stephany (who wears glasses). Anyway, after everything was scanned my mom noticed she forgot her card at a gas station nearby. We then tell Stephanie to hold our items and we will be right back to come and pay for it. She said there was no possible way and she would have to scan everything all over again. I was so annoyed that she said that since I myself have worked in retail and know for a fact that you can HOLD & RESUME, which gives you a receipt and one for the cashier to keep. We kindly suggested it and she said that there was no way she could do that, just lying and saying we were making stuff up. When we come back there was a different lady at the register, we had told her about the previous person and she was so angry about the fact that she said she couldn’t hold and resume when she most definitely could. This lady suggested we called a manager, and I was even more than glad to. Stephany came back from her extremely long bathroom break and started giving us an insanely rude attitude. Her co-​worker explained that she could do the hold and resume. All that Stephanie said was she is never on the register (total lie) and that she was told not to do that (another total lie). We had everything scanned once again and each time she was giving us attitude, saying rude things, saying very sarcastic comments.
Never AGAIN in my life, will I be coming to a Walmart until this woman is gone. All the manager said was that he will talk to her. After it took a manager to come and talk to me literally half an hour.

This trash location falls below the average Walmart store. Employee laziness and the average checkout line length exceeds reason, especially in the so-​called «Speedy Checkout» line, which isn’t manned. It’s what you expect at Walmart, except other locations occasionally surprise with competent employees, working registers, or products actually in the aisle labelled for that product. Today, I found the entire candy selection in the bread aisle.

Because this is the closest grocery store I tend to go here often.
Every time I come in ITS ALWAYS busy. But hey. Who can complain? It’s a store for everyone! The lines just get ridiculously long): sometimes when I come here and see the line I don’t even bother to shop I just leave.
They always run out of stuff so I try going in the morning when everything is stocked!
If you go at night about an hour before they close you’ll notice they have a bunch of workers restocking merchandise and food etc. I don’t like this because it gets crowded and everywhere I walk there’s a bunch of stuff blocking things I need to buy. Very inconvenient. They should do it after they close.
Customer service is good. Some sweet workers there who are very dedicated and really want to help you! –BUT the phone operator is ok. Every time I call I have to WAIT FOREVER or they hang up on me. I don’t bother to call anymore.

Went to Walmart looking for some socks. Great selection but this location is always packed with people. They even have a self check out which draws people who only have a few items. We only picked up 2 items.
This location has a lot to chose from. The toy section for girls was limited. We kept walking around. Clothes for my daughter was also limited.
The store is fairly clean. There is also a McDonald’s inside this Walmart. McDonald’s is also clean inside which is a good sign.
We come here occasionally. I like coming here when it’s not crowded.
They have a private parking lot which is always packed. This location is close to the 805 freeway on Palm Ave.

This particular Wal-​Mart has gotten worse over the years… and by worse, I don’t mean by Wal– Mart’s standards. They’re soooo busy! They recently did a remodel which included adding more food items and broadening selection. It’s not quite a Super Center, but it’s their cousin.
Ditch your cart if you can and grab a hand held one, otherwise you’ll take forever getting through the aisles. When I get one I always have regrets and am quickly reminded when I have to park it down a random aisle and walk my items back to it. Major cart tracking jams here!
The best part about this location is the self-​checkout which for some reason many don’t use often. I’m always baffled at why the lines are long and self-​checkout isn’t. Even though there is an option to switch languages on the machine, I’m thinking it may be due to the language barrier as it is located in a diverse, yet primarily latino community in South Bay. Maybe the customers aren’t sure how to operate it or it’s just not their preference. It works in my favor!
I only use self-​check out here. I’ve returned something once and they were efficient. Line was long though. No surprise there.
