Description

Specialties

Our Mission is to make your internet experience simple. At Webpass, we help residents and businesses by offering blazing fast, simple Internet in urban areas.

We do this by creating our own Ethernet network and by making it affordable and reliable. We are a team of highly dedicated individuals who share two things: a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to simplicity.

Our service allows users to easily and quickly surf the Internet without modems, contracts, or gimmicks. We built Webpass to take the hassle out of Internet, so our customers can enjoy the simplicity of online surfing.

History

Established in 2003.

It all started with one building in San Francisco. After experiencing success in the San Francisco Bay area, we realized that we could share this service with others and soon launched in San Diego, Miami, and Chicago.

Webpass was founded in 2003 by Charles Barr with the mission to be a leader in Internet excellence. The user-friendly Internet service has garnered rave reviews, drawing recognition from TechCrunch, SF Gate and Gigaom.

Today, Webpass powers tens of thousands of residential and business customers including Zappos, Foursquare, Wordpress, Mozilla, HBO Films, Oracle Racing, Lyft, and more.

Business Owner

Charles founded Webpass in 2003 and has over 20 years of product development, network design and implementation experience in the telecommunications industry. It all started with one building in San Francisco and grew from there. After experiencing success in the San Francisco Bay Area, Charles realized he could bring the concept of simple urban Internet to cities nationwide. Charles has a passion for problem-solving and continues to develop technologies that will positively impact the consumer’s broadband experience.
