History
Established in 2012.
I made my first batch of deodorant in 2007 and wasn’t prepared for the results. Miraculously, it worked! When it comes to sweating and body odor, I’m a professional. I would wear 2 different brands of antiperspirant after my shower and carry a 3rd in my purse. I’d always have about 10 types in the bathroom, none of them natural because they didn’t work for me.
So when I made a deodorant that worked 3 times better, I had difficulty believing. It required a dramatic paradigm shift. Why, I wondered, could I make a deodorant that worked for 24 hours, didn’t contain dangerous chemicals and didn’t stain my shirts when the big corporations couldn’t (or didn’t) and what other «miracle» solutions existed?
As I found easy, natural and effective products, my desire to share them with others grew. So I created my company in honor of Ziryab, an Andalusian master musician who is said to be the first to introduce deodorant and toothpaste to society.

Trained as a theatre director, I am an award winning scriptwriter and playwright of 7 produced plays. I love to paint, do graphic design, sew and generally create things. When I was little, I’d wait until my Mom went out and I’d sneak into the kitchen and «create» food. I like people, want to make the world a better place and be valued by my community. I love dogs, cats and animals. I love going to Burning Man and my husband and I head a camp there called Camp DIY.
