It is always fun coming to this store. Everytime I visit, I feel like I am in Disneyland! So much produce of different species. restaurants and bakery! Stores for lottery and real state… I love the dynamics… the prices are very reasonable… Great Market! Loving the experience every return I make to this place!

This is a really amazing Korean market! I love how they have the food court. They have a lot of good snacks and ramen. I really love the sushi they have! It’s so good. Wow! many of the merchandise are so cheap.

Great spot to fill up on specialty Asian products. The produce is extremely well priced and good quality(although often at it’s ripest, so it doesn’t last very long). Love the selection of kimchee! Can be overwhelming especially on the weekends when it gets super crowded.

This place is amazing !!! Everything anyone looking for Asian food could ask for. Food court has a great variety of hot food and the store itself has ready to go hot/cold food in the back. A great variety of samples stations were set up with friendly staff members. Prices were great and variety was extensive. Full time piano player in the center of the food court was awesome. This place is much more than just a market, it is it’s own little world. Aside from the food court they also have a clothing store, bakery, travel center and a skincare shop. This is our new sushi place when we’re down here :)

Central HUB for all things Asian in San Diego! Stopped by today to pick up fixings for Korean BBQ tonight! For all my meat eating friends, a few packs of beef short ribs! For my veggie/vegan lovers… smoked tofu and a heap of Korean veggie side dishes like seasoned seaweed, black beans and green onions. Also a side of Japchae!(noodle) This place is always busy especially TODAY, the day before a holiday! But it’s ok… I enjoying listening to the various conversations around me that I can’t understand at ALL! Haha I also picked up some Chinese veggie dumplings which look pretty yum. This location also has a fun bakery called, «Paris Baguette Café» which serves French pastry with some Asian(Vietnamese) twist! MUSTSTOP in before you leave. Prices are good, service it good, and variety is abundant! Ps: Helps if you read or speak Korean, Japanese, Chinese or any other language the packaging has!

Great place to come for your Korean food needs. They sell ready-to-cook bulgogi and they even have side dishes like fish cake and kimchee. I love that this Zion has a food court that sells Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese food. They even have a boba place and several beauty stalls. When we came here on Saturday for lunch they had a karaōke lunch in the food court. The only thing is there are plenty of crazy people in the parking lot and driving here can get defensive! Look out!

Gets 4 starts because of the massive selection of verity and awesome Korean short ribs they marinate. They have a good vegetable selection because can be a dangerous part of the store because it’s packed with people. Good selection and good price but it’s not a quick in and out type of store

I love coming here for fruits, since it always seems to be always on sale. I also love looking at the random shops they have inside. They have clothes and bedding even… Which is pretty neat to have inside a grocery store. It’s basically a small mall inside. Whatever you may need, you may be able to find it inside. I love getting the boba tea here. It comes out super quick, and it’s not too sweet! It’s the same price as the local boba shops around, If not, this one may be a little cheaper!

In A Nutshell: –This Korean grocery store has-it-all, plus it’s well laid out w/plenty of room to shop. –Hard to beat the prices on veggies, fruits, fresh meats and seafood. Just look at my pix below. –The reason prices are darn good, is that there’s no middle man to take a cut before it gets to Zion — they have their own farms. Overall, you can also find all sorts of asian kitchen tools(i.e. stainless steel steam baskets for a few bucks cheaper than your normal asian grocer). Wish we had this store in the Bay Area.

Zion Market is pretty neat. They have many little shops and restaurants inside the shopping center, really convenient if you want to grab a quick bite or small gift. The supermarket has a wide selection of produce, and prices are relatively cheap. I’ve only been here 2 – 3 times and my experience have all been pretty great. It’s not as clean as your typical American grocery store, but it is not disgusting. I really like to get their marinated meat as well as pre made food. The store is located right across from Ranch 99, another asian supermarket. I’d recommend to check out both and see which you like more!

I absolutely love Zion Market. It is a great place to stop by for most of your Asian food needs. They have a huge selection of every item so you are sure to find what you like. Want gyoza(potstickers) well they have over 20 kids to choose from. Want noodles, well there is an aisle full of refrigerated noodles and then there are frozen too. They have one of the largest produce sections I have seen and they have awesome prices. The other day they had green onion 7 bunches for 99 cents. Where else can you find that deal. Their deals are beat even most of the Mexican markets. Just watch the quality of the produce some of it is on it’s way out. There is a great meat are with all types of unmarinated and marinated meats as well as a large selection of packaged meats. They offer some items that are hard to find like silkie chicken. They also have a large fish are with some fresh items but mostly frozen. Take a trip to Zion and you will be sure to spot some good finds. Oh and they do samples of weekends of some items. If you are hungry they have a food court and some shops. Spotted Cow has one of my favorite egg noodle soups. Soooo good.

White and black people do go here… oh yes, I meant us. We took our boys with us this time. One of them is a garbage disposal, one is a foodie, and the other is as picky as an orchid on a cool spring day. We sauntered over to the food court and my boys were a little shy at first. They knew they wanted some food, but they were not sure what to say. Thank goodness they figured it out. They absolutely loved the food and were accepting of all different tastes and textures. Sushi was the big hit. Even if it was a California roll for the orchid. I fell in love with the #7 at the one between the Vietnamese and Tofu Grill. Yeahup, I cant pronounce it, soooo what. The fried pork was scrumptious, crunchy, porky, and lovely. I was super stoked on the cleanliness, ease of access, abundant seating, prices, and service. I hate paying 50 cents for a togo box and I am unsure why, but I paid it and went on my merry way.

I return with mum, she wanted to buy oranges. She made me bag oranges. Some were bruised, but they were quite cheap. And with too many people fiddling about with the same oranges. Among other things my mom wanted to buy, were regular vegetables. The check out was normal, I always dread the cashiers, then went home. I did notice the don’t eat or throw produce signs. That means please gently handle materials.

Love coming here, wide variety of everything you could possibly want in a Korean market. There is lots of grains, seafood, chocolates, my favorite is the frozen steam buns. All their meat is decently priced and their sales are really great. A fun place to check out, a great place to get groceries. Their produce beats out trader joes and sprouts by far.

THEWORSTEVER. Don’t waste your time or or money coming here. Here are the following reasons I am now avoiding this place and why you should consider avoiding as well: — the staff are very rude! — rude staff! — rude staff! — EXTREMELYRUDE Staff! — the staff have no manners at all. They don’t approach you with any professionalism what so ever. One employee in particular scolded me like a child. Must we really deal with such trashy behavior? Really? I use to frequently come here. As of today, Jan 17, 2016. I am never coming back. This is the first review I have given that is 1 star. It actually deserved 0 stars, but there’s no option to do so. You can only imagine my disdain from this awful place. So, unless you want to put up with nasty attitudes then so be it. You are better off at: — H Mart — Marukai I have never experienced anything or anyone unpleasant in these stores. And the products are quality! :-)

Zion Market started first at San Diego. Now, they have 6 different branches like folloiwngs. Here is that escpecially fruits are very fresh and cheap. Zion Market offers weekly manager sales, so if you find good deal every week, you can save a lot of money on the same items. Also, You can buy fruits such as pears, tomatoes, apples etc at cheap prices. It is spacious, so you don’t need to worry to hit anybody during shopping here. Zion Market at San Diego has food plaza including Spotted Cow, Hong Kong Banjum, Coco Hodu, CDD Tofu, Paris Baguette etc. Also, there are an insurance company, a pharmacy, a real estate, a fany goods store, a cosmetic shop etc. , so you can do one-stop shopping at Zion Market MalL at San Diego. Every branch opens 356 days a year. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — *.7655 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA92111 Tel:1−858−268−3300, 9:00am to 9:00 pm *.4800 Irvine Blvd., Irvine, CA92620 Tel.: 714−832−5600, 9:00am to 9:00pm *.13321 Aretesia Blvd., Cerritos, CA90703 Tel: 562−677−0900, 8Am to10Pm *. 12565 Carson St., Hawaiian Gardens, CA90716 Tel.562−865−6600, 8:00am to 9:00am *.3500 W. 6th St., Los Angeles, CA90020 Tel.:213−351−9900, 8:00am to12:00am *.5400 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, CA90621 Tel.:714−367−5400, 8:00am to 10:00pm

Few years ago, Zion Market was located on Mercury, and parking was a nightmare. When the market took over the old Kmart/Sears Essentials location, it was a match made in heaven. This is one of the largest Asian markets in San Diego, and it has a massive parking lot. Came here on Wednesday and picked up: organic white miso, two kinds of kimchi(Napa cabbage and radish), sushi rice, marinated boneless short rib, tri color banchan, marinated fishcake and a 750 ml bottle of Kurosawa sake. I thought prices were very fair, selection was impeccable and quality of fresh products were superb. Not the first time I have been here, will not be the last… for my money, Mitsuwa, Ranch 99 and Zion form the Holy Trinity of Asian markets in San Diego.

I love this place. Not only are the prices reasonable, the veggies/fruits are always fresh! They tend to have a lot of deals in the veggies/fruit area as well. Within this store are also other small shops & food places to eat; you must try or at least check it out!

First time at Zion and long overdue ! Very bright and spacious inside ! As far as cleanliness goes, well let’s just say I’ve seen worse. Wow !!! Cheap produce !! May not be organic, but the prices can’t be beat ! I usually do my fruit haul here if I’m in the area. I can’t rate anything else, but I like to purchase my fruits by the bulk here. So far I’ve gotten boxes of mangoes, Asian pears, cactus pears, papayas, melons, golden kiwis, persimmons, and they even have coconuts for cheap. Seriously thinking of getting a coco jack just for them cocos ! Best bang for your buck ! I do prefer local Farmers markets for organic, but this is my next best option when I’m in dire need of tropical FRUITS !!! Get this: I spotted mangoes by the bulk in December ?! SCORE !! Tons of parking which is wonderful, especially at Asian grocery stores. That is usually something I dread especially on the weekends. Going here I have not had a problem. I do recommend coming during the week to avoid the stampede of shoppers. This season everyone is attacking the persimmons ! It can get crowded, but less stressful when you don’t have to dodge people and their carts during the weekday. It’s like an Asian Costco in my opinion. They have a food court and the infamous Paris Baguette Bakery !! I’m all about the FRUIT here so I can’t vouch for all the other items. Zion, I think I kind of like you. Three and a half stars !!!

Great one stop shop supermarket for all your Asian ingredients, cookware, meals, pastries, BBQ, beauty supplies… You name It! Huge place, huge parking lot, friendly shoppers and staff. Not stinky. I just moved here recently and haven’t gotten any Asian spices… So I came here and went to town. And it had everything I needed and more. Had to keep refocusing myself because I would literally chill in the aisles to examine all my choices. At some point, enough is enough and it was time to get outta there. But with self reassurance that I’ll be back, I was able to slowly move thru the aisles. I wasn’t shy about asking people for kimchi recs, gojuchung(sp?), etc, but anyone was willing to help. Some of the Hispanic workers admittedly didn’t eat Korean food, so I was happy to find other shoppers that helped me out. They also had a good selection of fresh veggies and herbs. I was bummed they ran out of cilantro, but I simply can’t complain with how well stocked everything else was. Prices aren’t the cheapest, but it’s convenient, because I didnt have to drive around looking for stuff(unless you’re the type that has the very cheapest prices, then it would be more of a specialty site for you). And if you’re hungry, they have a whole section for food… Actually there’s little spots all around the store — like a to go type booth near marinated meats and seafood. I didn’t check it out, because the calling into Paris Baguette bakery, near the entrance, was too strong. But come check it out. You definitely won’t regret the drive out to this neighborhood.

Zion is legit. I love to travel and when I can’t — I try to satisfy my wanderlust with exotic cuisine. I love getting out of the norm and wandering the aisles here for new exciting things. Plus the prices are usually so great! Especially the product — amazing deals! It’s HUGE– with so many different sections from prepared food, a Parisian style bakery, food court, massive fish and meat section, etc — this place has it all! I always find exactly what I’m looking for. I recently started attempting to make some of my favorite Asian dishes and this place has been my go-to. So much fun to experiment with new flavors! Check it out!

My new favorite place. It really feels like youre somewhere else. Takes me back to my spring break vacation in North Korea… I love this place. The people are friendly and they all have different haircuts and they have all sorts of cool stuff here. I mean really cool stuff. The prices are nuclear! $ 5 per Lbs of large shrimp! I can seriously find stuff here that I cant find anywhere else. Shoot you can find stuff here that people in korea cant even find. There is plenty of food options inside the actual store as well as in the food court of the market. Food is not rationed, contrary to belief. Gets super packed. Especially in the produce area. By the way its all real fruits and vegetables, no plastic stuff(the interview) Its near impossible to navigate with so many shopping carts. Its like a mine field! Awesome place tho.

When I lived in Orange County I used to go to the H-Mart off Jamboree in Irvine. I was sad when I moved here because I didn’t know what to replace H-Mart with… Until I came to Zion! :D I actually love Zion way more. The store is huge and I can get all my Korean and other Asian food necessities I love: rice, kimchi, banchan, and of course, barbecue. There is also a food court and some boutiques that sell wares and trinkets. Never shopped in those places, although the food court has some pretty good meals. Parking lot is huge and I’ve never had an issue with finding a spot. There is also wifi in the store! Huge plus! ;)

This is our go to market! We get our produce, meat and snacks here all the time. We usually go on a weekend and I definitely suggest going early in the morning or later in the day otherwise it’s just crazy packed here all the time! Their produce are mostly hits than miss and also cheaper than Ranch 99. Everything is organized and it doesn’t smell funky here, which is always a plus! We also love their food court and go here for a quick meal. Although I wish the prices are a bit cheaper. There are tons of parking in this lot, just make sure to be careful with the crazy asian drivers ;)

Great super asian market for all your asian cooking needs! Tons of korean items like pre-made side dishes, kimchi, seaweed, etc. They have tons of fresh seafood and live fish, crawfish, crabs, lobster, clams, snails. They have a nice selection of marinated korean bbq that you can order by the pound. Their bbq beef/bulgogi/ribs range from around $ 6.99/lb. I also like that they have pre-made lunches/dinners that you can buy. Like rice bowls, sushi, etc. etc. Not to mention but they also have other businesses inside, like bakeries, restaurants, and gift shops. Pretty sure you’ll find at least one thing you’ll like or need in here.

Absolutely love this market! I have yet to figure out the best time of day to shop since the place is always jammed with people! Great selection of many good items. The produce department is mainly what I go for! It’s huge, awesome prices, and always fresh! Yesterday I filled a cart and lost track of my running total in my head. When I got to the register I figured it had to be close to $ 100. The guy at the register and I were making bets on the total and he said $ 65, so for the fun of it I said $ 56… the total was $ 41! Almost felt as though I should go back and get some more items. So now we’re all stocked up and ready for a week+ of juicing!

My go-to grocery store for ALL my korean craving needs. Kimchi? Soju? Bulgogi? Banana Milk? I can go on. I love this place, it’s heaven to me. The parking is HUGE, of course on weekends it can be busy but there is always parking space unlike Ranch99. There is also a Korean Food court in here, as well as The Face Shop! And of course a dessert café. I enjoy that this place is so bright too and that their baskets to carry your groceries are shaped to your hip so it doesn’t hurt while you’re carrying those large containers of Kimchi. Just saying. I have no real complaints, sometimes the stuff I want can be out of stock but for me that’s okay, there’s other surrounding asian markets that probably carry whatever it is I’m looking for. This place is very similar to Hmart but I don’t really see them giving samples like Hmart in Mira Mesa. All in all, I still love this place! Can never go wrong with korean groceries and their cool selection of ice cream!

Went here to check out the grocery section since we were in the area. I love this place. As we walked in, we walked through the narrow hallway near Paris Baguette. I saw that there was a small food court, a boba place and small stores within this market. We ended up buying a pineapple for 99 cents. We also got peaches, plums, and a couple of Korean melons. Also got some snacks for my daughter. I found a lot of the produce on sale. There were crowds forming as it got later in the day. Parking was full by the time we left. I have heard so many good things from other Unilocalers and I finally got to check this place out. I wish we had a location closer to where I live. The cashier was super friendly when we paid for our stuff. Cashier even gave my daughter one of those Thank You stickers! That was so cool! Great experience shopping here. Just come early!

Yay! it’s only April and I’ve gotten 100 reviews in with Zion being my 1100th review. Awesome. I’ve been to Zion before but haven’t written a review. Here’s the deal +marinated Korean BBQ +Korean sides +cheap veggies and fruit +good eats while shopping +tons of Asian food –shit ton of people –crazzzzy old Asian ladies! –smells like fish It’s like a swap meat in a grocery store. You may get run over by people if you don’t hurry the f up. It’s all for one here. I usually come for the marinated Korean BBQ, it’s all made for you and easy to cook. Also they have pre-made food for lunches and samples as well.
